13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| Jung is extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter and tries to make an otherwise boring subject at least somewhat interesting. |
| JUng is a great teacher and funny and knows his information very well... He made me laugh a lot!! |
| Jung is great! He's funny and makes pretty fun powerpoints. He has an overall positive attitude with a relateable sense of humor! |
| Very Knowledgeable in this subject. Gives good advice on how to study, and look at things. |
| He is entertaining and very straightforward. There's no guessing. |
| HE KNOWS THE SUBJECT WELL AND TEACHES IT IN A MANNER WHERE WE ARE ABLE TO
UNDERSTAND IT FOR THE LONG RUN. |
| He encourage students to really understand the concept |
| -very clear in explaining material
-explained and emphasized the important things to prepare us for the exams |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| Why oh why does this class need to be on Friday after lunch?! Terrible time for brains to learn something.
This material is basically a memorize your way to an A type of class. If you are good and memorizing you can get an A. I AM NOT GOOD AT MEMORIZING. I wish that there was another way to show our compentency other than a multiple choice exam. |
| No changes, he teaches well. Very straight forward. |
| NONE, I HONESTLY I LIKE THE PRE QUIZES HE GIVES US. IT DOES STRESS US AS STUDENTS A LITTLE
BUT I THINK ITS GOOD AND HELPS WITH OUR LEARNING. I ALSO LIKE THE POST QUIZES BECAUSE IT
CHALLENGES US ON THE THINGS WE HAVE JUST LEARNED. |
| -none |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| He's approachable and is always there. |
| Gave a lot of advice. |
| Always available. |
| ALWAYS AVAILABLE BEFORE/AFTER AND IN BETWEEN CLASSES.
HE IS WILLING TO ADJUST HIS SCHEDULE TO HELP WITH THE STUDENTS. EX: CHANGE EXAM DATES
AND TIMES TO HELP US OUT. "THANKS" |
| -allowed students to review previous exam to help prepare for the final exam
-answered question promptly |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| MMMmmmm. Yes for the personality. That's his best attribute. I don't know what he could do to make the material stick in my head. Maybe memorization tricks. I dunno. But I like him lots...just don't like the pharm. |
| Yes, he knows his stuff! |
| Yes, very knowledgable and straight forward. |
| KEEP THE WAY YOU TEACH THE CLASS THE SAME. IT FLOWS GOOD. |
| -yes
-cares about students and knows the suject matter is hard, and tries to simplify it as much as he can |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| High five... |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| he knew what he was talking about but was hard to understand the subject. |
| HE knew his subject well. |
| His lecture are well organize. |
| Mr. Kim is extremely knowledgeable of the course material, and he conveys it in a way that is easy
for the class to understand. |
| Professor Kim's major strengths as a teacher is that he make sures that the students know their material. He's prepares ahead of class and make sures he knows what to teach his class. His power point slides along with his lectures helped me! |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| make the slides and information easier to understand since there is so much that is need to be covered in this course. |
| The exams are worth too much, need homework for points. |
| Nothing |
| Sometimes I think Professor Kim relies on the text book too much, like he'd read straight off the power point slides. It'd be great if he would explain some things in his own words to make it easier to understand. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| he did let us know when tests and quizes were going to be. |
| Talk about grades |
| Easy to talk to and respond to e- mail if you have questions |
| Mr. Kim always offers his time after class, and offers tips on how to best study and retain the
difficult course material. |
| He showed concern for students by always asking if we understood the chapter and if we didn't he would try to help us understand the material. He also keeps our grades updated, which is great because it gave us an idea of how we're doing. |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| if you are a student who likes to read the textbook throughly, than yes, take kim. If not, it is hard to understand. |
| Yes, knows hes subject. |
| Yes I would recommend him because his class is so easy if you study well. Guaranty you get
an A |
| Yes, because he is the perfect professor for students who are truly passionate about learning. |
| I think I'd recommend Professor Kim those who wants a challenge because i felt like this class was a bit difficult. It was more like going to the lectures then self-studying at home. I had to keep re-reading the material and using wileyplus to better understand the material. |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| He is a nice teacher but i wish he could explain the information clearer. |
| N/A |
| Keep up the good work! |
| I will truly miss Mr. Kim's lectures. |
| Though this class was kinda difficult, i really enjoyed it because Professor Kim made class less boring =) Sometimes he would make up some scenarios or tell us stories to help us understand the material better! |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| Jung really know's his stuff. Very good lecturer. I enjoy his class. |
