The Senior Citizen Visitor ProgramThe Senior Citizen Visitor Program allows Hawai`i’s senior citizens to “visit” courses that are offered at the University free of charge. Visitors are exempt from payment, no credit is awarded and no permanent records are retained in the Office of Admissions and Records. Senior citizen students who wish to enroll in courses to receive credit are required to pay the same tuition and fees as other students and to register through PA‘E, the University of Hawai`i at Manoa online registration system. Almost 200 senior citizens visit classes at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa each semester. They add to the diversity of campus culture and contribute from their life experience to the classroom setting.
