| Course Description: | Study of the physiological mechanisms and effects of aging on the human systems including the cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, neurological, sensory, metabolic, and endocrinological. This course will present the topic of physiology of exercise and aging and will incorporate the research that compares and contrasts ethnic and regional differences in aging factors. Because of the Hawaiian setting of the university, discussion of aging factors of Hawaiians, Asians and Pacific Rim inhabitants is incorporated into the course. |