| Jung is extremely enthusiastic about the material, and tends to offer some real-world experience to expand on whatever the current subject is. |
| KNOWS THE SUBJECT WELL |
| He really knows his stuff! Jung has a great sense of humour and lets us make our jokes as well. He seems really tollerant and amused by our shanangans. |
| Great professor!! |
| very knowledgable, straight forward powerpoints. |
| very fun teacher |
| really knowledgeable, makes us critically think. |
| He loves what he teaches and really has a passion for teaching what he knows a lot about. |
| He is patient with the students even when we gave him a hard time in class. He also dumbed-down alot of the Egan's readings so that we could understand it. |
| He's a really good teacher..His class is hard though!!! I wish his power points were a little easier to follow....... Great sense of humor though and easily approachable.... |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| I dont like the fact that we have to take quizzes that lowers our grade before we get the clarifying lecture. I dont understand what the book says, I learn better from the lecture. |
| Give us more a better idea of what you want for the bigger projects earlier. I wasn't sure what he wanted on the paper or presentation until the last minute. |
| WHY WHY WHY are we getting quized before the material can be presented?! WHY WHY WHY?! It makes no sense to anyone.
Also... I didn't know the grading criteria for the presentations. Maybe if we were given a layout or check list. |
| NONE he does a great job! |
| quizzes after lecture instead of before. |
| Go into more depth of explaining the powerpoint and not just read off of it. |
| No changes, they way he teaches, i believe is good. |
| More visual aids, like actually seeing the equipment and being able see it work, even if it's just youtube clips. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| He spoke to us with concern when needed. |
| Jung was always flexible for us. He pushed back our case study to make sure we had enough time to complete it. |
| GIVES US POST QUIZ, VERY HELPFUL |
| He left his door open. I saw him talking to other students and know that he helped them a lot. |
| He is fair and always assess able to his students. |
| always available, relectures on unclarified topics. |
| He emailed us if anything came up. Always willing to answer questions. Able to repeat a section of a
lecture. |
| He was always willing to stay a little later in class to answer our questions and his office door was always open. He was even in his office when it wasn't office hours and would stop to say hi to us which showed he liked us. |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| Of course I would. He's a great teacher and very understanding. |
| I would. He has experience in the field, and is especially experienced with lab tasks in respiratory care. |
| YES, GOOD INSTRUCTOR |
| Yes...I think he has a really cool personality...which is a bonus. |
| Great Professor. Really smart! Makes the material easy to comprehend! |
| yes, excellent teacher. |
| yes, because you learn a lot from him. i know i did. I know i have been recommending my friends
to take his 141 or 142 classes too. |
| I would because he explains well and really has a good understanding of the subject he teaches. |
| Yes he's a good instructor but it's not a cruise class and you really have to work for your grade. |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| I love the enthusiasm. |
| FUNNY GUY |
| Great job! Really enjoy you and your class. |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| Making class material easy and fun to understand. Good at assesing material given on test |
| He is well knowledgable about this subject area and I feel like he really does care about his
students. I have had some teachers where they are only teaching because they have nothing
else to do but Dr. Kim teaches because he loves to and that really does make a big difference
in the effort I put in as a student. |
| Professor Kim knows his subject really well and presents his material in a way that is helpful and
easy to understand. |
| He was always on time and never canceled class. |
| Professor Kim has many strengths as a teacher. He is very knowledgable in the subject matter. Although the course covers a lot of material he is specific to what needs to be learned. Professor Kim also comes up with easy and fun ways to help his students remember the material. He also is easily approachable and will answer any questions a student may have. |
| his availability, how hes always on time, and how hes somewhat funny whenever
hes teaching |
| The topics was well organized and easy to understand. |
| Knew his stuff, good with examples |
| He made learning fun. He was easy to like and connect with |
| He knows his topic and presents it in a clear way also during lecture he gives examples and tactics
to remember things. |
| Enthusiastic, makes learning fun. Especially since the human anatomy is so difficult |
| Jung Eun Kim's strength as a teacher would have to be the way he keeps all his students up in class. What I mean is that he makes class enojoyable and this helps me learn the subject even better. |
| He knew the subject well, you can tell he has experience teaching. Kim's teaching methods made
learning material easy to follow, and understand. He is also very enthusiatic when he teaches, so
paying attention is easy. |
| Material is presented clearly.
