| Course Description: | This course provides students with a general and basic understanding of substance use, abuse, and dependency. Students will explore the historical and societal perceptions of substance use, patterns and trends of use, and societal and legal responses to drugs and alcohol. Methods of ingestion, effects on the individual, prevention, intervention, and treatment will be identified and analyzed. |
