:: Rights of the Disadvantaged

Credit in or qualification for ENG 100 or ESL 100.
|Course Description:||LAW 181 provides an overview of the basic legal
rights of the physically disabled, the mentally
challenged, and the economically disadvantaged.
Existing governmental programs at the federal,
state, and local levels will be analyzed to determine what benefits are available and in what areas the existing programs are inadequate. Applicable rights stemming from the Constitution, statutes, and regulations will also be explored.

|Technical Requirements:||Cable class may include an online component. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access and a UH email account.
