13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

He knows the subject area very well and has a real passion for teaching the class so the students may learn more about geology Dr G is well educated in his field. He shows initiative and enthusiasm when teaching our class. Relates information to students. he is so helpful, fun and his lecture is easy to understand. He repeats concepts for student to grasp them easier Encouragement with our works and to do well with our studying. Makes the class entertaining with jokes. Friendly He knows the material he's teaching. He could probably teach in his sleep, that's how we'll he knows his stuff. Dr.G is creative and uses several methods in teaching his students, because he knows that each student has his or her own learning style. For the lab, Dr.G would help each student by taking him and her through each step, until the assignment was completed and understood. He is very very knowlegble. He is patient Enthusiasm for the topic. The professor had organized and prepared for the lectures. he always made class fun,and i enjoyed the way that we were able to learn the material. very interactive!! Nasir Gazdar's major strengths as a teacher is that he always comes to class. He never missed a day! Man he knows his stuff. So knowledgeable very good teacher He cares about the subject. He is very kind, caring, understanding, humorous, happy and helpful!

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

be able to have some sort of schedule on what subject are to be learn more specifically. I really enjoyed the labs in the first half of the semester where we tested the various rocks. I would suggest to have more of those labs in class because counting the small squares made my head hurt a little! haha. sometime his class is unorganized so it made me confuse None A better syllabis. Nothing. nothing I would like more "hands-on" work in his course. More field-trips around the island would also be beneficial to students' learning. If transportation is an issue, maybe someplace close, for example, a trip to Diamond Head Crater, Diamond Head Beach, and Waikiki. none NONE I suggest that he would change his text book! Organize lectures a little more, maybe more class discussion keep assignment points consistent. It would be great if we could do more hands-on or interactive activities for our lab!

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

he constantly tells his students that they must study in order to pass his class which is general knowledge and common sense to most classes but he constantly reminds he students and does reviews that makes the class interact with one another instead of just straight powerpoint reviews He offered extra help and encouraged students participation in class as well as provided a relaxed learning environment. Every time he made sure every students are ok He went through concept thoroughly so everyone understood hinting if we got it right or wrong. Nothing much. Yes, He does. Always made sure his students were not falling behind. He was always open to questions and encouraged students to try and perform at a 100% level. He tried to make jokes to keep class interesting and showed videos. He always asked if we had any questions. helps us when needed He had made good atmosphere during his lectures. always available and a genuine concern! Nasir Gazdar shows concern towards his students when they are struggling and he is more then willing to help. He would stop and talk to me on campus outside of class , always there to share his expertise If were doing bad in the course he would talk to us to see what was wrong He replies to emails quickly and is fair regarding make-up assignments. Was willing to help in need and was very understanding, encouraging as well.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

yes i would, but i would say you must seriously pay attention and take notes , though really cool teacher, subject is quite hard to understand. Yes. Dr G is awesome!!!!! yes, his class is useful and fun. Yes good teacher yes, so that other students can experience the learning that was given in the class. Yes and no. As a person he is friendly but, when there is a subject that is understandable and ask him about it, sometimes does not teach us well. His class is more about studying by yourself. I do. He is super easy going and knows about Hawaiian geology a lots. Yes, he's very nice,sweet,understanding and knows his material very well. Best teacher ever It depends on the student. He or she may not be interested in Geology. However, the lab is easier than the lecture. If a student is willing to learn and follows the instructor's instructions than or she should do fine. I would recommend taking at least Math 24 before taking this lab because we use some algebra, especially graphing. Yes. His classe were always very plasant. yes he is great Yes, I would, because the class was difficult but fun. i have and i will continue to! Yes I would recommend Nasir Gazdar to other students because he really is a interesting individual. He is very funny! YES.. As long as you are the kind of person who goes to class and pays attention yes, he is reasonable and makes geology easy to understand. YES! Makes me smile and happy! :)