He is up-to-date with how to post assignments and lectures online. This is extremely helpful.
He is reasonable and understanding.
He rewards those who come to every class, however if you are a busy person, you're grade is based
on if you know the material. That's how it should be.
He is really good at making lectures that highlight the really important things you need to take from
the text.
This class is not a guessing game. He is clear about when things are due and what you need to
know.
Great sense of humor. |
| His knowledge of the subject. A&P is not the easiest subject to grasp, but I felt that Mr. Kim did everything he could to make sure that we understood. There are some teachers that seem like they either don't know what they're doing or just go through the motions of teaching. Mr. Kim's knowledge and willingness to help everyone is a big reason why I did fairly better than I expected myself to do. |
| Good examples, super funny, loud voice, easy to talk to. |
| He is very understanding as a teacher. |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| None |
| None. |
| None. |
| To actually teach the material, not just have a powerpoint and read off of it. The power points were helpful in pointing out what the test might ask but reading from a screen the whole class time does not necessarily teach students. |
| No changes. |
| none |
| Keep up the good work. |
| If i had to choose something to improve on it would be the timing of chapter outlines. I felt like the
chapter outlines could have been sent out a few days earlier before class. It would give us a little
more time to study and read before we go over everything in class. But that is pretty minor, his class
was great. |
| none. |
| N/a |
| I think he needs to make the students interact and get more involved. I'm the type of person that learns better when involved in the process. Granted he did try (and it didn't go so well), but just force students to maybe get into groups to discuss the topic at hand. I don't think he needs to do this all the time, but just every so often to change it up and not just have the students sit and listen to lecture. |
| no need |
| To make a study guide of the questions prior to the exam. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| He asked questions and how we were doing that day. |
| For me personally, if I didn't do my best on an exam I would go into his office and we would
review the answers I got wrong and if I didn't understand why I got it wrong he would sit there
and explain it to me until I did. |
| He was always available to get in contact with, plus grades were always posted throughout the
semester. |
| He made sure to always be on time, also by being lenient and easy going to students who may have forgotten to complete a quiz. |
| By always asking if students had any questions and having office hours where students could learn what they did wrong on exams and why. Professor Kim was always available to answer any questions I may have had about course material. |
| by telling us his office hours and allowing us to email him if there were any
concerns on his exams or anything else |
| Respond for our e-mail if I have question that I forget to ask during class. |
| He always made sure that everyone understood the subject. Also, he made himself available to
review test scores and talk about the subject outside of class. |
| Talked to us, good lectures, available during office hours |
| He showed concern for his students by telling us that we are welcomed to see him in his office when we have a question and he would be glad to sit there and explain it to us. This showed a lot of concern because it showed that he was a teacher willing to help us instead of making us figure it out on our own and doing bad on the tests. He also congratulates us as a class after each test we take and that shows me that he cares how his students are doing throughout the whole semester with him. And by doing this is encourages me, as a student, to try my hardest for him to show him that all his teaching has payed off and that it was not a waste of his time. |
| I didn't feel like just one of the countless number of students of his. He knew us all by name, and
when I asked for a meeting, he would make one asap. |
| Reasonable office hours.
