Course Restrictions: WI courses are restricted to 20 students as set forth by the UH system Writing Intensive Committee.
Course Prerequisites: Pre: Completion of 6 lower division credits and completion of or concurrent enrollment in ENG 200.
Course Description: Reviews the general nature of research and its usefulness in problem solving. The application of various survey techniques to the “real world” informational needs of administrators and organizations will be covered. Students will become familiar with such techniques as sampling, questionnaire development, collation of data, and computer programming of data. The
incorporation of these techniques into a good research proposal will also be covered.
