Course Requirements:
This is a hybrid class that will be held both online and in-person.
Course Prerequisites:
Pre: Placement into ENG 100 or concurrent enrollment in ENG 22; and completion of or concurrent enrollment in any 100 level or higher physical or biological science.
Course Description:
This course is designed for students in any major. The objectives of the course are to aid students in developing meaningful and functional understanding of key concepts and interrelations that occur within the Earth?s Climate. Topics of study will include, but are not limited to Climate Variability and Change, Global Water Cycle, Energy and Mass Transfers, Solar Energy and Climate, and Geoengineering. This course will also provide students with activities that facilitate insight into the nature of science as an intellectual activity and to help students develop more positive attitudes about science and increase their confidence in their ability to do science.
