Course Restrictions: Open to UH students located in the following counties: Kauai, Hawaii and Maui
Course Prerequisites: Placement at ENG 100.
Course Description: Integrates natural science concepts basic to the study of human nutrition. Emphasizes nutrient requirements of healthy individuals, nutrient categories and characteristics, physiological functions, and food sources. Includes review and adaptation of dietary practices to reflect current nutritional issues.
