|Course Requirements:||Recommended Preparation:
Basic computer competency skills.
ENG 21 and ENG 22 or equivalent (qualification for ENG 100) or instructor approval.
ART 115 and basic computer competency skills.
|Course Description:||ART 112 is an introduction to digital technology
and its applications in the production of visual art.Emphasis will also be placed on developing an
aesthetic criteria for evaluation.
These ART 112 class sections (CRN 32113, 32114) are conducted on the Internet.
|Technical Requirements:||Students are required to have access to high speed internet -AND- make time to use the NMA Lab at KCC(which hold all the necessary technical resources) for completing assignments Adobe CC version of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash -OR- Own a computer capable of installing the 30-day trial versions of these software programs (as instructed at appropriate times during the semester); alternatively, students are also able to purchase subscriptions to the software at highly discounted educational rates through the UH bookstore. Should you choose to work on your own computer with the trials or purchased software and malfunctions occur, you are expected to use the NMA lab resources to complete your assignments.
