13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He always nice to students.
He showed much concern for his students, that they would not fail but succeed.
He has a lot of knowledge and very helpful.
Knows the knowledge of Geology. Explaining the topic clearly with pictures on the slideshows for presentation. Able to go on a little field trip to explain the life of how geology got started in Hawaii and also around the world too. Having labs by looking and testing out rock, stones, and more. A lot of hands on activities.
He is compassionate, caring, and competent teacher. He communicates with us often in class and via Laulima. I was never lost or confused. He made this class a fun learning environment.
He is incredibly knowledgeable in his area of expertise and you can tell he enjoys what he does. He is easy going but isn't a pushover kind of teacher. Great class and interesting.
He always encourages us. His class is fun and has a good atmosphere to study. He has a lot knowledge of geology of Hawaii.
I was actually able to touch the stone and the mineral by 101L in relation to the lesson by 103. Moreover, I have felt the geographical feature and the geology of Hawaii on the field trip. They helped my understanding very much. Geology was related daily and was more interesting than my anticipation.
He encourages student participation.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
He is really nice!
I would encourage him clean up his power points, and only use the ones that are necessary and get ride of the rest. Because him trying to find a powerpoint sometimes took up time in the class.
nothing, because he is a perfect teacher!
I think he should post our grades online so we know what grade we are getting.
none
no changes. Great teacher.
It was always extremely cold in the classroom.
Post grades online, be just a little more organized.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He always help students.
Oh my. One of the ways he showed concern, was providing food for his students. Because food is a source of energy and helps students to stay focused. So I enjoyed that he cared that we were not hungry and would always provide snacks for us. Besides that he would always ask if we had any questions throughout his lecture, to make sure the students understood the material.
He made many PowerPoint files and sometimes it was so fanny and cute!
He shows that he care about his students by helping you if you have any question or concern.
He let us make us work missed when I was out sick and came back with doctors note.
He is sympathetic that each person has individual lives outside of school that do sometimes get in the way. He answers everyone's questions when asked. He makes students feel comfortable and not embarrassed in class.
The professor used much print and PowerPoint. Therefore, also for the foreign student, the lesson of a catch-up was completed. Moreover, the quiz on web helped my understanding.
He encouraged student participation...encouraged us to take advantage of extra credit, and reminded us of upcoming assignments.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes.
Yes, I would recommend Professor Gazdar to other students, he is a very enjoyable professor to be around. He makes learning simple and fun.
YES!!! I will Strong recommend end him, because his class is very interesting and he is very sweet.
I would recommend taking this class because this is very interesting class and it makes you want to learn more because there is a lot of great information that I didnt know about especially the Hawaiian Islands we should all know since we live here. Also I learn something new every day.
YES! I learned so much from him. I am now very interested in learning more about my island.
Yes. For all the reasons above.
I did not know about geology in English, but he explained to us easily.
yes. The professor has very kind and wide knowledge. I recommend his lesson to the friend who is interested in the geology of Hawaii.
Oh yes
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
I felt Professor Gazdar really supported his students in their learning. And showed this proudness about them, that was really reassuring as a student. Who sometimes feels school can be so stressful, it was encouraging to hear him being proud of his students for doing good work!
I wanted to learn more from Dr.Nasir Gazdar.
Thank you for being a helpful teacher and make learn more about geology that is use in our daily life.
He really loves to teach and he really cares about the well being of the students. He makes time to answer out questions and make sure that we understand the concepts.
Thanks for your help
It was good about the geology of Hawaii to learn. I like a hike and swimming. Therefore, also daily, he can consider geology and can be enjoying himself. I did not know that Waikiki was a reclaimed ground. It was good to learn otherwise, when a flood, tsunami, and a mudslide were in Hawaii. I would like to know geologically the area which is suitable for house purchase near Waikiki somewhere.
He's a great professor!

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He encouraged every student and gave us a lot of chances to get extra point. In addition, his power point was really interesting so it was fun to study geology.
I told everything about this teacher in my GG101L evaluation.
I enjoyed taking his class because he is always cheerful. He explained each slideshow briefly and easy to understand.
He has a lot of knowledge and very helpful.
A professor's lesson helps my understanding by use of much PowerPoint and print. Moreover, questions and answers like a quiz show can be studied pleasantly. I have learned, while feeling geology close from a stone to the structure of an earthquake.
He encourages student participation and gives us appraisal. He gives a really good environment for learning because he has a lot of patience.
He is a very great teacher. He is knows his "stuff" and the way he teaches his class makes it easy for us to understand.
He is really nice personality and always think about his students.
Able to explain the information on his powerpoint with picture and facts about geology topics. He knows the knowledge of geology. Give extra credit opportunities.
He is very knowledgeable. He always says my students are smart and encourages us, but he is VERY smart. He believes in his students.
Professor Gazdar open mind-ness as a teacher really helped me as a student. He encouraged us as students think for ourselves, and did not really enforce his own ideas on geology on us. But he set an example for being a person that has an open mind when it comes to subjects in Geology. Being truthful at times saying he does not know even as a person with a PhD how everything in geology works. I enjoyed his transparency.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
nothing, because he is a perfect teacher!
It is very cold in a classroom.
Be a little more organized. Sometimes I had no idea what we were doing because things moved so fast.
none
He is wonderful!
I think the test is kinda long for some of it because there is a questions on the test.
I love his class!
It would be beneficial for him to clean up his power points, and only keep the power points that he needs. Because as a student he puts a lot of powerpoint slides up on Laulima, but does not go over them in class. It is kind of much, and can become confusing.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He always gave us emails end encouraged us to be No.1
He made many PowerPoint files and sometimes it was so fanny and cute!
Although we need to do a presentation, the professor adds the knowledge of advice and much attachment in advance. We can carry out by relaxing a presentation. There is exercises for a test and it greatly helps test study.
He keeps reminding us of our exam. He also encourages us to take the only practice exams and take advantage of extra credits being offered.
He comes in class early to answer questions and stays after class to help us as needed.
He always help students when they ask questions.
By being helpful and showing that he care about you and your grades too.
He sends students email and gives them some ideas of what grades they are getting.
He would always be open for comments or questions from the students. He also gave us food, which helps our minds to stay focused.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, I do!!!! His way of teaching is fit me and he had humors so I could enjoyed in his class.
YES!!! I will Strong recommend end him, because his class is very interesting and he is very sweet.
Yes. Since a professor's lesson is easy to understand, of course, it is recommended to the friend who is interested in the geology of Hawaii.
Oh yes! Learning in this class is fun and easy!
I would take his class. You will learn many things about our world. It is amazing. You will even learn safety skills for natural disasters.
YES!
Yes because He is a very nice teacher. Very helpful and really try his best to make sure that the student can do his best and wants you to be Ichiban.
I definitely do. He is just so nice and respects his students. He is always willing to help them. Also, he provides food sometimes. It helps a lot.
Yes, I would Professor creates a learning environment that is very enjoyable.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
I wanted to learn more from Dr.Nasir Gazdar.
He is a very kind professor. There is a peculiar accent in English. however, it can get used to be alike soon.
Thank you for teaching us well!
I enjoyed his jokes and how he would take us on field trips to get a hands on experience.
I am the ichiban!! lol Aeri

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He knows his subject, and has a lot of material for the course.
He definitly knows a lot about geology.
He has a lot of knowledge about geology.
Resourcefulness , knowledgeable in his field , easy to get along with, generous . Not missing a day of instruction. Seems like the school needs to invest some of the money it makes off our tuition into new learning tools for the student to be interact ,and grasp learning material.
Nasir Gazdar provides many accessible materials, extra credit incentives, and current events related to course topics that enhance our learning.
He knows the subject and he always created a good and pleasant learning atmosphere.
Professor Gazdar's major strengths as a teacher is that he is knowledgeable about the subject he is teaching. He is a nice and funny teacher, which makes class interesting. He is also a very generous teacher and wants his students to do well so he helps us to achieve that through tests and extra credit.

Prof. Grazdar strength is definitely his passion for subject and teaching. He provides a great environment for students to learn and encouraging us to learn.

