Program Description

The BA Interdisciplinary Studies is a flexible and uniquely student-designed degree (36 major credits) which aligns the students interests, needs, and goals. The emphasis is in "Human Relations in Organizations" and attracts students interested in human and cultural relations and those who desire a basic understanding of organizational theory and practice. This distance program incorporates Mānoa courses taught face-to-face at UH Maui College and on-line classes via Laulima to accommodate students on the neighbor islands. After graduation, students may seek a master's program in fields like Education, Business, Social Work, Law and other areas requiring a bachelor’s degree. In addition, students can further their education by pursuing a certificate in Peace Studies in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Studies major.
