A grade of "C" or higher in MKT 120; a grade of "C" or higher in MKT 130 or concurrent enrollment in MKT 130; with consent of instructor.
|Course Description:||MKT 235 focuses on the performance and application of the principles of buying, physical handling, and managing the financial aspects of merchandising. This is a practical course on merchandise plans, customer demand, merchandise sources, evaluation methods, negotiating, reordering, merchandise forecasting and budgeting, and inventory controls. Students learn strategies to effectively compete in a market through the construction and implementation of a merchandising system.|

|Technical Requirements:||This class (CRN 33740) is conducted on the Internet.
The Internet allows students to take a course at home using a personal computer. Familiarity with using a computer and basic Internet skills (browsing, sending e-mail, saving/sending files) is required. Students must have a computer with Internet access. Depending on the online course, students may be required to log in at a specific day and time or at anytime. Students taking an online course should always contact their instructor after registration or prior to the first day of class to get detailed information regarding the course.