Very knowledgeable about this subject. He is also very caring. He is a professor that is here to help his students succeed. He always responded to emails in a timely manner no matter what time it was sent to him.
Nasir Gazdar's major strength as a teacher is that he really does know his geology. He created many power points with lots of information and he also always sent them out before the next subject we would be discussing.
He always encourage students to do good in class but not only in class also in whole class stuff. Concern students and provides a good atmosphere for learning :)

Very friendly and willing to help at all times.
Knows a lot about his field
-knows his subject well -explains everything clearly -cares for the student -makes the classroom a safe and fun learning environment
everything
very knowledgable in the subject
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Please make it easier to know what is and is not an assignment. Some of the assignments were kind of hidden within the files he posted, so it was hard to find them.
The course wasn't purely about the Hawaiian islands. Most of the students in class haven't taken a geology course before but we spent most of the semester on basic geology. I think that the first month or so of the semester could have covered the basics of geology. There is also way too many slides for his powerpoint.
compensation for services rendered faithfully for decades should be , remitted to this said professor.
To cut down on slideshow information and plan beforehand what he is going to lecture upon and stick to it. Valuable class time is lost when information is disorganized or unable to find it.
Redesign the class syllabus and make it more clear what is to be presented from the number of power points on the actual exams.
I'm not too sure of any changes I would suggest.
No changes. I enjoyed his class a lot!
-NA-
I suggest that he makes a more concise schedule of the dates and exams. I understand that there are set backs that happen and dates may change however there were many professors that have an estimation of when the exams will be and they meet their goal. This course was very all over the place and one day I went to class not even knowing there was an exam and I was incredibly unprepared. Also I have no idea how the grading system is, he does not update us on our grades ever and he confuses me about one of our major projects, giving everyone more points than he said the project was worth. Other than being confused about the assignments he knew his material.
N/A
Have a set syllabus with all assignments and due dates on it. I had to go digging through the syllabus 100+ powerpoint just to find what and when assignments were due. Also, he sends like 10+emails a day and I never know whats important so the important stuff end up getting lost.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He was understanding if a student was unable to attend class due to illness, and was prompt in answering emails.
He let us know that he is available to answer any questions we may have through e-mail or at his office.
He would always tell students that "I'm here for you if you need any help"
Compassion, honesty, profesionalisim ,punctuality , patience.
Nasir reiterated important concepts to students that will be useful for tests or extra credit to boost student grades.
He was always ready to help us, he gave us exercises to have some extra points, he was always repeating important things in the class. We had activities outside the classroom so we could see the things he was teaching us and learn more.
Professor Gazdar showed concern for his students by giving us a great study guide, which was very helpful for tests. He also offered great extra credit, which really helped me. He also responded to emails quickly, which was also very helpful to me.
He is always ready to help. He provides a lot of resources so students can learn. He encouraging students to learn and be aware about the environment. He is always concern about students.
Hes always available and goes above and beyond
He would always try to accommodate students that needed to makeup a test or even take a test. He gave us students all the materials that we needed so that we did not have to buy the textbook.
He showed his concern for students by reminding us about the project and also offers lots of extra credit.
Check on us how we are doing and stuff
Answered all emails promptly, always available for help.
He would email you to remind to take the practice exam that he posted up on Laulima. He always reminds students to turn in things that have not. He is also understanding when it comes to doing make ups for the exams.
He always interacted with students.
He always wants us to be Ichiban #1
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
I wouldn't to be honest. He is a very kind man, but I found his teaching style a bit difficult.
No, the lectures were really boring and hard to sit through. Sometimes it was hard to understand what the professor was saying because he wouldn't finish his sentences. Also most of the questions students asked weren't actually answered, the porfessor would give an answer unrelated to the question.
yes I would and he was recommended to me by a fellow student. The cycle perpetuates it self.
I recommend Nasir to students who are self-motivated, able to create a friendly environment for other students to collaborate or study together. There is a giant of information available for students to save on flash drives for further review even after the course completes.
Yes. I learned a lot from him, he is a good teacher.
I would recommend Professor Gazdar to other students because he is very helpful and wants everyone to get an A.
I will definitely recommend Prof. Gazdar to other KCC students. He provides great learning environment, positive energy so students feel comfortable in the class. He encouraging students to learn and explore the geology not only in class but also outside the classroom.
Yes! you wont find a geology teacher anywhere else that knows as much as he does. If I have to learn about dirt, rocks, minerals I only want to learn from him.
Yes, I would recommend him to students. He teaches the subject in a way that everyone can understand.
I would recommend Nasir to other students if they were willing to go with the flow and just do everything that they can possibly do, including all the extra credit he offers. If they want to learn about geology but they don't mind not knowing exactly whats going on in class then they should definitely take Nasir.
Yes he is great professor
Nope. Super unorganized. He spends so much time switching back and forth between teaching mediums. HE replays the same slide over and over again. I stopped attending actual class unless it was test today because I seriously could not learn anything.
yes, awesome teacher.
Yes because he has a little of field work experience and has been teaching for a long time
Yes, because he is a great instructor. His class is easy to follow along and he is an approachable teacher. He knows his subject very well and provides a very safe and fun learning environment.
yes
Maybe not, the class wasn't hard, but it is pretty confusing trying to keep up with him
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Thank you Dr. G for teaching this course. It was a pleasure to work with you.
Thank you sir for confirmation in the knowledge you shared with us. It set to rest the assumptions we tend to hold on to as we experience our path through life.
I would advise Nasir to watch his health carefully if he wants to continue teaching.
Professor Gazdar has a great personality and it makes class interesting. I believe that is an important characteristic for a teacher to have to make class fun and effective.
He is a very nice guy.
Great proffessor with passion and positive energy!

I would suggest that some of the due dates or exams be posted or put on a calendar for us. It wasnʻt always made clear when certain things were due. I personally think that when teachers give out a class schedule with due dates included, it helps us better prepare for what we need to turn in.
No changes, he is an excellent teacher.

He has to grade students correctly. He always forgot that I did assignments, and then he says that I haven't done yet. So, he has to check it, and grades it correctly. Also, if students miss midterm and chapter test, they were able to take them next class. I think it is not fair.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
study guides, practice exams,encouraged questions
He's always available, just gotta let him know when you need help.
power point has a lot of pictures and it is easy to understand. sometimes we have fun extra credit time.
communication regularly through emails
n/a
He was available and answered emails promptly.
Mr. Gazdar always encouraged us to be ICHIBAN! Or number 1! Every time we had an exam he would make sure we all tried or attempted the extra credit questions as well so we could earn other points. He discouraged the use of laptops and cell phones in class which better helped us and kept others less distracted. And he always had extra credit opportunities available to us no matter what.
He is easy to communicate, provide support, he respond to students quickly.
he emails us back and made us feel confidant.
Yes, he wants us to do well so he encourages us to keep up with our work. As long as we complete what he ask us to do we will be ichiban
He inform us about exams, extra credit, and so on in the class.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes, he's a considerate professor who wants his students to be ichiban
Yes, he's a great teacher.
he knows how to keep students on the track. he gives us a lot of extra credit to improve our grade.
yes!! i strongly recommend hime to the other students. he is very kind and nice to his students.
Yes. I want to recommend to students. However, GG class is only his class.
yes because he is a great teacher
YES!
yes, very informative and useful.
I would definitely reccommend Mr. Gazdar to other students. His class is not hard at all unless you make it hard yourself. Everything on the exams is provided in class and in his lectures. He encourages his students to strive for excellence and provides many extra credit opportunities outside of class as well.
Yes, I would recommend him for sure.
yes. he is very funny and shows concern of his students.
Yes, I would recommend Dr. G to other students because I know he care for his student and wants them to succeed.
He concerned only some students. He didn't treat students fairly.

Great instructor...Lots of extra credit work given...would recommend to others...
Aloha and mahalo nui Dr. Gazdar for an engaging learning experience this semester, exploring the realm of the Hawaiian islands geology.
I definitely had fun learning and will let people know about Dr. G.'s class. He's funny, tells funny jokes, makes the whole class laugh! He also does hands on training and I got become a certified Seismologist, which is indeed one of the coolest things! Learning outdoors was neat too, as I got to learn more about how the land is, and seeing for myself on how the craters are and what lichens are. I definitely learned a lot in his class and will fully recommend him to anyone that is wanting to learn about Geology. He made learning fun! Aloha Dr. G., Thank you for teaching me about how the land was formed and also on how to read maps! That's cool! I definitely learned a lot! You also took your time to really help me understand on how some things are. Thank you so much for literally being one of the top best Professors and classes that I've ever seriously taken in college! Now I can tell on earthquakes and how / what the land forms in maps looks like. I can also tell now on why some land masses are formed and if they were weathered by man made items and or by the natural elements itself. I literally learned a lot! Your classes is Ichiban! :) Mahalo!
It was really interesting taking an online class for lab
Professor Gazdar makes class fun and enjoyable. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities which is good because it helps the students get better grades
Great Professor! Very easy to communicate with and always willing to help students with questions or problems that may have been encountered throughout the semester.
I wish I took this online course more seriously because I was really looking forward to learning more about the Geology on the Hawaiian Islands. I think the freedom to complete assignments online with no definite due date made me procrastinate more than I should have. I was disappointed in the material online because it wasn't as interesting as I had expected. I do think Prof. Gazdar is a nice instructor. A little hard to follow sometimes.

