The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.
Examination and application of sociological and psychological theories to sport including the influence of race, ethnicity, gender, identity and human development, social class, disabilities, and sexual orientation on the sport experience. A-F only.
Books may be purchased at the UH Manoa bookstore or ordered online at http://www.bookstore.hawaii.edu/manoa/home.aspx

Please note that tuition for extension term classes is charged per credit and is NOT included in Fall/Spring semester tuition. Students receiving UH Manoa financial aid should contact Financial Aid Services (808-956-7251 or email@example.com) before registering for extension term classes to assure that their financial aid package will cover these classes.
