Grade of “C” or better in MATH 103 or placement into MATH 135 or higher, or consent of instructor.
Discrete Mathematics introduces the student to the mathematical foundation of Computer Science. This is the first semester of a two semester program in Discrete Mathematics. This course covers logic, sets, functions, matrices, algorithmic concepts, mathematical reasoning, recursion, counting techniques, and probability theory.