Dr. G., is seriously one of the best science professors that I have ever had learned from! He makes learning about Geology fun and sends neat power points that shows exactly how things are. He also answers questions and explains it to a way of really understanding how things work. I now have much interest in looking at volcanic activity and also knowing about how the Tsunami works. The composition of each material is the neatest part, as nowadays when I explain to people about what things such as coral is made of, and or the differences of volcanic rocks and more. He really does takes his time in helping one understand and gives everyone the opportunity to participate in discussions. He also does hands on with minerals and specimens to get a better understanding on what things physically looks like. I really appreciate learning about Geology and Geophysics now, and how it affects the ecosystem. He also makes me want to become more of an Environmentalist and to help educate people. To Dr. G., Thank you so much for being one of the best science professors that I have ever learned from! I'm definitely glad that I took your GG103 and GG101L courses! I learned so much that now I really pay attention to the geology matter that is around me! Aloha! :)
Definitely knows his stuff about the subject matter. Good teacher and wants his students to be successful.
He goes through the powerpoint well and gives good examples. He doesn't always completely answer the questions we have. But overall he did a good job.
He makes the subject interesting and offers a lot of extra credit opportunities
I really enjoyed Mr. G's class! He is really into what he teaches which makes learning and paying attentions very easy and fun! His lectures are based off of Power Points but he posts them online which is really helpful if you cannot make it to class. Overall, I really liked his class and would recommend it to any of my classmates.
I hate power point all he did was use power point all semester!
Prof. Gazdar is a very friendly instructor. It was a bit difficult to understand some of his lectures due to his accent. The material he went over was interesting and informative. I enjoyed his class for the most part.
Interesting class.
Very interesting class I enjoyed every class period Mr. Gazdar knows his stuff. He is very enthusiastic about Hawaiian Geology.
I enjoyed his class very much. I wish he taught other courses so i could take them
He is very informative and has a great sense of humor. His classes are fun and make learning fun. I recommended his class to other students.

Professor Gazdar is very knowledgeable about Geology and is very open and kind to all of his students. I enjoyed this class.
The course itself wasn't bad. sometimes I think that the questions should be reviewed a little bit more so they are more understandable.
Suggestion: I feel it would be easier to navigate this online course if the information was more accessible from Laulima. For example, the syllabus is often located in the left-hand side of the screen for both on-campus and on-line courses. Also if each section (readings, PPTs, videos) was listed in this same place under Modules, it would be less complicated and easier to follow along. Concern: It was frustrating for me at the beginning of the course that my request for clarification of course materials was met with a suggestion that if I was not willing to do the work, perhaps I should drop the class. I was asking for help and clarification. To have this suggestion made in front of the entire class was a bit insulting. The above said, I learned a lot from this class and am glad I took it.
This online class was well organized and I learned a lot
I really enjoyed this online class and the opportunities this professor gave us for extra credit points. I would highly recommend this course to anyone and everyone! Mahalo.
dr.g helps his students in every way he can, which is pretty rare for teachers now a days.
Easy to communicate with and was always willing to provide help when prompted, also made sure that students learn without stressing over too many deadlines and through real life application the subject was easier to relate to.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He is very into what he teaches. You can tell he is really fascinated by the information he is teaching us. This make is really fun and easy to learn.
He has plenty of material that he makes available.
His strenths were trying to help everyone get an A on the test by telling us to study and read into the powerpoints and the papers he gives out.
Good man
He knows the subject and he knows it well.
Knows material well Entertaining to listen too.
Nice, Friendly, helpful.
Very knowledgable, passionate about subject.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Maybe do more activities. The entire class was based on powerpoints.
Make clear what kind of work he has in mind, if it's just in-class our turn in work. It seemed to me that had only a few things that needed to be accomplished.
None because he is trying his best to help students excel in college
He's good
Updated equipment, and maybe some more rock samples.
Have more organization. More structure to the class. I sometimes felt we were jumping around from topic to topic
The lab class is easy, it is ok for me.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He was very attentive to his emails. Emailing him was the best way to contact him outside of class. And it was very easy and fast to communicate with him outside of class.
He didn't really, just tell those who where not paying attention to be quiet or leave.
He pushes the students to try make it to the lab class to push harder! to learn how it works!
Helpful
He would always encourage students to be number one. If you did not get one hundred percent on something then you were not done and he would be there if a student needed help. I really enjoyed that push for excellence.
check out if every students is on the same page, prides, candies, pizzas
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes! He was the best teacher I had all semester! He made a boring class (not my cup of tea) a very fun and knowledgeable experience.
Yes, he was a bit confusing but it was easy, only really need to come to class and do the very undemanding exercises.
Yes i would because he really trys to pushes students to do everything and every Test!
Yes for sure
Yes, I would. He makes learning about rocks fun.
Depends. If people like lecture, this is a good class. but if you need to be entertained constantly and need organization. This class will be a struggle.
if anyone need lab class, I would recommend to them because it is easy, and Dr. G is so nice.
Yes! He's awesome.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
He is a sweet old guy.
Thank you professor for being ibiban!
Ichiban teacher
He takes really good care of his students and makes sure everyone is keeping up with the material.
Heʻs a really nice guy but organization would have greatly increased my ability to learn.

In the lab, sometimes there wasn't much to do... not sure what you could change about that though

