Course Requirements:
The course is accessible via a desktop or laptop computer with a working web cam, microphone, and high speed internet access. The class requires the use of Laulima (https://laulima.hawaii.edu/portal). Required meetings will be held each Wednesday, from 7:00-9:00pm (HST) through the web conferencing platform, Blackboard Collaborate. A link to access Blackboard Collaborate will be e-mailed to students prior to the first day of class. For additional information about online classes, see www.hawaii.edu/dl. Online course fee $15.
Course Description:
Cross-cultural analysis of the religious narratives, beliefs, practices, iconography, and sacred sites related to female deities in the Americas, Polynesia, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe from prehistory to 1500 C.E. FGA

Books may be purchased at the UH Manoa bookstore or ordered online at http://www.bookstore.hawaii.edu/manoa/home.aspx. If you do not have access to the Internet or unable to travel to the bookstore, you may also order by phone at 1-800-UHBOOKS
Technical Requirements:
The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.

Additional Notes:
Tuition for extension term classes is charged per credit and is NOT included in Fall/Spring semester tuition. Students receiving UH Manoa financial aid should contact Financial Aid Services (808-956-7251 or finaid@hawaii.edu) before registering for extension term classes to assure that their financial aid package will cover these classes.
