|Course Prerequisites:||Rec Prep: BUS 120 and MKT 120. Prerequisite: ENG 21 or ENG 22 with a grade of C or better or equivalent or consent of instructor. Students must check their
UH email for course correspondence before the first day of instruction. To be successful in this course, students must (1) have full regular access to a computer
and to the Internet; (2) have basic computer skills (opening, saving, renaming files); and (3) be familiar with a standard word processor (i.e. MS Word); (4)
proficient in navigating the WWW and downloading files; and (5) have a UH email address.
|Course Description:||An introductory view of retailing and its relative position in the marketing chain. Primary emphasis is on the basic functions of a retail store, including finance and control, operations, personnel, merchandising and sales promotion.|
