Course Prerequisites: Recommended Prep: FIRE 100 and FIRE 102

Prerequisite: "C" or higher in ENG 22/60 or ESL 23, OR Placement in ENG 100; Placement in MATH 24/50
Course Description: This course provides the components of building construction that relate to fire and life safety. The focus of the course is on firefighter safety. The elements of construction and design of structures are shown to be key factors when inspecting buildings, preplanning fire operations, and operating at emergencies.