Responds to emails.
Approachable. |
| After taking role, Mr. Kim always asked how we were doing both in and out of class. There were some people who shared their personal lives and kind of made it into a brief therapy session, but it was nice to see that Mr. Kim cared about our well-being. |
| gave extra credit |
| He was available outside of class. |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| Yes because I like his class and passed it. |
| Yes of course!! He is a really good teacher, fair but not easy. You really do have to work and
put in effort to pass his class with a good grade. You can't just guess on the quizzes and
exams you have to study. |
| Yes I would highly recommend Professor Kim to other students because his materials are easy to
understand and in his lectures he goes through everything that his materials pertain to. |
| No only because I believe that he does not teach, he just reads. I would have been able to read the book and power points and still learn the amount even if I did not attend the lectures. |
| Yes. Professor Kim is a great teacher. You will learn a lot from his class and have a better understanding of A&P. |
| yes i would because hes a very good teacher and hes nice to everyone, treats
everyone fairly. |
| Yes, because he's a good instructor. |
| Yes, i will also be taking his Zool 142. His accent took a class or 2 to get use to, then it was no
problem. I would read before class and it would never fully make sense, but after he would explain
the chapter in class is was always very clear. He was good at picking out the parts of text that were
difficult and making it easy to understand. |
| Yes, He's a great Zool 141 teacher! Makes learning interesting |
| I would recommend him and as I have mentioned in my lab review I had recommended him to my friends because I know that if they take him they will be able to have a fantastic understanding of the topic being learned. |
| Yes, for the reasons such as his well developed teaching methods, his easy to follow learning
material, and his enthusiasm while teaching. |
| YES:) |
| Yes. You will learn. This class is not particularly interesting. Lectures can be very boring. But in the
end you learn a ton, and get the grade you deserve. Everything is clearly outlined in the syllabus and
online so there is no guessing. The textbook resources available are great for this class too. |
| I would definitely recommend Mr. Kim. He's very straight forward on what to expect in class and gives you everything you need in order to pass. He does care about his students and wants them to succeed. It took Mr. Kim to make me realize that the more time you put into something, the more likely you are to learn about it. |
| yes, it was a great class |
| Yes, because he knows what he's talking about and is organized. |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| Good. |
| This is my second time having professor Kim as my teacher for the same subject and he has
improved a lot. Even though I thought that his class was great the first time I took it he
changed some of the notes and has improved. He really is a good teacher and I'm glad that
he still teaches. |
| I really enjoyed his class and I know that this subject can be very difficult and requires a lot of
studying and it can all be overwhelming, but I felt that in his class I was able to grasp the material
and was able to keep up with all of my studies. |
| I believe that Kim has a good heart but he needs to teach rather than read, many of his lectures I would just sit and fill in blanks on the power point and after leaving his class still be confused on some course material. Kim did not make the class fun and exciting which would have helped to obtain a better grade. |
| I also liked how exams were taken online and were able to take them during the test day at any time that we felt ready. He also gave adequate time to take the exams. |
| The only thing is he is kind of hard to understand because he does have a heavy accent. |
| Thank you! |
| Thank you for all your help Mr. Kim. Remember that you are a great teacher and your students appreciate your knowledge. |
| AWESOME teacher:) |
| Funny. |
| Overall, Mr. Kim is a great teacher. Again, he knows his stuff so he's not some sloutch. |
| thanks |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| Knew the material. |
| He was very knowledgeable about the subject he was teaching. |
| his humor whenever he teaches, as well as his availability for his students
when they need help |
| He was very punctual for every class and managed to be very straight to the point with what we were
learning. |
| He knows his subject, so when we would ask for help, he was able to help us and explain it in a way that was easy to understand. He's also entertaining, which is great when taking a science course. |
| AS a teacher, Jung Eun Kim has many strengths but there was one particular strength that has helped me a lot throughout this course. His main strength would have to be his overall knowledge about the course becuase wihtout it I would be extrememly lost but another strength that gets me through this course is his teaching technique. I am not sure if he notices it but the way he teaches the course encourages me to want to come to class to see what we are going to learn next and how he is going to demonstrate the topic. |