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He always encourage students to do work and help out the students.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He is very knowledgeable with the course and involves all of his students, in a fun way.
Dr. G is a knowledgable Professor who is passionate about his work and his students learning. Everyone is ichiban straight A students right from the start.
His lecture is attractive.
He knows very well about his teaching subject.
Lecturing
clear understanding of material and fair grading.
Nasir Gazdar's major strengths as a teacher are his power point presentations and easy going attitude.
he is good at telling us the subject
He is knowledgeable in Geology, and encourages his students to learn.
Nice, Knowing his subjects well.
He is very smart
His ability to relate the inner workings of earth with every day things the students can understand.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Not Applicable.
Some changes I think would be great is maybe not spending to much time on certain materia,l because the final is work 400 points and we have been going through it really fast, I am uncertain how well I will do. A way to see how we are doing in class with the extra credit because I'm not sure what grade I'll be getting.
Test is too difficult.
None.
Not so much lecture and actually follow the syllabus schedule. Don't be so scattered. There were too many times where he would go off topic and lose the attention of most of the students in the class
The program he uses seems like it could be out of date? but it could just be the format it is presented in
I would suggest letting students know if they need a textbook for the class before the start of the semester.
no its all good
No changes.
more clear about test
let kids ask more questions
Nothing, everything was informative.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He would always help out one on one when a student needed help with projects, etc.
He shows concerns by always expressing how much we should study and go over material. Always allows us to ask questions. He lets us know they he can help if we need it and offers extra credit on exams as well as outside extra credit so we can boost our grade. He wants all his students to pass with an A.
He tried to encourage students to go to field trip to give extra credit so that the students could learn more from new environment.
He kept repeating that we must come to class and be "ichiban"
allowed for make up tests
Nasir Gazdar wants everyone to be ichi'ban! And he will help anyone who asks him about the subject as best as he can.
he would see us and he would tell us to do this and we will get the credit
He wants his students to succeed and helps you understand if you don't.
if students need help, he would be happy to help them. check students with their study, provides a lot of extra points to make students work.
by making time for them
He would often ask is students had any questions and went out of his way to explain certain concepts.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes. It was a very fun, and straight-forward class. All of the material was easily accessible as well.
I would recommend Dr. G if you want a teacher who is knowledgable and driven about Geology. If you need extra time to study on other subjects he does not give homework.
Yes because his class is fun and many extra credits if you go field trip of your own to learn.
No. He lectures too much and makes class feel really long. It is also hard to understand what he is trying to teach because he goes off topic too much and then when we would get the next exam the questions on the exam wouldnt match the material he went over.
yes he is an interesting person and knows his material well.
I would recommend Nasir Gazdar to students because he knows his stuff on geology and "knowledge is safety!"
yes because this is something we need to know about our island
Yes, he sets his students up for success.
yes. because he is nice, and provides students with opportunities to study
yes, he is great
Yes, absolutely. He makes geology relatable to everyday things.
Hard to understand but I am sure he knows this subject well.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Great Course.
He is easy going and cares if you as a student succeed.
None.
Funny at times and has good intentions, but needs to make some changes in teaching techniques and strategies
thank you for teaching me
He is a passionate teacher.
thnX
He has great attention to detail.
He's stubborn. I dont know he grades our every single assgnment. There is no way to check our grade until final which really sucks.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Dr. G's main effort is in helping us get good grades. He encourages an atmosphere of easy going learning. He made available ample material for the course over Laulima.
That he knew his material very well. Could really tell that he loved this subject.
Pushes students to do better to get an A
He's helpful
Helpful
Dr. Gazdar is a very caring, inspiring, and selfless educator! In every way that he can he encourages students to look beyond the science and analytics of geology, but to the knowledge of itʻs practicality in day to day life, because "knowledge IS power" and a better informed community is a better prepared community.
NICE TEACHER
He makes learning interesting and always teaches the class in a positive mood.
His knowledge towards this topic was wide and accurate, allowing us to learn/benefit from the information given and questions asked.
Knows material well Entertaining to listen too.
funny teacher, great slide show, very informational.
He's wise, gentle and knowledgeable!
Dr, Gazdar is one of the few professors that truly does care about his students and that they LEARN! He is a wonderful orator and keeps the pace moving. He is a wonderful combination of humorous and serious too. His ability to explain things in a simple way really help to get us to understand what it is he is relaying to us. He makes sure to take time and energy to prepare worksheets to pass around and guidelines to help us with our exams. No Matter what you KNOW when you walk into his classroom you will smile and you will learn by he end of hat class! `
Knowledgable, passionate, compassionate, &ICHIBAN!!!!
doc G is a very good geology teacher and touches the major points in geology of hwaiian islands
Each and every explanation of new words and story was so fun. He uses easier words rather than confusing "college level" words. He knows so much about Hawaiian islands. I felt like I was taking a trip to different islands while I was sitting in the class. And also, because of his story, I notice a lot of geological words whenever I go outside. Being in Hawaii make me think more about geology. I do feel that I am learning a lot and actually applying each knowledge to my daily life.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
I would recommend a hearing aid.
Nothing
More extra credit.
He's good
Nothing at this time.
PPT IS TOO LONG AND SOME OF THEM WE DON'T EVEN LEARN, FOR SOMETHING ELSE, IT IS ALL SAME INFORMATION.
I do not suggest any changes.
I suggest having actual attendance points; I noticed that many people skipped his class many times and missed his valuable lectures and only showing up on test dates (because that was graded and concerned). By applying attendance points, I'm sure mores students will come in to class on a daily basis.
Better organization Have better class control Some students were very distracting
study guide for tests would be very helpful
Nothing! Gazdar was one of my favorite teachers of all time, amazing heart, he definitely cares for the students
I believe I would have an assistant teacher set in there for him. Although he is quite capable of doing every thing himself it would help US as students to NOT have to wait while he is getting out supplies and or examples, or visual aides. During that time ( which can run from 5 minutes to 10 or more at times...we would much rather he spend that time lecturing us. That kind out manual labor and petty type chores don't require a degree! But the knowledge that he imparts upon us does! so I would strongly ask that he be given a student teacher or an intern each semester just to help him so he can have more time to accomplish all that I KNOW he will NOT be able to cover. Besides....his knees/hips are bothering him and all that extra walking back and fort is just aggravating the problem more. I know I too have been through that pain. Both my hips were replaced and I know he is just grinning and bearing the pain. GOD Bless him!
compress the power points
Maybe he could organize each unit just a little bit more. Powerpoint was very detailed and covers everything you need to know. It is almost like you don't have to come to class..., which maybe why the number of students goes down later the semester.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He reminded us of the importance of assignments.
Tells us how we can get a better grades!
He ask them how they are doing.
He was helpful
Dr. Gazdar provides a multitude of resources and support for students to succeed and fully comprehend in a practical manner the knowledge theyʻre taking in. There is no way one should be failing a class such as his. He provides access to many free community opportunities and events to further explore the vastness and beauty of the world of geology in the Hawaiian islands.
REPLY MY EMAIL FAST
Nasir Gazdar showed concern for students by always listening to our questions and concerns.
When slide were shown at a fast rate or slow pace, he would ask if we understood or if we had questions. If we ever did have a question, he would always take his time to answer them instead of sliding them away for another time.
extra credit opportunities
He made sure to help until EVERYONE gets it, he'd also make group quizzes and made sure everyone participated
I was ill quite often and consequently I missed many classes and had to take my exam after the due date as well. he always made allowances for me. That was such a relief for me considering how much emotional and physical pain I was in. My plate was and is overflowing with work and problems that I can't even begin to list!! I am so very blessed that he was one of my teachers. He makes a student want to learn and not afraid to tell him what is going on so he can help if at all possible,
Compassionate and understanding.
He pushes you to do things. He communicates you to do your best. He cares student's major, future plans and background. He shares a lot of information to be successful in your academic career. Not just classes you are taking, but scholarships, honors program, I leaned a lot of things I did not know before.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, he is a sweet old guy and if you there to learn you can get an easy "A".
Yes i would because he like to make jokes and laugh and help students!
Yes for sure
Absolutely! Dr. Gazdar lives and breathes with such a passion for geology, itʻs contagious really! Especially in the context of the Hawaiian Islands, Dr. G incorporates the importance of understanding our connection with the beauty and science of geology in this special place we call home. He somehow nurtures an understanding that a healthy relationship between us as humans and our natural environment with a wholistic perspective and approach to the challenges/opportunities of our time.
YES
I would absolutely recommend Nasir Gazdar to other students because he is very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and a very friendly teacher.
Yes I would. Not only is his class relaxing and comforting, he has many knowledge towards the topic and are all easy to follow along. I just really wish he would fix the attendance part, really, so students will not take advantage of his kindness.
yes, easy A
Of course! I'd also recommend the lab as well! :D It's more or less a easy class, and he gives you WAAAAAAAY more info than necessary so tests and what not are easy! Over all, I learned a lot!
IN A HEART BEAT...........YES!!!! A MILLION TIMES OVER ...YES>>YES>>>YES!! I wish he taught more classes so that I could have him as an instructor for other classes too. I would enroll in them just because he was the [person teaching them.
Yes!!!!! He's awesome and ICHIBAN.
yes. great class. learned a lot.
I would recommend Dr. Gazdar to everyone only if they are willing to come to class. He puts so much effort into what he is teaching us. I was tired of seeing so many students ditching this class. It was very disrespectful.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
He is getting on in years, this would not be a problem except he gets frustrated when he can't understand what we are asking.
Thank you for helping us be ichiban!
nothing.
Ichihban teacher
Thank you Dr. Gazdar for continuing to serve as an educator, amid some challenges of your own, you push on making things happen! Mahalo nui kumu.
NICE TEACHER
I would like to thank him or a great semester and for everything he taught me.
He made everyone laugh by always sticking in Japanese words such as "ichiban" and "wakarimasuka." Now, everyone knows what ichiban means and we hope to be his ichiban in class.
I wish he taught more classes!
I would like to say that I certainly PRAY that KCC & the University of Hawaii along w/the D.O.E> all KNOW who this man is. I hope they realize how fortunate they are to have such a quality professor @ KCC Community College. I know I am! I've attended this institution for 3 yrs now & have had approx.20+ teachers.I'd place him as one of the top (3) three!!! The top (3) three I have in my head are all excellent teachers; they each excel at something special & different then the others. However ...the ONE thing they ALL share is their LOVE & PASSION for teaching! It's the time & their dedication to making each class a memorable & fulfilling one that impresses me. It's because of Dr. G & the other (2)two teachers that I've now decided which direction my 2nd degree will go...I'll continue on & also become a teacher! So I thank you Dr. G for all your malama & aloha. Thank you for ALAWAYS CARING ABOUT MY WELL_BEING! I absolutely treasure you. GOD BLESS and keep you well.
ICHIBAN!!! Número uno.
keep up the good work and sense of humor Doc!

Ichiban teacher
The UH system and KCC owes it big time, to such fiercely loyal and dedicated educators such as Dr. Gazdar and so many others who continue to serve amid some of the challenging dynamics that are at play in such institutions. Mahalo nui.
Thank you!
As much as I like his class, it is true that he forgets things sometimes. For example, he asks you "do you want to do your presentation today?" when you did finish yours weeks ago... I really want him to continue teaching at KCC, but some students do take advantage of the fact that he forgets things. I've seen some students saying "I did mine last week" when they did not do anything. I wonder if/ and how Dr. Gazdar keeps our grades updated...

