Core Activities
Annual Hawaiʻi State Science and Engineering Fair
Through a special arrangement between Graduate Professional Access (GPA) and Graduate Women In Science (GWIS) Alpha Lambda Chapter of the Pacific with the Hawaiʻi Academy of Science Educational Programs, GPA students have the opportunity to judge presentations presented by local high school students at the Annual Hawaii State Science and Engineering Fair. GPA students and members of Alpha Lambda Pacific Chapter select winning student projects and present them with a certificate of merit at the awards ceremony. By encouraging and motivating aspiring young scientists, GPA students help to build interest in higher education and in particular, research in fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