| Make students relax & comfortable during lab |
| Humor and Personality
Professional yet approachable demeanor
Competent in course material |
| Professor Kim has many strengths as a teacher. He explains the material well and why we are performing experiments/labs. Professor Kim also comes up with easy ways to help his students remember the material and makes learning fun and interesting. Professor Kim also graded tests and assignments promptly. |
| He is a really funny guy and his humor makes you pay attention to what he is saying. He always
answers the students questions and he gives back assignments very quickly so the students can
study the material for upcoming exams. |
| clear knowledge of the subject material and he has fun ways to remember things. His friendly,
joking manner made the dissection quizzes stress free and fun. |
| Not a strict teacher, but also encourgaes you to study hard. |
| Funny, fun, nice, and encouraging towards learning |
| he gave assignments to prepare students for procedures and experiments. |
| He knew his stuff, good with examples |
| He made sure to monitor learning as the class session was in progress. |
| Very prompt and professional in ensuring administrative duties were met. |
| The well organized outline of when and what the lecture would be on and when a test and quiz would be put up. |
| He is very knowledgeable with the subject. Never changed his syllabus schedule. |
| Mr. Kim treated his students fairly and he is approachable to the students. |
| He is fully aware of the subject whenever we ask him questions. |
| He has a lot of knowledge on the subject and was open to helping anyone in class. |
| Very funny
Clear voice
Used body movements to demonstrate examples
powerpoint notes |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| Less slides for the tests. |
| Making the things needed to study more clear. The list to study for exams feels a bit plain and sometimes i feel lost on what i should study. |
| none |
| None that I can think of at the moment! |
| none |
| There is no changes that need to be made. |
| No changes needed. |
| No changes |
| Nothing. |
| None |
| I would like more guidance in what to study for on the exams. Some of the exams were extremely hard with a lot of material to study, and most of the material was not on the exam. A study guide would be nice. |
| There's always lots of time leftover. If we spent more time doing an overview
of the lab procedure we'd get more out of it. For example, I still don't know
what I'm supposed to take away by the fact that increasing the amplitude of a
charge sent to a muscle increases the standard deviation between reactions. |
| To not read from a powerpoint, but to actually teach and give real life examples about the material. If i did not have the book to teach me I would have no idea on anatomy. |
| More lectures for understanding instead of just digging right through the models. Background
would be helpful or the whys. |
| None. |
| Sometimes I couldn't really understand some things he was saying because of his accent. But other
students were able to understand so they would let me know what I didn't. It didn't interact with my
learning though. |
| Nothing. Lab was pretty much read the instructions and follow them and he would be there for any assistance. |
| none |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| Allowed for extra credit for coming to every class, encouraged students to try harder on the in class
quizzes. |
| He would ask anyone if there are any questions and go to them on a one to one basis. |
| by allowing them to come in and see how they did on their tests and which
answers were correct. he also was very open and easy to talk to whenever i
needed help. |
| His instructions were crystal clear and made an attempt to make sure that we were to be prepared
before every class. He wanted us to succeed in his class and encouraged us to study at the lab
whenever we could. |
| He explained the material well and made things easy to understand. |
| Jung Eun Kim showed concern by always going around the class and asking if we had any questions and by doing this it showed that if we were unclear about something we would be able to go to him for it. Also, another way he shows concern is by being alert. What I mean is that when we are doing a lab in our group he would sit in the front and whenever our group was confused we would look for him and he would sometimes be coming to our table to help us. I thought this was cool because it showed me that he was not just a teacher who sat in the front and did not care...no he was a teacher that would help us before we could even ask him. (one step ahead of us!) |
| Professor Kim shows concern for students by answering any questions students have in class and having regular office hours available for students to ask questions. |
| He walks around class during lab and goes to each table making sure every one knows what they are