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
very smart and makes it relatable
Dr. Gazdar was very organized, and was very clear with teaching us different aspects of the lab. He encouraged us to become familiar with our labs and encouraged us to all work together.
He is very thorough with what he teaches and often repeats himself just incase the students don't necessarily grasp on to what he's trying to get across. He's very caring for his students as well often re assuring all of us that he is available to help us.
Clear and explains each topic enough to have a good understanding
He is very smart and kind
He knows a lot about this topic.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
speak slower and more clearly
None.
I would make that he has an outline in the class and makes things as clear as possiable. Also listen to some of the questions that some students are saying because sometimes the answers we get are like not even related to the question.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
he'd tell you if you missed assignments or labs and how it hurts your grade
Like I said above he often likes to say that he's there for us as students and reassures us that he will help us if we need it.
give everyone same amount of attention. class participation.
He made sure everyone was included in everything we did. No one got left out.
He showed sconcern by making sure that we did things on time and stuff.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yeah for geology of course
yes. easy ciriculum to follow. will not get lost in his lectures.
Yes! The best teacher I had a KCC
Yes. Because he is very knowledgable.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
he's a good guy and im glad i took his class
Hes agood teacher and thank you for a good summer session.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Dr. Gazdar knows the subject material very well! He presented the material in multiple ways to make sure the students understood the subject. He graded assignments the day they were completed and presented the grade to students the following class day, which was really appreciated by students in the class. He encourages students to think through the processes to answer questions and encourages the class to all get involved in the lecture by answering questions and participating in groups.
Professor Gazdar knows the material and has great knowledge of geology. He is very friendly and caring towards his students.
New geology very well as well as the Hawaiian geological names, which I found difficult at times to remember. Very considerate of students and treated everyone fairly.
Patient and Persistent.
he gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit to raise your grade and provides the resources to succeed.
He always encourages student's participation. He knows a lot about this subject area.
Dr. G was great as a teacher. He was very strong with his encouragements the most important one being ICHIBAN be number one! Also he was very strong in making great analogies to things that we are familiar with so that we can understand the topic that much better!
He displayed the information we needed to know in an understandable, organized manner
He really knows the subject
The professor was really motivated and I loved his funny examples that he used in the class. Class was really fun and I wish I could take him for other classes!
very repetitive which I like because it helps the material to sink in when learning.
His passion and knowledge.
He is extremely knowledgable in Geology and his passion for the subject really showed and made me interested. Overall, he's one of the best professors I've ever had.
He is very kind of international students. He really takes me care. I sometimes don't understand what I learned in his class, but he really teaches me again after the class.
Professor Gazdar is a great teacher who truly cares for the subject, and fir the students.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
Overall the course schedule was unclear, so we could not set up my study plan well. So better put the clear schedule on syllabus.
I would suggest Professor Gazdar to cut down on his power point slides. It's not organized well much can be deleted because you restate a lot of the same material just in different ways.
Earlier notifications or a set schedule of tests and exams so students can better prepare.
Nothing really.
speak more clearly and slower.
Nothing.
The only problem I may say would be that he likes to change the test days on us very of and on. If he says that the test is going to be on one day he should just keep it on that day. There was an instance where he said that the test was going to be the following week, but he came into class the next day after he told us that and said the test was today. Although he ended up keeping to his original promise I hope he never actually does something like that, because it is unfair to those who maybe did not study enough for the test to be randomly given the next day instead of the following week for example.
None!
More organization
Maybe just refine the powerpoints because there are a lot of repeated slides and whatnot.
None.
He doesn't define the day of an exam. I was really confused.
He is great!
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Dr. Gazdar showed concern for students by talking with them about how to prepare for the exams, and answering any concerns you had about understanding parts of the lecture. You could talk with him before or after class as well as by email. It was comforting to know that he was there to help you if something was unclear.
Professor Gazdar would always come to class early so students could ask him questions or concerns.
He ask how assignments were coming along. If you had any trouble he was always open for questions.
he would remember if you missed class or labs and would remind you the consequences
He remembers everyone's name. He sends email individually to give us some feedback.
He was always there for his students! He always said I'm here to help you constantly throughout our tests which made us feel very reassured.
He made sure they were coming to class and paying attention to the material being presented
I think the extra credit opportunities were a way to help students be successful in the class which was really helpful to everyone.
Professor G gives every student a chance to participate in class.
He always concerned about us. And he always encouraged us to ask questions.
He made sure that we really understood the subject and really prepared us for exams.
He speaks to all students. Also, all students did activities in front of students. He always supports our activities. He really help students.
He knew everyone's name the first week of school. He made sure everyone knew what he was talking about, and showed respect to every student.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
I would recommend Dr. Gazdar to students. He is a wonderful teacher, and his class is very informative. He takes a subject that has the potential to be dull, and livens it up and makes it reality for students by comparing events to things we see every day in our hometown.
I would recommend Professor Gazdar to other students. He knows his material and is a very interesting teacher but with the extreme amount of information he tends to loose the class to computers and etc.
Yes. I feel this instructor actually cares about his job and the students in his class. he cares about their grade and well-being.
he is the only teacher for the class but yeah i'd still recommend him.
Yes, I would. I learned a lot about Hawaiian Islands throughout his lecture.
Yes he is a great encouraging teacher that only wants his students to be number one or ICHIBAN!
Yes! He's a great, caring teacher :)
Absolutely...he is such a great teacher and person in general and his little side jokes make his class very entertaining.
Yes. He is a very understanding and clear during lecture.
Yes. His lecture was really interesting!
Yes, absolutely. He's a great professor that made me interested in Geology. I've learned a lot in his class without actually feeling like I'm learning.
Yes. Because he is very helpful of students.
Yes! He is an awesome teacher, he makes sure everyone understands, and he's a lot of fun.
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
I hope everything is all well for this man. He is a fair person.
hes a really nice guy, makes the class interesting and makes it easy to relate to
I like his lecture because he always try to make it fun and he also answers every question we ask.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
He knows his stuff
He knows the material like the back of his hand.
His knowledge and experience
good teacher very good teacher good teacher
He is very Knowledgeable about the subject in Geology. Taking his class is great!
He has a lot of knowledge about geology. I wanted to study well, however, I am an international student, so that it was difficult for me to memorize the name of rocks or minerals in English due to complicated and longer names. Then, using real Hawaiian rocks or chemicals, he tried us to learn and understand it well with interesting.
everything. we love him
Mr.G know the subject area very well.
he likes to joke and he was walk around us and check how we follow him
He made sure that everyone was paying attention and that there were no distractions around.
Dr. Gazdar is an incredibly knowledgeable and caring teacher. I whole heartedly recommend my fellow classmates to take is class. He has a lot of perspective and real life experiences to draw from for his comments, so his words has a lot of weight. He also is aware that the day gets long with class and lab, so he brings snacks for the students - that is so thoughtful. I was originally concerned as us students really didn't have a textbook to work with. However, Dr. G does provide an immense amount of material to work with. I'm very happy that I took this course and got to meet Dr. Gazdar. He is a gem of a teacher.
Professor Gazdar's major strengths involve knowing the subject matter well and that he has a great and positive attitude towards his students and the learning environment.
He is very knowledgeable in his area.
He is very informative
Even though the course material is too much and hard to understand sometimes, Mr.G makes it as easy as possible. He is nice and caring for everyone. He also prepares students for tests and exams so no body can fail.
He is so patient and always eager to help his students. Geology and science alone, is a hard subject but when he teaches, he makes it easy enough to where we understand.
Ichiban
Mr.G Has a Very Big Heart
he knows the geology very well. he is very kind and always makes sure we know about disaster preparations and always let us know how to succeed in the class
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
none
Maybe update the syllabus to show due dates more clearly. I found myself confused and lost a few times unsure of what to do.
The way the lab is run is great, the lecture class would be great to have more interaction like the lab.
no changes good teacher
Nothing
Nothing special.
Nothing
no
none, he is awesome.
I had a difficult time following his schedule because he would jump to different powerpoints, lectures, and slides. He didnt really give out progress reports or tell us our grades when asked or emailed about. I just wish he would have kept us posted with our progress through out the semester and used a more precise way of teaching the lectures/powerpoints.
Use newer videos in his lectures. A few may be outdated.
Nope
Mr.G is perfectly fine doing what he is doing right now.
Don't jump around so much. Also it isn't fair that what's taught in class is rarely on the test.
None. Dr. G is one of the sweetest teachers I ever had.
to be more Ichiban
keep up the good work
he was awesome, I love his teaching approach.
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Helped when ever they asked questions
Always had availability and reminded students of that often
good teacher listened like a good teacher
Yes, he wants all his students to succeed
He can memorize his all students' names on the first try, and he always cares about his students. Taking for example, when I was injured, he lectured me how to get well quickly. It helped me my leg quick recovery. Again, he has good memories. He can remember everything that the students said to him totally even though it was just a small talk. It is the evidence that he faces each other against his all students seriously and shows his concerns for them.
he take time to talk to student. he cares us a lot.
He check his email super fast.
he was walking around us and check what we doing and how we follow him
He showed he cared by addressing us if our grade was suffering or if we didn't turn in the assignments.
He encouraged everyone to do well and be number one. His personality and genuine attitude really shines. He is a great and nice person.
He cares alot about what he teaches
Prep everyone for tests, gives advices through email, gives help outside of class.
He was always so loving and there was never a day with him not having a smile on his face. He always had a positive attitude which made the class enjoyable.
very kind and if youre not feeling well he understands and talks to you
always attentive, caring, and understanding
he was always early for class and last to leave he would stay extra if you had any concerns. He was very prompt on emails or concerns.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes, because hes a good teacher
Yes, the class was overall good and provides an easy way for students to learn the material.
yes because good teacher
Naturally, I can say yes. It is because his students can learn about Hawaiian geology or hazard, and etc, but not only that. Students can share their own personal idea with the class through the lecture. Extracurricular class ,that was when we went to the hill to see the rocks or landforms, and etc, was a great time for me to understand about geology. He provides a good atmosphere for learning, therefore, students can understand it with interesting. Also, it helps us easy to form many friendships. That's why his atmosphere is great.
YES. we got to go to the lava dorm which was very fun. also the class was very fun. we got to know each other very well.
Yes, because he is a great teacher
i recommend Nasir Gazdar because you won't boring during class time and you will interesting about Geology. he is really funny guy
yes, he made geology easy to learn.
Yes and No because he really is a great person, very kind, and encouraging, but if you really want to learn Geology then no. It just really is a messy and not organized course, or to be more specific, lectures.
Yes, his a great teacher
YES! BEST.TEACHER! Ichiban #1, Mr.G.
No, it's hard to follow what is happening in this class.
Yes, of course. Because he makes Geology such a joy and an interesting topic.
Yes, Ichiban

YES, if you love geology I would definitely recommend Dr. G
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
Hes a good teacher who helps his students
Very nice man

Thanks for teaching me!!
he is a great teacher.
He really has great intentions, positive, really kind, caring, and encouraging, funny as well, but its a bit confusing to follow his teaching style and the overall direction of the lectures through out the semester.
Overall a kind and interesting person

I am pleased to become one of his students. I have been able to learn about not only geology, but also many things: thought of social or moral which is the most important thing that we are facing as a human. For me, that means very much.
haha. I answered all the above questions in the first comment box. Dr. Gazdar is wonderful, and I learned. I look at things differently based on what I learned in his class.
Suggestions include following a precise schedule. Not to jump around different power points/slides/lectures, etc. It was just not so organized and confusing to follow.
Thanks Mr.G

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
he always trying to keep students engaged in class. he prepares games for us before test to help us learn material in a way that is fun. he knows what he teaches and likes his job.
He knows the material very well. He gives a lot of chances.
his personality, the way he teach... a lot!
love his lecture class. everything he displayed in class was available online. he is very passionate about geology and our knowledge is power.
He can memorize his students' names on the first try, and he always cares about his students. Taking for example, when a student was sick or injured seriously and she could not come to the class for a long time, he told the class to write the get-well cards for her. It goes without saying that it helps her quick recovery both physically and mentally.
He knew about eh subject he was teaching. He knew a lot about the geology of the hawaiian islands. So, she made a lot of powerpoint notes for us to study.
His class can be entertaining, he has a great sense of humor. He knows the Hawaiian Islands well.
Mr. Gazdar knew the material backwards and forwards. Mr. Gazdar was also extremely helpful.
He really is a kind person and very encouraging towards everyone however he doesnt really come off as approachable or available.

