Course Prerequisites: MATH 22 or placement at MATH 23, and ENG 22 with at least a C or placement at ENG 100, or consent.
Course Description: Integrates basic concepts of science with the study of human nutrition. Introduces nutrients and what food and nutrients do for humans. Looks at how healthy people can best get the amounts of nutrients and food they need throughout their lifetime. Studies how people and the environment change nutrient content.

Technical Requirements: The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Minimum Computer Hardware/Software Requirements:
PC with Windows 98, NT, 2000 or XP or a Macintosh II running System 9. Netscape Navigator 7.0 or higher, or Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher; a 56k modem connection (DSL or Roadrunner recommended); an e-mail client; word procession software (e.g. Microsoft Word/Works, Clarisworks, etc.); and basic internet skills (browsing, sending email, saving/sending files.
