| Course Description: | MATH 103 is a course in College Algebra. It extends topics introduced in the elementary algebra sequence and prepares students for precalculus. Instruction includes units on algebraic simplification of polynomial, rational, exponential, and radical expressions, as well as solving equations and inequalities involving absolute value, polynomial, rational, exponential, and radical expressions, and the graphing of lines and parabolas. The topic of functions is introduced early in the course and is integrated in the subject matter throughout the course. A scientific calculator is required.
