Course Description: Closed captioned.

GG 101 includes 30, one-hour video programs based on the series "Earth Revealed," a production of the Southern California Consortium. Assignments include 4 exams taken at home and a written report about a self-guided field trip. Take a tour of planet Earth through this introductory college-level geology course. Students learn about the Earth's physical environment: plate tectonics and other internal processes, earthquakes, mountain building, rocks, minerals, volcanoes, landscape development, and man's relationship with Earth's hazards and resources. Examine how interacting geological systems impact the Earth and the environment and how our everyday activities are linked to acts of nature. 4 exams taken at home. Homework project includes a self-guided tour.
