|Course Description:||LAW 111 prepares the student to assist the trial attorney in civil litigation in the Hawai’i State and Federal courts. It emphasizes the concepts and skills required for the legal paraprofessional and outlines the coordination of functions of the lawyer, legal paraprofessional and legal secretary in an integrated approach to litigation.
This LAW 111 Litigation class section (CRN 31083) is conducted through cable television broadcast ('Olelo - Oceanic cable, digital channel 355) and the Internet(Laulima). It is not self-paced; there are regular and specific due dates for online assignments and exercises. Students are required to have access to: (1) cable television; and (2) a reliable computer with high-speed Internet connection. Ability to tape the cable broadcasts for missed sessions and/or later viewing is highly recommended.
