|Course Requirements:||Students should purchase their text and register their WileyPLUS code prior to the first day of class using information received via email from the Instructor and on the Course Syllabus.
Students will be contacted by their instructor by UH email before the first day of instruction. Students must check their UH email for course correspondence before the first day of instruction.

|Course Description:||BUS 120 surveys the external factors that impact a business, the various forms of business organization and internal business functions and practices that impact the successful operation of a business along with social responsibility of businesses and how the decisions made by businesses impact the external environment.|
|Textbooks:||A WileyPLUS Registration Code is REQUIRED for this course. The WileyPLUS Registration Code provides access to the student learning resources needed to complete the text-book related assignments. It also provides students with access to an electronic copy of the textbook during this course.

ii) For those who prefer to read the text online, website access to the book is provided only during the course by purchasing a WileyPLUS Code online for this textbook directly from the publisher. Follow instructions provided in the Course Syllabus to purchase a WileyPLUS Registration Code directly from the publisher.
To purchase or register your WileyPLUS Registration Code, follow the guidelines in the document titled Textbook & WileyPLUS (provided separately in the Syllabus tool in Laulima).

|Technical Requirements:||The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.

|Additional Notes:||Alternate Technology Access Plan: In registering for a Distance Education course (Cable or Web) the student is responsible for finding immediate alternate access to a computer with Internet connectivity or cable television should that student experience technical difficulties. Technical difficulties can include but are not limited to problems with a student's computer hardware/software; inoperability of a student's VCR or DVR; or lack of service by a student's Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Cable Provider. Technical issues do not constitute the extension of an assignment, project, quiz or exam deadline unless agreed upon by the instructor.
An Alternate Technology Access Plan will be made by the student prior to the start of the semester and should be implemented immediately upon encountering technical difficulties. The student is required to continue course work as a result of having an alternate plan of access while independently resolving any technical issues with hardware/software, VCR/DVD, ISP, or Cable Provider.
