Course Prerequisites: Grade of ā€œCā€ or better in MATH 103 or placement into MATH 135 or higher, or consent of instructor.
Course Description: Discrete Mathematics introduces the student to the mathematical foundation of Computer Science. This is the first semester of a two semester program in Discrete Mathematics. This course covers logic, sets, functions, matrices, algorithmic concepts, mathematical reasoning, recursion, counting techniques, and probability theory.
Textbooks: Discrete Mathematics with Applications, 4th edition, by Susanna Epp
