What is eCAFE?
eCAFE is the Official University of Hawaii Course And Faculty Evaluation System. eCAFE is an entirely online evaluation system, everything from setting the questions to filling out the evaluations and viewing the results is done online.
There are 5 phases to eCAFE:
|Staff Setup||Tuesday, January 22, 2013 - Thursday, February 21, 2013||An officially authorized user turns on evaluations and sets questions that will appear on all evaluations for courses/instructors under their control.|
|Instructor Setup||Monday, March 4, 2013 - Thursday, April 4, 2013||Instructors turn on/off their personal evaluations and select questions.|
|Evaluation||Monday, April 15, 2013 - Thursday, May 2, 2013||Students submit their completed evaluations.|
|Results||Thursday, May 16, 2013||Evaluation results are available for viewing by instructors, if grades have been entered into Banner.|
|Publish||Monday, June 3, 2013||Published results are released for public viewing.|
How can I use eCAFE?
If your campus, college, division, department, or subject would like to use eCAFE, please contact your campus coordinator to set up an account. If you are an instructor who wants to use eCAFE, log in using your UH username and password during the instructor period (posted above) and enable and edit your surveys. You may also log in at any time to sign up to receive automated setup reminder notices. For more information please visit our FAQ page
