Course Requirements:
This course is conducted on Laulima. No face to face meetings. No access code necessary. Must be able to go to any UH Campuses Testing Center to take proctored Mid-terms and Final Test. Students must check their UH e-mail for course correspondence before the first day of instruction.
Course Prerequisites:
MATH 22 and ENG 22 or ENG 24 with a grade of C or better or equivalent or instructor approval.

Course Description:
This course is a description of the nature of the astronomical universe for science and non-science majors, with emphasis on scientific method and development of scientific thought. Course offers a descriptive treatment of planets, the solar system, stars and galaxies and also discusses concepts of size, distance and time in the observable universe. (DP)
