|Course Requirements:||Recommended Preparation:
Basic computer competency skills.
ENG 21 and ENG 22 or equivalent (qualification for ENG 100) or instructor approval.
ART 115 and basic computer competency skills.
|Course Description:||ART 112 is an introduction to digital technology
and its applications in the production of visual art.Emphasis will also be placed on developing an
aesthetic criteria for evaluation.
These ART 112 class sections (CRN 34928, 34929) are conducted on the Internet.
|Technical Requirements:||Students are required to have access to high speed internet -AND- make time to use the NMA Lab at KCC for completing assignments using the current version of Adobe CS Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash or own a computer capable of installing the 30-day trial versions of these software programs (as instructed at appropriate times during the semester).
IMPORTANT NOTE: The NMA Lab houses all the resources needed to complete the course, should you choose an alternate method of working (such as working own your own computer with the trials) and malfunctions occur, you are expected to use the NMA lab resources to complete your assignments. Students are also able to purchase the software at highly discounted educational rates through the UH bookstore. Before enrolling, if you are not planning to work in the NMA Labs, please check the minimum system requirements necessary for a computer to be able to run the software: http://prodesigntools.com/products/adobe-cs6-system-requirements.html.
