| Course Description: | This course focuses on the principles of all animation that fit into the category of visual effects and character animation. Students will review live action and animated examples and learn some of the mysteries behind the production of convincing special effects. Topics include animation history, animation principles and an introduction to compositing software. Students will focus on traditional animation principles and how they are effectively applied in digital animation environments. Additional topics include key-frame strategies, an introduction to timing and rendering. |
