Course Description: This course is an introduction to the fiction and poetry produced by contemporary Native Americans. Students will watch and listen to films of authors discussing their writing and concepts important to their work. Modes of discourse and the impact of Native American cultures, concerns and philosophy on the fiction and poetry of these authors will be the primary foci of the course.
