A. Log In requires a myWebCT account which acts much like a folder containing all WebCT courses you will take, using just one ID and password to access them all.

Creating a myWebCT account
1. Go to the main UH WebCT log in site at <http://webct.hawaii.edu>, under the header for "First Time Users", select to "Create myWebCT".

2. Fill out the necessary information, including a WebCT ID and password for your myWebCT account.

NOTE: Try to use something memorable for your name and password, such as your email user name. Both ID and password can be identical and often helps in remembering both in the future.

3. WebCT now prompts you for your newly made ID and password.

4. Now you will need to add a course to your myWebCT account in order to access it. Depending upon how the instructor has the registration set, self registration or non-self registration, you may need an INITIAL ID and password from your instructor (this will be the case if there is NO book icon next to the course title in the Listings area).

Click on Add courses from your myWebCT to locate your campus.

5. Select the campus in which the course is being offered. This will bring up a listing of WebCT courses, on the right, under Courses, click on the "+" sign next to the course title. The screen would look familiar to the following:

NOTE: If your course title has a book icon indicated, then the course is considered to be set for "Self registration" which means no INITIAL ID and password is needed from the instructor, if NO book icon is shown then you will have to have an INTIAL ID and password in order to add the course - contact your instructor.

7. If you were successful in adding the course to your myWebCT account, the next screen prompt informs you that your course has been successfully added, click to either add another course, go to course, or return to your myWebCT Home area.
