Course Description: SOC 100 is an introduction to the scientific discipline of sociology. It will focus on key concepts, main theoretical perspectives, and research findings used by sociologists to explain the social world and social interaction. The course examines the fundamental components and institutions that make up the structure of human societies as well as the basic processes and direction of social change.

This SOC 100 class section (CRN 35027) is conducted on the Internet.

Technical Requirements: Students must have access to a computer with Internet connection.

Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course. The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime.
