| Course Description: | ESS 100 is an introductory course about the seven components of wellness: Physical, Social, Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual, Occupational, and Environmental. This course is designed to empower students with the knowledge and ability to improve their life-long wellness. |

| Technical Requirements: | Cable allows students to take a course at home. To enroll in a cable course, students must subscribe to Oceanic Time Warner Cable to view the higher education access channel:
Oahu County: Olelo channel 55 Maui County: MCCTV channel 55 Hawaii County: Na Leo O Hawaii channel 55 Kauai County: Hoike channel 55 Before registering for the course, prospective students should check with their cable provider or programming line-up to verify they can view the education cable access channel at their home. If student resides in a region of their county that is unable to receive the educational cable access channel listed above, the student should not register for this course via cable. It is recommended that students also have an email address and access to a computer with Internet connection to communicate with instructor and classmates. For more information in regards to obtaining a UH email account please go to the following website: http://www.hawaii.edu/askus/563 It is recommended that students videotape the broadcast of their class sessions in case they are unable to view it during the scheduled broadcast time. Students should be familiar with setting the timer on their VCR to record.
