Course Description: GEOG 101L is a laboratory survey course of the global environment. Included in the course are analysis of the natural environment through field and laboratory observation/experiments. Emphasis is placed on Hawai‘i and on human modification of the environment.
Technical Requirements: This GEOG 101L class section (CRN 31833)is conducted on the Internet.

The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.

Minimum Computer Hardware/Software Requirements:
PC with Windows 98, NT, 2000 or XP or a Macintosh II running System 9. Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Firefox for Mac users; a 56k modem connection (DSL or Roadrunner recommended); an e-mail client; word procession software (e.g. Microsoft Word/Works, etc.); and basic internet skills (browsing, sending email, saving/sending files.
