Course Requirements: Students will be contacted by their instructor by UH email before the first day of instruction. Students must check their email for course correspondence before the first day of instruction.
Course Prerequisites: Grade of C or higher in ENG 21, or placement in ENG 100, or consent of instructor.
Course Description: This is a Windward CC Course. Introduction to structure and functions of cells, tissues, organs, and systems of the human body. Topics related to physical fitness, nutrition, health, and disease. Not intended for science majors. Students who have received credit for or are currently enrolled in ZOOL 101 may not receive credit for BIOL 100.

Technical Requirements: Cable allows students to take a course at home. To enroll in a cable course, students must subscribe to Oceanic Time Warner Cable to view the higher education access channel:

Before registering for the course, prospective students should check with their cable provider or programming line-up to verify they can view the education cable access channel at their home. If student resides in a region of their county that is unable to receive the educational cable access channel listed above, the student should not register for this course via cable.
This class will be administered over the internet using Laulima. Consequently, it is mandatory that students have access to a computer with internet connection. It is further recommended that students also have an email address to communicate with instructor and classmates. It is recommended that students videotape the broadcast of their class sessions in case they are unable to view it during the scheduled broadcast time. Students should be familiar with setting the timer on their VCR to record.