Very knowledgeable about this subject.
He is funny
Dr. Gazdar is very very knowledgeable on this subject. You can tell he is really passionate about geology. He adds jokes during lecture which makes it more fun and interesting. He repeats key information many times throughout his lectures to ensure all of us got it.
He's very knowledgeable, patient, and responds promptly to email. Grades tests quickly. He keeps his more inconsiderate students in line.
Hes knows his stuff
He shared his experience and knowledge of the subject effectively.
how he makes learning quite fun
knid and smile
Dr. G is a great professor. He has lots of knowledge and teaches very well. He shows that he cares a lot about every student's success. I learned a lot from his class. There are not a lot of teachers on campus as kind as Dr. G.
Uses practical examples to help understand material better.
He is very informative
HE showed that he really cared about the safety of students and clearly expresses that in each of his lectures
He is really funny guy and make us to focus on work
Ichiban
He is such a joy to have as a teacher. He never complains if one of us doesn't understand a certain topic. He is always so patient and eager to help.
He is very knowledgeable in his area.
He is so nice to evey students. He taught sincerly during this semester.
You will always be our Ichiban
Great knowledge of the course, having sense of humor, helping everyone that needed it.
Great Teacher and know the subject area very well.
Professor G is a great teacher. He is very passionate and makes learning a lot of fun. His lectures, handouts, and powerpoints are all very clear and extremely helpful with the material we were learning about.
Very available to his students, provides updates throughout the week and even the weekend, and provides great detailed powerpoint presentations for class.
He is very kind and caring for his students. Always willing to go out of the way for us.
Professor Gazdars main strength as a teacher would have to be how knowledgable he is about Hawaiian Geology. Gazdar never had to read from a book or a handout when lecturing the class. Amazingly he knows all the subject matter by heart; however, this is also one of his main weaknesses. Often Gazdar would zoom through material while he jumped too quickly from concept to concept.
His passion for for geology. I could tell on the first day his love for geology. It makes me as a student more interested and invested.
Shows concerns for students and very prompt with replaying to emails.
He is good in his subject many experience, and he really good teacher.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
he did a wonderful job. he was very approachable and made us love geology.
Stick to one subject at a time. Extremely confusing to follow what is happening in class. Also it's not fair that was is taught in class is rarely on the test and that the points on the test are greatly skwed.
Nothing special.
He could be a little more organized when teaching. He was kind of all over the place when he would present his powerpoints.
Mr. Gazdar should allow more room near the end of class for presentations so that we are not rushing to present or having to constantly delay our presentations until the next class or next week.
His teaching style. He really jumps around different lectures/powerpoints/slides during the class and throughout the semester and its confusing to follow. Sometimes I felt like some of the exam questions weren't covered in the lectures due to the messy organization.

Less use of power points Take text book off the book list. We didnt use text once.

The lectures were very boring in the sense that it all seemed very repetitive and would lose students attention. I noticed students falling asleep a lot or playing on their phones or computers. Maybe do more interactive lectures to keep students on their toes.

To make the lectures more interactive, it was easier to remember the material when we would do the game one by one rather than just listening.

The only thing that I would suggest to Dr. G is to be more specific on the contents of the exams. All of the information covered in every lecture and online is too broad.

Maybe be a little bit more clear on instructions
Need to make actual study guides. Not 400 slide power points. Explain subjects more clearly so that everyone understands. Help students better prepare for exams.
I feel that there are many things that Professor Gazdar could do to help his students succeed. One of the main things would be the way that he structures his lessons and how the information correlates to the exams. Many students including myself agreed that a lot of the information on exams are not taught in the class at all. If Gazdar had organized his lessons properly then I feel that I would have learned more from this class.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
he is always outside the classroom before class to help students who need it. or asking how he can help. he is always concerned if we are happy in all of our classes not just his. he definatly enjoys teaching and is concerned that all of us know what we need to get good grades!!
he cares us deeply
he was very prompt on emails, always asked if we had questions. and always early for class and stayed after if he needed to.
He has good memories. He can remember everything that the students said to him totally even though it was just a small talk. It is the evidence that he faces each other against his all students seriously and shows his concerns for them.
He would have office hours available and if students had any questions in class he would answer then promptly.
Mr. Gazdar always told his students to ask him any questions or express any concerns that they might have about the class. Mr. Gazdar answered every question that I had with a clear answer.
He encouraged everyone to be number one and he really is kind, positive and funny as well.
good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher
He was always available Replied to emails promptly Always offering help and giving us the chance to do well He was very caring toward his students Very nice teacher
Allowed lots of room for assignments
He always reminds us about upcoming tests and what to study for, so there really is no reason not to come unprepared for tests. He talks to me and other students outside of class and ask about topics on presentation and very encouraging, suggests useful material to use.
He gave students more than enough chances to get the most out of his class by offering all sorts of extra credit. And, again, it's great that he responds promptly to email.
He helped them out when asked
He offered his support and availability whenever needed.
he always keep us up to date on what was due and what we can do for extra credit points to be at the top of our game at all time.
care in different ways and encourage
He made sure that everyone was paying close attention to his lectures, and encouraged everyone to participate.
He always encouraged all students to go beyond and gave many opportunities.
He cares alot about what he teaches
he always was sure that the students knew about safety and cared about their health as well
he was always come around and check our work because he wants to know how we follow him
very nice and shows care by talking to them
He is one of the sweetest teachers I ever had. He always asks us if we understand and never gets fluster if we don't.
He always concerned to make the best students.
always had his time open to us, and asked at all times if we had any questions. and responded to email promptly
Helping students that needed help, gives advice on project outside of class, preparing everyone for tests so no one can really fail it.
Mr.G check his email and reply to the students very fast
Professor G is very helpful to all students. He is concerned with students well being and showed numerous instances where he provided assistance with helping students achieve the best they could at tests, presentations, and all around success with the class. He also provided students with many extra credit activities that were very beneficial. I thoroughly enjoyed learning and taking part in these opportunities and really appreciate Professor G exposing me to these events.
By being available in and out of the classroom. It's important for the students that the teachers are available through email if they have questions after class or during the weekend.
He showed it by informing us about missed exams
On the last day of class Professor Gazdar gave all the students the opportunity to present our final presentations in front of the class for extra credit. I sat through two hours of presentations only to be cut off and told that I couldn't present. When I asked why, Gazdar responded that I did not email him my presentation the following week. The following week I had the flu, and was unable to make it into class. I even tried to show Gazdar my doctors note, but he joked about himself being handicap saying that he was also sick too. I explained that I emailed him while I had the flu, and he didn't respond. He had nothing to say then. That day I was unable to present with a few others that he also yelled at and humiliated in front of others. Below is an email that I sent to Gazdar regarding the presentation: ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hello Professor, Attached is my presentation for Hawaii's beaches threatened by erosion and rising sea levels. I really wish you would have responded to my email last week while I was sick, because then I would have knew to email it to you in advance, so that I could present today. I feel that things were handled unfairly when it came down to the last few of us after we all patiently waited for everyone else. I also did not appreciate that you accused me of completing my presentation in class, and brushed off my sickness like it was a joke. On top of taking care of my mother with cancer, a recent car accident, and me getting sick I still managed to make it into class today just to be shoed away. I understand you are the professor, but personally I believe things could have been handled a lot better. Keep up Excellence. All the Best. Aloha. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Clearly, Gazdar has little concern for the well being of his students and for their personal lives.
Sending emails and staying around to answer questions.
He would ask students if they had any questions during the lecture. He would also offer extra credit to help students.
he emailing students and talking to them
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes he is fun and knowlegable
Yes, because he is a great teacher.
YES! one of the vest teachers in kcc
yes, he was a great teacher, knew what he was teaching and made class fun.
No. Very hard to follow what's going on.
Naturally, yes, I would. It is because his students can learn about Hawaiian geology, but not only that. Students can share their own personal stories or experiences with the class through the lecture and presentation. He provides a good atmosphere for learning, therefore, students can do that. It helps us easy to form many friendships. That's why his atmosphere is great.
I probably would not recommend him to other students because he was very hard to understand and his was just all over the place when he would present his powerpoints to the class. When he would come up with examples for us to understand a little better, it didn't really help; to me, it made it more confusing.
yes, cool class. The experience overall is enjoyable.
Mr. Gazdar is a good teacher. Mr. Gazdar wants every one of his students to pass his class and to be successful, and will help students with whatever they need help with in the class. I recommend this class.
Yes and no because he really is a great person, however, if a student really wants to learn the Geology field then no, its not a very clear and understandable course to learn from.
good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher
Yes, absolutely i really enjoyed his class
I would certainly recommend him to other students because, he is a very good instructor. He is very kind and friendly. He constantly remind us about homework, field-trips and tests, and extra credit opportunities, you can tell her really wants everyone to succeed.
Yes, I would recommend Mr. Gazdar to other students. He's a good instructor and his course is very interesting.
Yes, because hes a good teacher
Yes, overall is was a good class and allows students to learn the material in an easy way
yes! good fun and you don't only stay in class to work. He also informs you on other things at the museum that you can go to and learn more and if you do go to the museum on your own time you get extra credit points.
yes
I would definitely recommend Dr. G to everyone. His class was very informative.
Yes, because his class is very interesting.

