13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Her organized power points, and ability to answer questions clearly when asked.
she is nice and friendly.
She knows the lectures very well.
She was always willing to help and elaborate more on subjects during office hours. She is very intelligent and wants the student to understand the entire concept as well.
very knowledgable of the material, presents it in a broken down easy to understand way. especially for a subject as complex as chemistry- this was great of marci
Amii has well organized lectures.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
None
try to make the class more organized and clear.
She may thinks of any other ways to present her lectures instead of PPT every time.
The exams were kind of lengthy and time consuming. May you review before exams?
nothing really!
Make tests that students can actually pass and are reasonably completable within the given timeframe. Just because the teacher can complete the test in the given time with proficiency doesn't mean the students can. One of the tests was handed back and when most of us failed she told us that most of the students fail every semester. Either teach more to the test, assign homework that is more reasonable to the test (so we can prepare) or give tests that properly reflect the homework and lecture. The tests were full of curve balls and exceptions. It seemed unreasonable and unachievable. There were multiple good students in the class that nearly failed; having given alot of effort. The lecture material and process was a good environment, but it felt impossible to succeed so sometimes there didn't even seem to be a point in trying. I have given out half as much effort on hard classes like zoology and calculus and gotten way better grades. Because it seemed hopeless the learning environment positivity decreased.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
she will answer any students questiono after class.
She willings to offer helps to the students, and always concern we understand her lectures or not.
She was available during office hours and is extremely well at explaining further details.
very accessible to students outside of class if they need help or need extra notes or even to get notes they've missed.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Definitely
i don't know, because i think she is nice teacher, but her class is a litte bit hard to understand.
Yes, because she helps students to achieve more.
Yes, she is a great professor. The student should know how to work individually and study everyday.
YES!!! she's a wonderful professor, very understanding and doesn't try to fail students. genuinely wants to help students get the best grade possible and so helps them with anything they might need
She lectures AMAZINGLY. Because she tests strangely and unpredictably I would not recommend her.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Even though the content is hard, Amii makes it easy to understand.
no
She is a very good teacher even though she usually cool face.
She's kind and pretty.
one of the best professors at KCC!! loved the class
Thank you for actually taking the time to show us how to use our calculators on special features etc in the beginning of the semester.
18. Other comments:
no
I enjoy her class.
I was encouraged to stay in the class after the drop date because the class was supposed to be substantially easier. It wasn't. I wish she was more honest. I don't think it is a matter of perception because we ALL felt like it was harder.