doing and is there to answer any questions if they have any. |
| clearly answer questions and sent emails reminding us when a quiz was available on laulima |
| He would send us email if we need something like if theres experiments or a test. |
| Made the class enjoyable |
| He allowed for make ups of labs. |
| By always being at class on time and never canceling classes. |
| He answers the questions and will meet . |
| By giving us the right tools for our class and he has been suggesting what, where and how to study on particular exam. |
| He let us know when the next exams and quizzes were. He also answered all of the questions we
had. |
| He would make his rounds to visit all the groups to check if we had questions or needed help. |
| created powerpoint notes and study guides |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| Yes because the class is fairly structured and all the information for tests were given. |
| Yes because he is a excellent instructor and knows the material well. |
| i would because hes a very nice teacher and entertaining. he really tries to
make learning interesting |
| Yes, I would. Though I was skeptical at first regarding opinions of him from other students before
actually taking the class, he didn't seem harsh as they made him out to be. |
| YES. Because he is a great teacher, and he's funny. He made learning zoology interesting. |
| I would definately recommend Jung Eun Kim to other students because he has helped me a lot throughout this semester and i really appreciate it. He also knows how to keep his students up and alive during class. To tell you the truth, I have already recommended him to some of my friends who have signed up for his class for next semester. |
| Yes, he is an excellent mentor |
| Yes. He is a great teacher who really wants students to learn to material. He teaches in a concise way that is easy to understand. |
| Yes I would. He cares for his students and if you need help he will gladly provide it. |
| yes |
| Yes, he a very easy teacher and you will learn something if you put your time on it. |
| Yes, really enjoyable and fun to learn under him. |
| I would like to see more than one teacher that teaches lab in the evening. If Mr. Kim's teaching style is not conducive to your learning style it is hard to progress. |
| No only because I did not find his teaching to help students, he did give a clear outline on what needed to be learned, but did not teach the material well. |
| Yes he is a knowledgable teacher. His accent is a little hard to understand but you'll get used
to it. |
| Yes..Because he knows what his doing. |
| Yes I would because he's an exciting teacher. He's not boring and he shows concern for his
students. |
| Yes I would. Mr. Kim is very helpful and a fair teacher. |
| yes, very fun class |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| N/A |
| i enjoyed his class |
| He was one of the best teachers I had this semester, I only wish I did better. |
| I wish he was teaching ZOOL 142 Lab. |
| Thank you Mr. Kim for everything you have done. I really appreciate your teaching skills and the atmosphere you set in the classroom. If it was not for you I would be in another class all confused. |
| I enjoyed Professor Kim's class and his teaching style. I definitely would recommend this teacher. |
| You are too cool |
| He's cool =] |
| I never really understood the lectures, I basically had to learn by the book. |
| Thank you. |
| thank you |

| Keep up the fantastic teaching! Thank you! |
| This is not a comment about the teacher but about the class facilities. There were not enough
anatomical models and many of the models are incomplete or the reference markings have rubbed
off over time. The shortage and quality of the models made studying the anatomical models outside
of class very difficult. The online resources are very helpful but there were no models of the eye
online and I was unable to review the large anatomical model of the eye outside of class (there is
only one model). |
| To be in his class you would need to self teach |
| none. |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| He knows very well about his subjects and explains very well to teach us. |
| he knows what he is talking about |
| He's very knowledgeable. If he doesn't already know the answer to a question he will find it for his
students. |
| Interacting with the students, and keeping earch subject interesting. |
| Very organized |
| He is good at explaining concepts and things about the human body. |
| His humor and his ability to convey technical information in a easily

| Sense of humor |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| He is over all really good teacher. |
| none |
| N/A |
| focus more on explaining more of the material rather than reading straight
from the powerpoints. &more detailed study guides. |
| Maybe put up the powerpoints a little bit earlier, but that might be kind of hard since he said he had to create them all since it was his first time teaching 142. |
| None |
