Course Requirements: *Students will be contacted by their instructor by UH email before the first day of instruction. Students must check their UH email for course correspondence before the first day of instruction.
Course Prerequisites: ED 290, ED 285, ED 291, and ED 294, or consent of instructor.
ED 296 Intro
Course Description: Field Experience in Education is a culmination of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions learned in the AAT program. Students will engage in observations of, and reflection on, classsroom teachers and their interactions with students. They will also engage in seminar discussion with their peers about their experiences and observations in the classroom. All students will have the opportunity to work with classroom teachers at the elementary, middle, and high school levels to give them a broad range of experience and exposure to K-12 education. Technical Requirements: The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.
