Course Prerequisites: Qualified for ENG 100.
Course Description: This course is designed to be an introduction to ethics. As such, participants will consider the nature and evaluation of moral reasoning as well as apply classical ethical theories to such contemporary moral issues as: the moral permissibility of abortion; euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide; the ethics of pornography and censorship; sexual morality and marriage; the ethical treatment of animals; global justice, world hunger and poverty and various issues in environmental ethics.