| make questions less vague. Several answers could be possibly right. I think it was supposed to be which answer was the best choice but it wasn't set up that way. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| mentioned his office hours often |
| Allowing excuse absences for ligament excuses. |
| He teaches in a way that makes it kind of funny sometimes, but sometimes it's hard to understand him. Professor also comes to class everyday on time, even though he said he has a class before this one so that kind of shows his concern for students. |
| He was available for all office hours, never late for class and flexible in
providing additional information to the students. |
| addressed questions promptly, was accessible |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| He knows very well about his subject for teaching and explains well. |
| yah hes a good teacher. |
| Yes i would. |
| No because he is kind of hard to understand unless you are willing to read
the book to learn for yourself. |
| Yes, if they can understand his accent then he is an awesome professor. |
| Yes. |
| yes since he is constantly trying to improve the course |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| He makes us feel comfortable and sometimes make us laugh. |
| Sometimes he words the quiz and test questions kind of confusing but it kind of doesn't help that the subject material is kind of overwhelming too. |
|
|
18. Other comments:
|
| He is a good teacher with nice personality and good teaching. |
| I liked this class, but probably will have to take ZOOL-142 again because he just had test and quizzes, which are my weaknesses. But I liked this class, it was very interesting even though there is so much stuff to memorize and not get confused. |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| he gave great examples of the texts in real life setting as he is also an RT this made the data more relatable and interesting for me as a student. He also helped create a very safe environment for learning as he created jokes while lecturing and kept us attentive even when it was some times hard to understand his accent. I really enjoyed having a teacher that could make us laugh while we learned. |
| I've never had a professor like Jung before. He went out of his way in helping be obtain a book when my order didnt come thru at the time. He is a very smart man and knows his material. I can't wait to be in his class setting again. He asks you questions to make you think and understand the material even more. Jung also does visual aides, and I'm all about the visual aides, in order for you to understand concepts and laws. |
| He really knew the material well! Great teacher with a good sense of humor! |
| I enjoyed Professor Kim , he has a good sense of humor. He is very approachable and easy to talk to
I look forward to many more classes with him .
I also liked that he works in the profession that he teaches. He can share with his students real life
examples of what he experiences as an RT. |
| He is a true professional, a good teacher who knows how to mix text book content with humor. His style of teaching allows us to gain a better understanding of the material. |
| will you please go over the power points before the quizes.... otherwise, great class, funny professor.... |
| he has a strong background on the subject, very knowledgeable. |
| He knows his material well. Very friendly and funny. |
| He knows the subject hes teaches and prepares us for what we are going to be doing for the rest of our lives..... |
| Jung made class very fun. He taught class in an intersting aspect which made learning more enjoyable |
| He is a very good teacher and his powerpoints helps a lot |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| if time permitted it would be nice to see more of the tools that we will be using and explore the safety systems and breathing apparatuses more. |
| none. |
| Have a lecture before the quiz, not after. It was difficult to self teach this material..only to find out after the quiz why I was confused. |
| email powerpoints sooner, before quizzes and exams. |
| That his A would be from 91-100. Since its a 92-100 I got a B :( because I had a 91.2!!! hahaha. |
| no changes. |
| none, great instructor |
| No changes. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| he allowed us to ask questions even when some of the questions may have been a litte off the subject of the lecture but still pertained to respiratory care. |
| He answered emails right away when I was stuck. Jung brought a book to my second job so that I wouldn't be behind in the class material. What teacher does that? No one takes time out of their busy schedules anymore but to do the bare minimum. |
| He seems to acknowledge the students' fears and anxieties, offering suggestions to help. |
| He made himself available by phone and office hours for any questions or concerns. |
| By ensuring that the students understood the material that he was teaching. |
| he made sure that we studied, and that we understood the lessons we were taught. |
| Asked if we have any questions. Asked if we understood. |
| always available to answer questions. |
