|Course Requirements:||Recommended Preparation:
Basic computer competency skills.
ENG 21 and ENG 22 or equivalent (qualification for ENG 100) or instructor approval.
ART 115 and basic computer competency skills.
|Course Description:||ART 112 is an introduction to digital technology
and its applications in the production of visual art.Emphasis will also be placed on developing an
aesthetic criteria for evaluation.
This ART 112 class section (CRN 32053) is conducted on the Internet.
|Technical Requirements:||Students are required to have access to high speed internet, own their own computer OR make time to use the NMA lab for completing assignments using the CS6 version of Adobe CS Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash, or own a computer capable of installing the 30-day trial versions of these software programs (as instructed at appropriate times during the semester.) As a student, you are also able to purchase the required software at highly discounted educational rates through the UH bookstore.|
|Additional Notes:||Please check your MyUH portal account regularly for announcements about class cancellations, UH system announcements, and/or email. New Media Arts computer labs, containing all of the necessary software for this course, will be available during open lab hours.