Absolutely. Not only was Professor G a fun teacher that I learned a lot from, he was also very helpful and communicative for me with all questions or requests I had outside class.
Yes, the class material was very informative and Prof.G knew what he was talking about.
Yes, because he is an awesome teacher that cares about our studies.
I would not recommend Nasir Gazdar to other students because he was very unprofessional, and his lessons are very unorganized. I normally give the teachers the benefit of the doubt but this class was just to scattered everywhere for me.
Yes. I already have. He is so sweet and such a relaxed nice teacher. Not to much homework which is releeving making me want to put more effort into the class on my own.
Yes, he is very knowledgeable about the subject and is willing to help students understand the material.
yes, because his class is interesting
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
He is Ichiban Numero Uno #1
Thank you Dr.G! I didn't know Geology is very fun to learn.. because of you, we had a great time in the classroom.
dr. g is one of the finest teachers at KCC.
I like his personality and his lecture very much.
Although he was unorganized when presenting, he would make some jokes, and it would have the class laughing.
He is a good person
Honestly, Dr. G has a really great personality, funny, kind, encouraging, and smart in geology but he just needs to organize and change his teaching style.

I want to Thank You Dr. G for a great-fun semester. I have learned a lot from your class. Before your class there are things that I hear everyday (like Tsunami, Earthquakes and Volcanoes), but didn't really fully understand how the process worked. After your class I now have full understanding of its process and how they are all connected.
Hes a good teacher who likes his job
thanks a lot
He is over all a kind and interesting person
Thanks for teaching me!!
Ichiban
just thank you..GG
We love you Mr.G thanks for always making us smile and stay awake and being such a caring, loving, and sincere Host.
ICHIBAN teacher!
I will be ichiban, thanks you.
Professor G has been a great mentor throughout this semester. He graciously wrote numerous letters of recommendation for me that led to wonderful opportunities. For example, this summer I will be interning at the Department of Land and Natural Resources, his letters of recommendation were instrumental in me accomplishing this goal. I'm very grateful for all the support and guidance he has given to me inside and outside class.
He is awesome

18. Other comments:
I did not like presentation until taking his class. However, his encouragement and help made me positive, so I became the first student to do it in class. He helped my improvement. Thank you Doctor G.
Suggestions include, reorganizing his powerpoints and to really go one by one because he jumps around a lot during his lectures and it happens a lot through out the semester. Also, to let students know about their progress/grades because he does not really follow up when a student asks.
good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher good teacher ecafe is done!!!!!!!!!!! DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
Dr G is well educated in his field. He shows initiative and enthusiasm when teaching our class. Relates information to students.
Friendly
He repeats concepts for student to grasp them easier
He knows the subject area very well and has a real passion for teaching the class so the students may learn more about geology
he is so helpful, fun and his lecture is easy to understand.
Encouragement with our works and to do well with our studying.
Makes the class entertaining with jokes.
He knows the material he's teaching. He could probably teach in his sleep, that's how we'll he knows his stuff.
Dr.G is creative and uses several methods in teaching his students, because he knows that each student has his or her own learning style. For the lab, Dr.G would help each student by taking him and her through each step, until the assignment was completed and understood.
He is patient
He is very kind, caring, understanding, humorous, happy and helpful!
He is very very knowlegble.
He cares about the subject.
Nasir Gazdar's major strengths as a teacher is that he always comes to class. He never missed a day!
he always made class fun,and i enjoyed the way that we were able to learn the material. very interactive!!
The professor had organized and prepared for the lectures.
Man he knows his stuff. So knowledgeable very good teacher
Enthusiasm for the topic.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
I really enjoyed the labs in the first half of the semester where we tested the various rocks. I would suggest to have more of those labs in class because counting the small squares made my head hurt a little! haha.
nothing
None
be able to have some sort of schedule on what subject are to be learn more specifically.
sometime his class is unorganized so it made me confuse
A better syllabis.
Nothing.
I would like more "hands-on" work in his course. More field-trips around the island would also be beneficial to students' learning. If transportation is an issue, maybe someplace close, for example, a trip to Diamond Head Crater, Diamond Head Beach, and Waikiki.
none
It would be great if we could do more hands-on or interactive activities for our lab!
keep assignment points consistent.
I suggest that he would change his text book!
NONE
Organize lectures a little more, maybe more class discussion
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
He offered extra help and encouraged students participation in class as well as provided a relaxed learning environment.
Yes, He does.
He went through concept thoroughly so everyone understood
he constantly tells his students that they must study in order to pass his class which is general knowledge and common sense to most classes but he constantly reminds he students and does reviews that makes the class interact with one another instead of just straight powerpoint reviews
Every time he made sure every students are ok
hinting if we got it right or wrong.
Nothing much.
Always made sure his students were not falling behind.
He was always open to questions and encouraged students to try and perform at a 100% level. He tried to make jokes to keep class interesting and showed videos.
helps us when needed
Was willing to help in need and was very understanding, encouraging as well.
He always asked if we had any questions.
He replies to emails quickly and is fair regarding make-up assignments.
Nasir Gazdar shows concern towards his students when they are struggling and he is more then willing to help.
always available and a genuine concern!
If were doing bad in the course he would talk to us to see what was wrong
He had made good atmosphere during his lectures.
He would stop and talk to me on campus outside of class , always there to share his expertise
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
Yes. Dr G is awesome!!!!!
I do. He is super easy going and knows about Hawaiian geology a lots.
Yes good teacher
yes i would, but i would say you must seriously pay attention and take notes , though really cool teacher, subject is quite hard to understand.
yes, his class is useful and fun.
yes, so that other students can experience the learning that was given in the class.
Yes and no. As a person he is friendly but, when there is a subject that is understandable and ask him about it, sometimes does not teach us well. His class is more about studying by yourself.
Yes, he's very nice, sweet, understanding and knows his material very well. Best teacher ever
It depends on the student. He or she may not be interested in Geology. However, the lab is easier than the lecture. If a student is willing to learn and follows the instructor's instructions than or she should do fine. I would recommend taking at least Math 24 before taking this lab because we use some algebra, especially graphing.
yes he is great
YES! Makes me smile and happy! :)
Yes. His classe were always very plasant.
yes, he is reasonable and makes geology easy to understand.
Yes I would recommend Nasir Gazdar to other students because he really is a interesting individual. He is very funny!
i have and i will continue to!
Yes, I would, because the class was difficult but fun.
YES.. As long as you are the kind of person who goes to class and pays attention

Thank you so much helping me and i had a fun
Nothing.
He's awesome...
Thank you for the semester, Professor! ICHIBAN!!!
Thank you Dr. G for all you time and energy
thank you for being a big part of my KCC academic carrer.

