Information technologies have tremendous potential to break down the barriers of place and time that have limited access to to education for people based on where they live or their personal/professional commitments. At the same time, information technologies can be applied to improve the quality of instruction by providing individualized, interactive and self-paced learning opportunities that can enhance a traditional educational experience while also being available at a distance. Within the State of Hawaii there are a wide range of projects using technology to extend access to education for the traditionally underserved and enhancing quality. Join High Tech Hawaii and its guests for a lively discussion of where we've been, what opportunities exist, and where we're headed.

During the live airing of the program, questions may be called in to 956-5670 or 1-800-342-7949 (neighbor islands), or sent by email to hth@hawaii.edu.
