|Course Requirements:||Prior to the start of the semester, log into https://laulima.hawaii.edu/portal with your UH username and password to check for announcements from your instructor. Please check your MYUH portal account regularly for announcements about class cancellations, UH system announcements, and/or email.
ACC 150 students are required to use Quickbooks Pro on Windows PC, have a basic familiarity with the Internet and expected to provide their own USB compatible high density electronic storage media of minimum size specified by instructor (generally 128 MB).

|Course Description:||ACC 150 introduces popular entry-level accounting software, QuickBooks Pro®. Students gain expertise in the use of QuickBooks Pro® within the framework of an accounting information system. Accounting, business and computer
knowledge are reinforced through application of this software tool to case studies and team projects. The course content of ACC 150 prepares students for the QuickBooks® Certification Examination.
ACC 150 contributes towards the Certificate of Completion in Payroll Preparer.
This ACC 150 section (CRN 33625) is conducted on the Internet. This class is a 16 week schedule
and it is not self-paced.
|Textbooks:||New textbooks selling at KCC Bookstore is bundled with a 140-day free trial Windows PC based Quickbooks Pro CD. Please do not install software until first week of class.
Books may be purchased at the Kapiolani CC bookstore or ordered online at http://www.bookstore.hawaii.edu/uhkcc/home.aspx. If you do not have access to the Internet or unable to travel to the bookstore, you may also order by phone at 1-800-UHBOOKS

The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.
