Course Requirements:
Requirements: Miscellaneous construction materials and tools for (1) a small 3-dimensional model and (2) an illustration board display project.
Materials such as an X-Acto knife, a "foam core" board, etc. (along with
sizes and other requirements) will be listed in the first "class."

Send e-mail to instructor at before the end of the first day of instruction.

Exams are taken on campus at Honolulu Community College or other approved locations.
Course Description:
A broad survey of materials used in construction and buildings and other structures comprised of those materials. Materials and methods of light wood construction, lumber classifications and uses, plywood, concrete, metals, plaster, and drywall, glass, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems are some of the topics studied.
