I liked when he would bring in the tools for us to see what they look like to get a hands on experience.

the studies of trying to protect motherland.

the fact that wildland firefighting was a passion to him and how it can affect the enviroment around us.

was a fun class, learned a lot about what will be expected if i go to a wild land fire.

The Class was very interesting. many stories explaining how things can go wrong and what to watch for to make sure they dont.

Straight forward, Very engaging and relevent to everyday life.

Jack explaned everything the class needed to know very well and by doing so i did good on test and assignments.

Liked how the instructor was so knowledgeable of the topic and made class enjoyable.

Lessons's are very thorough.

I enjoyed the information being presented. How the environment plays a vital role in determining how a fire behaves is interesting to me.

-Liked all the visuals and videos in combination with the work books. -Jack is very knowledgeable and he also has some great stories and examples of real life experiences he has had in relation to the material we cover. -Liked the fire shelter drill and getting to actually practice that in the time-limit was fun. Also liked when Jack would bring in the tools and equipment we were studying so we had visuals

Jack is a very good instructor. His background in Wildland Firefighter really show throughout the semester. The mid-term and final exam was well planned and it pretained the most beneficial terms we would need to carry with us. Very effective teaching because he got straight to the point and made the material easy to understand.

I liked that we didn't have homework

Its very informative and understandable.

Mr. Minassian has very good intentions and you can tell he is passionate about the subject and having students learn the material. However I believe the class could be far more effective with hands on instruction.

Being that he is a former firefighter, he can touch more on the details for any of the lessons.

I would focus more attention on further practical exercises such as minor, real world simulations of what we learn, in a controlled environment.

Jacks class is really great. There is not much improvement needed for this class. Maybe a little shorter, haha. Other than that its to long, there is not many change needed.

good, i liked the videos.

I think the teacher knows his stuff and has a wide variety of resources and techniques to "get the message across" so to speak. With his background and extensive knowledge of the subject, I can think of no one more qualified to teach this course.

Jacks teaching method is down right amazing. He makes the lesson excited because he add stories. When he is teaching difficult that is hard to understand, he will add a story that will surely make more sense. Jacks teaching method is amazing because he repeat the lesson many times. Jacks teaching method is astonishing because he makes us visualize a situation that is applying to the lesson he is teaching and how we can apply it.

His teaching methods are awesome. He knows the material and subject very well.

yes, i learned a lot about fire fighting.

Absolutely.

Jack has motivated me to pursue such career. When I first started the fire class course, I was really motivated. I was just one of those young kid who just took the class BECAUSE. But Jack has really inspired me, the way he teaches you can see so much passion. And Jack, sorry if sometimes we dont seem like were paying attention. But to tell you the honest truth, we are leaning so much. I cant believe ever, that I will be looking at the sky checking if its stable or unstable. Me and my friend talk about the cloud name. How a fire is deeply affected by the win. How long it take for the fire to burn 1 hour fuel, etc. I will surely take this skill to succeed in my future career.

Yes. i learn alot in class,and everything i learn in class will definately help me out in the future.

Hey Jack, keep up the teaching. You truly have motivated me, your stories are mind blowing. The way you make it sound so adventurous makes me more excited to accomplish this fireman journey. You are a great FIREman, because you have light up the FIRE in me. Your teaching method is amazing, because all you want us to do is pay attention, take notes. Thats all and I dont understand why some people find that hard. Jack, the way you teach and how you apply such lesson. I know that one day, your going to save our lives. everything was all good

I would probably do more hands on activities. Fire fighting is about getting down and dirty. Why not let the students experience it to get a better understanding of what they're getting themselves into. It would be more interesting.

Nothing. The Instructor knew the material he was teaching and answered any questions the students had. We also had the oppurtunity to go to an actual Fire Station and talk with the Firefighters.

I very much enjoyed listening to Jack's lectures. His extensive knowledge brought from experience, provided with the course objectives, gives the listener a real clear picture of what to expect in the world of FIRE.

Very straight forward. Explained everything clearly and so we could absorb the information very well.

Good. He used powerpoints to help cover main points in the text. Also used videos and pictures when needed.

I would involve more hands on activities or maybe even a trip to one of our wildfire stations to get a first hand look about what wildland fire control is about.

Nothing. Everything the teacher taught was all important to know when on the job, especially if students are going to do the temporary job program during the upcoming summer.

Very straight forward. Enables us to absorb info very well also probably because of his past experience did he teach so well.

I really enjoyed listening to Jack's lectures. His extensive knowledge brought from experience, provided with the course objectives, gives the listener a real clear picture of what to expect in the world of FIRE.

Yes. Because he was part of wildland firefighting he gave us a good picture about what it is they have to offer.

Yes. I learned a lot about Firefighting throughout the semester that was important to know if I was on the job.

Nothing. ICS is meant to be complicated. I am not suprised that a lot of info was needed to be learned in a short amount of time.

Nothing. Whatever the instructor did to help us learn the information was good because this was a complex course.

More hands on!!! The excercises that we did as groups with scenarios & cards were most helpful. They taught us to work cohesively and encouraged critical thinking. Those excercises were also lots of fun. This class was tougher for me than the 101. I plan to use ICS in my life & work as it fits ALL instances..

Explained well so we could understand the concept. Helped when needed. Good overall technique.

Good. We had a lot of group activities which really helped us learn about ICS. He also used powerpoints, videos, and pictures.

Mr. Minassian was well prepared and innovative in his teaching methods.

everything was all good

Yes. I now understand ICS is used worldwide and it promotes incidents to be dealt with in a time efficient matter and effectively at that.

Yes. This course, like the instructor said in the beginning of the year, was just like learning a new languadge so he repeatedly went over important information throughout the semester.

I enjoyed the course material & the challenge. Mr. Minassian has been encouraging, energetic and the class was enjoyable.
