Course Description:
Provides the basic foundation to computer security, including identifying threats, planning for business continuity, and preparing for various security attacks. Focus will be given to threats to financial security such as attacks on banking and other related financial information. Special emphasis on ethics and legal issues that covers hacking and other cybersecurity techniques and tactics.
Technical Requirements:
The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.

Minimum Computer Hardware/Software Requirements:
PC with Windows 98, NT, 2000 or XP or a Macintosh II running System 9. Netscape Navigator 7.0 or higher, or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher; a 56k modem connection (DSL or Roadrunner recommended); an e-mail client; word procession software (e.g. Microsoft Word/Works, Clarisworks, etc.); and basic internet skills (browsing, sending email, saving/sending files.
