Course Description: SP 181 explores the theories and practical skills to be a competent communicator in person-to-person situations. Topics include perception, verbal and nonverbal communication, emotion, listening, and conflict management. Students work individually, in pairs, and in small groups to expand their knowledge and understanding of the role communication plays in the development and maintenance of interpersonal relationships in personal, social, and professional contexts.

Technical Requirements: Students must have a camera/phone with filming capability and the ability to video record themselves and then upload the video to YouTube or another similar site.