| He was always available outside of class for help (email) and encouraged students to seek out for help if needed. |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| Yes. He is enjoyable to watch teach and has jokes to lighten the mood. |
| heck yes, I would recommend Jung to other students. He is a fun teacher that you actually want to listen to. Not just sit there in class because you need the class participation points. |
| Yes. If you are a self motivated, self learner...then yes. |
| Yes ! Without any doubt! |
| Yes I would definately recommend Jung to other students, he has a firm grasp of the material and is very personable. |
| yes, he teaches well, and very funny as well. cannot go wrong with an instructor like that. |

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
|
| Very knowledgeable in teaching the subject. Gives clear and precise examples to the subject to gives students clarity in studying the models and lab experiment. |
| Gave some one on one time with students. Very easy going. If you need help he's willing to help you. |
| This professor teaches the class so that it is interesting. Like for example he makes things into other things, like AFO is the 3 muscles-- Abductor, Flexor, Opponens muscles that move the thumb instead of UFO. |
| He is very approachable, he knows what he is talking about, and demonstrates the experiments very clearly |
| Enthusiastic about the subject matter and relates to students well. |
|
|
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
|
| Remind the class about any homework assignments. |
| Sometimes his accent is hard to understand when he says certain words, but I don't know if he can change this. But it's better than some other teachers, just sometimes it's hard. |
| During our tests you have us at stations and when we are done with that station we wait till another station we havent done is open. What commonly happens in this method, is a lot people sitting a waiting around for just one or two stations. I have waiting over 15min for one station because other people have cut in front of me. Maybe think of a more structured so that everyone has an equal amount of time at each station and dont have to worry about other people cutting in line. |
| update the numbering on the anatomical models. most of the models were very worn down and the numbers were smudged. |
|
|
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
|
| He always goes around the class and see if students need help in identifying the structures of the models. He always goes over the models at the end of class to clear the confusions on where things are; by Mr Kim doing an overview on the structures of the models really help me because I would go over the models with my classmate and the structures that my lab partner and I couldn't find Mr Kim would clarify them. |
| When studying the models he is very helpful because the numbers on the models are wipe out or the numberings are not there, Mr. Kim is always there to help. |
| He turned our work back in promptly and helped when we couldn't find something on the model. |
| My lab partner had problems in the class. She was having a hard time with the exams. Mr. Kim sat her down and talked about her options. Letting her know what grades she has to get on her remaining exams for her to pass the class and different strategies she could use for studying. |
| Took attendance frequently and got to know each student by name and learning style. |
|
|
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
|
| Yes I would because he shows a lot of concerns in the students success in the class. He grades fairly, he doesn't round up the scores which I like because it shows that the student would work hard for their grade rather then just relying on rounding grades. Without rounding grades it makes a student feel better of themselves because they know for a fact that they earned every point of their grade. |
| I would recommend him to other students because this is a very easy course (if you took it during the summer). sometimes you have to go study the models on your own but its a breeze. |
| Yes, because he is a good teacher who makes the class interesting and shares interesting random facts that help with memorization of the things that we are learning. So even though his accent is hard to understand sometimes, he is pretty good to take a class with him teaching it. |
| Yes. He is well organized, approachable and humorous. He is helpful in class, and conducts a fair exam. |
| YES! fair grading and taught exceptionally well. |
|
|
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
|
| very like-able teacher |
| I would like to thank him for being an awesome teacher! He is also funny in class. |
| Mr. Kim is a very good lab instructor. He clearly demonstrates the experiments before we do them, is very patient and takes time to point out all the locations that we are required to know on the poorly labeled models. His exams are tough but fair and he gets us our grades promptly. Even though his accent is strong he speaks clearly. He is also very humorous is the classroom. |
| awesome professor! i wish i took the lecture through him |