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
-Knowledge of subject was present -used comedy to gain attention
He is creative and uses several teaching methods because he knows that each student has different learning styles.
funny
He gave us some opportunities to get extra credit.
he knows the subject very well.
He is a great supporter. He always gives us extra points for the efforts that we put in class. Also, he has all the materials for us to get ready for the test.
He knew the subject area well and was able to fully explain the subject with some jokes here and there.
He's easy going and tries to lighten the mood
He has teaching experience, He Knows what he is talking about, he has a passion for his subject, he has alot of time in geology, even though I don't agree with alot of what he says He is better then most.
He knows a lot about what he's teaching. He wants you to succeed in class and is willing to help.
He just unbealivable knowlegeble. A very authentic professor
He really cared for all of his students
He knows the material he's teaching very well. He has so much knowledge of what he's teaching, if you ask him a question relating to geology he will have the answer. Makes class fun to learn. He strives for the best.
When he teaches us new things in class he repeats the information many times so we remember it easier.
The professor had organized and prepared in order to provide good lecture.
He knows a lot about geology.
His personal understanding of the course material and professional expertise in the geologic sciences.
Mr. Gazdar tries his best to encourage students to do well on the test, however i had a difficult time understanding his lessons in class. There's a communication barrier, and i completely understand. Other than that, he likes to make students laugh (:
he is so helpful
He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and has easy methods for the students.
Professor G is very knowledgeable in the things he teaches. He is shows a genuine passion for the material he teaches. He also is great at making funny jokes, and encouraging students to really understand concepts.
knows alot about the industry very good teacher
He makes the class entertaining by making jokes.
He knew the subject area very well, but at times, as i student i did not know what he was talking about because i did not recognize in readings but some lectures do not include readings which could be my misunderstanding
He is nice to all the students :)
I believe his strength as a teacher is that he is passionate about what he is teaching to us. He seems more then glad to share his knowledge.
He really knows his subject and you can tell he's very passionate about it.
Dr G is able to relate to his students and make Geology interesting. He is very skilled and educated in his field and that shows through his lectures and labs.
Knows his volcanos:)
He was very nice and kind to his students and wanted everyone to succeed and make it through his class well. He was very understanding and helpful.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
not much
He needs office hours that are on "off class days." Sometimes his directions can be clearer. Students don't always understand, and sometimes he loses his patience. Power-points can be uploaded in a more timely fashion; there were times when he would only update the power-point slides just before an exam. If field-trips are not allowed, maybe he can take students around campus to show the students what different minerals, rocks, and effects such as chemical weathering look like.
n/a
none
I think he should makes all of his tests on paper because on the computer, the students can't really focus.
I would like to have more questionnaires in class about the subject. For example, after each slide, ask a question to the class.
Have organized powerpoints and go over the important things so students have a better idea of what to know.
Make the Studies and power points simple and summarized they are long and confusing they are not practical to memorize each slide is 70+ and most of the slides are useless it's excess information. He needs to be more patient and treat everyone equally.
Make a study guide for exams or make exams only based on things we went over in class.
Nada
None
explain better on topics.
No changes at this time.
Instead of having test in the library, test should be taken on laulima. More convenient for students and students will tend to do well on their own. Also, lecture shouldn't take forever every single day. Instead Mr. Gazdar should allow students interact with one another. (:
I want him to do more well organized class
None
Study Guides for test would be really helpful. Professor G provides so many different resources which can be a bit overwhelming when trying to study for an exam.
needs to speak a little bit more clearer
Nothing.
to notify students early on in the semester or before student take the course of what is needed and not needed for the class, such as, the text book, though required for the class from the library, it was later told it was no more than a reference book.
Lecture to be more interesting!
Suggest he changes his textbook
Speak more clearly.
A better syllabus may have helped me to understand the layout of the course, but I got it, eventually. :)
Nothing much!
15. How did the instructor show concern for students?
-Being comical to encourage -supportive of students -offers extra credit
During each lecture he would always ask if students had questions. he encouraged students to ask valuable questions and to think before they ask questions because he didn't want to waste class time with questions that he already answered in lecture or that a student can look-up for themselves. Dr. G also wanted everyone to pay attention in class so that they wouldn't become a distraction to other students. He was always willing to answer questions after class. In addition, he tries to give extra credit assignments inside and outside of class.
always available
no comment.
He makes sure we do our works on time and have good quality
He shows concern for his students by asking if they knew this or if they understood the material.
He had extra credit sources available and was open to email help.
Replies to e-mails, answers questions, personally I didn't feel to confident asking him a question in class, because of fear he might snap at me.
He was available to help them a lot and was very willing to help.
He always told us to talk to him if we had any questions
He had one on ones with student during ppts
He would ask how we are doing, and if we need any help he's here. Always made sure his students are not lost in his lecture.
He responded to emails very quickly. He also always asked if we had any questions on anything and if we were able to follow the things he taught us.
Any time, accepted Students' questions.

He continaully encouraged and reminded students that he wanted them to succeed in the class and provided several opportunities for participation and extra credit. He also made class lectures and other informational sources accessible online for student use.
he was welcome to answered question from all students
Class revisions and questions
He told us all the time that we need to study the information. He seemed a bit upset even at times when students did not have the answers to the questions that were being asked. He is a great teacher, and is knowlwedgable in the information he is teaching !
If we were doing bad in the course he would come talk to us to see what was wrong
ask questions
Nothing much.
he constantly asked the class if they all understood, and tried to explain things in multiple ways so that even the exchange students may understand the material as well
He shows concern by emailing students back.
He always encourages us to be number one.
He offered office hours and always responded promptly to e-mails.
He encouraged students' participation and showed concern for them to excel and do our assignments.
16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?
yes, he is a good instructor.
It depends on the student. There is very dry material which needs to be read repeatedly. Most of the homework assignments and answers to the exams come from his power-point presentations and not the lecture. High-lighting and taking thorough notes is a must, if a student wants to do well in his course. Also a power-point presentation of a topic chosen by the student is required. Students who don't like standing in front of people or who are shy, may find this assignment difficult to complete.
perfect
maybe.
Yes because he is a great professor that can lead the students to success in school.
I would recommend him to students that work well in lecture classes because personally, I would rather take a class with something hands-on.
I would because he means well and tries to make things funny. Although his presentations during the lectures are somewhat hard to understand.
No, Because It is not simple to get an A on his exams Basically you just sit in the class to hear him talk And I feel most of the questions on the test were not relevant to the study power points.
maybe, he's a very nice guy and encourages you to succeed, but his exams are kind of confusing and a little hard to do.
Yes. A great class
Yes good teacher
Yes, he's the best geology teacher ever. He is very sweet, funny, understanding and enjoys teaching his students. He makes class fun to learn and exciting.
Yes, he's a very good teacher and is very knowledgable about the geology in Hawaii. He also makes the class easy to learn.
Yes, I would, because his lectures were very clear.
I dont know, he has a really strong accent so its hard to understand him.
Yes, for his knowledge on both the scientific and practical relevance of geology and for his sincere desire to see his students succeed.
Only to students who needs to take geology class,if not find alternative natural science class.
yes. his class is so useful and he is so helpful
Yes, because he made geology fun for the class
Yes. He is a fair teacher. If you need help, and ask for it in a timely manner he gives good advice.
he has to atleast give us gradecheck because i dont even know if im doing good in this class
Yes and no. As a person he is friendly but, when there is a subject that is understandable and ask him about it, sometimes does not teach us well. His class is more about studying by yourself.
yes i would recommend, very fun and funny professor, though at times may get confusing on what he is talking about but overall a good professor and knows his subject area very well.
Yes, I would recommend other students to him because he is very funny.
Yes I would. He's a good teacher and is very likable.
YES. He is a nice teacher that only wants to see his students be ICHIBAN!
Yes!!! He is wonderful, kind, caring and a funny!!!
17. What else would you like to say about this instructor?
he's cool
Chat with him about Geology as much as you can outside of class, it will help your over-all course grade.
mahalo
He know what he is doing and he is very passion about teaching
I enjoyed how he had slides to visually show the students what happens in the earths surface.
He's cool
Good luck with your life, you need to be more patient, you were hastily with me, We didn't bond at all, teachers like you make school difficult, And with all honesty I didn't learn a thing. Every test I took I had to jump the gun I wasn't completely sure what I was doing, the power point slides were poorly made and had excess information that were not essential for me to retain. The extra credit opportunities were the only reason why I have a chance to pass. Thanks for that, Also, For the final You advise us to study 6 18 19 20 21 22 for final exam that is completely ridiculous, it is selfish, and unnecessary. If the Slides were made good this wouldn't be needed each slide is 70+ the most was at-least 100+ This is time consuming and I don't retain facts this way, How the Hell Am I supposed to Ace a test where the slides are irrelevant. God bless.
He deserves an award. He fulfills his job requirements and then some. I'm thank I got to have him as my teacher to learn from.
Good teacher, thank you!!

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?
geology
He is very knowledgeable about the class and topics discussed. Also encouraged student participation.
He is concerned about all students
He is sophisticated, diligent, and helpful.
His knowledge is professional.
He knew the subject area well, and he was intertaining. He kept us interested the whole semester.
Dr. G put lots of effort on his class to make learning more interesting and relatable. His effort showed in is detailed study tool such as his quiz game study guide as well as his examples and pictures of geological environments around Oahu. I could tell he mastered his knowledge in the subject and pushed for the class to become more involved and participate. It was also impressive on all the study aids Dr. G purchased such as all the maps, safety booklets, rock samples, ect. All those visual aids really helped me understand the concepts being taught. I also thought the tests were very fair and putting up all the power points of the lectures made it very easy to prepare myself for the exam. His power points were made very thoroughly and many examples are included so understanding that topic became easier.
He is very very knowlegable about the subject area
His attention to detail
His caring nature.
He always encourages students to study hard, and it works very well in and out of classroom. Also, he always comes to the classroom earlier and talks with students or prepares for classes. He is the No.1 teacher.
14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?
</
none
No changes.
No changes necessary.
Some times Dr. G went over concepts very very slowly. This was mostly due to the foreign students taking longer to understand english or the concepts. This left the other students waiting. Not really sure how to fix this problem since it is important for everyone to understand what is going on. Just thought I should mention it.
i think for the final more of the material that will be covered should be discussed more in class
