Course Description: This course is an introductory programming course using the Java Programming Language. The student will learn how to display information to the screen, accept keyboard input, control program flow using branching and loops, and learn how to use basic data structures. In addition, the student will be introduced to Object Oriented Programming concepts and learn to create reusable code as well as how to design an application using the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Textbooks: Introduction to Programming with Java: A Problem Solving Approach, 2nd Edition by Dean and Dean.
