Qualification for ENG 100; MATH 25 or higher completion.
Course Description: ECON 130 focuses on price system and market structures; theory of consumer behavior and market demand; production costs and the theory of the firm under competition, monopoly, oligopoly, and monopolistic competition; social costs, ecology, and externalities; public policy and income distribution; conservation and energy; population economics; food and the agricultural
sector; and fundamentals of international economics. Emphasis will be placed on writing, problem-solving, critical thinking, and abstract reasoning.