13. What are the instructor's major strengths as a teacher?

he knows the subject very well. -Knowledge of subject was present -used comedy to gain attention The professor had organized and prepared in order to provide good lecture. He is a great supporter. He always gives us extra points for the efforts that we put in class. Also, he has all the materials for us to get ready for the test. funny He has teaching experience, He Knows what he is talking about, he has a passion for his subject, he has alot of time in geology, even though I don't agree with alot of what he says He is better then most. He's easy going and tries to lighten the mood He is creative and uses several teaching methods because he knows that each student has different learning styles. He just unbealivable knowlegeble. A very authentic professor He knows a lot about what he's teaching. He wants you to succeed in class and is willing to help. He knows the material he's teaching very well. He has so much knowledge of what he's teaching, if you ask him a question relating to geology he will have the answer. Makes class fun to learn. He strives for the best. He knew the subject area well and was able to fully explain the subject with some jokes here and there. He gave us some opportunities to get extra credit. He knows a lot about geology. When he teaches us new things in class he repeats the information many times so we remember it easier. He really cared for all of his students He is nice to all the students :) He makes the class entertaining by making jokes. Professor G is very knowledgeable in the things he teaches. He is shows a genuine passion for the material he teaches. He also is great at making funny jokes, and encouraging students to really understand concepts. Dr G is able to relate to his students and make Geology interesting. He is very skilled and educated in his field and that shows through his lectures and labs. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and has easy methods for the students. Mr. Gazdar tries his best to encourage students to do well on the test, however i had a difficult time understanding his lessons in class. There's a communication barrier, and i completely understand. Other than that, he likes to make students laugh (: He really knows his subject and you can tell he's very passionate about it. He knew the subject area very well, but at times, as i student i did not know what he was talking about because i did not recognize in readings but some lectures do not include readings which could be my misunderstanding knows alot about the industry very good teacher he is so helpful Knows his volcanos:) I believe his strength as a teacher is that he is passionate about what he is teaching to us. He seems more then glad to share his knowledge. His personal understanding of the course material and professional expertise in the geologic sciences. He was very nice and kind to his students and wanted everyone to succeed and make it through his class well. He was very understanding and helpful.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

none not much I think he should makes all of his tests on paper because on the computer, the students can't really focus. n/a Make the Studies and power points simple and summarized they are long and confusing they are not practical to memorize each slide is 70+ and most of the slides are useless it's excess information. He needs to be more patient and treat everyone equally. Have organized powerpoints and go over the important things so students have a better idea of what to know. He needs office hours that are on "off class days." Sometimes his directions can be clearer. Students don't always understand, and sometimes he loses his patience. Power-points can be uploaded in a more timely fashion; there were times when he would only update the power-point slides just before an exam. If field-trips are not allowed, maybe he can take students around campus to show the students what different minerals, rocks, and effects such as chemical weathering look like. Nada Make a study guide for exams or make exams only based on things we went over in class. I would like to have more questionnaires in class about the subject. For example, after each slide, ask a question to the class. explain better on topics. None Lecture to be more interesting! Nothing. Study Guides for test would be really helpful. Professor G provides so many different resources which can be a bit overwhelming when trying to study for an exam. A better syllabus may have helped me to understand the layout of the course, but I got it, eventually. :) None Instead of having test in the library,test should be taken on laulima. More convenient for students and students will tend to do well on their own. Also, lecture shouldn't take forever every single day. Instead Mr. Gazdar should allow students interact with one another. (: Speak more clearly. to notify students early on in the semester or before student take the course of what is needed and not needed for the class, such as, the text book, though required for the class from the library, it was later told it was no more than a reference book. needs to speak a little bit more clearer I want him to do more well organized class Suggest he changes his textbook No changes at this time. Nothing much!

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

no comment. -Being comical to encourage -supportive of students -offers extra credit Any time, accepted Students' questions. He makes sure we do our works on time and have good quality always available Replies to e-mails, answers questions, personally I didn't feel to confident asking him a question in class, because of fear he might snap at me. He had extra credit sources available and was open to email help. During each lecture he would always ask if students had questions. he encouraged students to ask valuable questions and to think before they ask questions because he didn't want to waste class time with questions that he already answered in lecture or that a student can look-up for themselves. Dr. G also wanted everyone to pay attention in class so that they wouldn't become a distraction to other students. He was always willing to answer questions after class. In addition, he tries to give extra credit assignments inside and outside of class. He always told us to talk to him if we had any questions He was available to help them a lot and was very willing to help. He would ask how we are doing, and if we need any help he's here. Always made sure his students are not lost in his lecture. He shows concern for his students by asking if they knew this or if they understood the material. n/a He responded to emails very quickly. He also always asked if we had any questions on anything and if we were able to follow the things he taught us. He had one on ones with student during ppts Nothing much. He told us all the time that we need to study the information. He seemed a bit upset even at times when students did not have the answers to the questions that were being asked. He is a great teacher, and is knowlwedgable in the information he is teaching ! He offered office hours and always responded promptly to e-mails. Class revisions and questions He always encourages us to be number one. he constantly asked the class if they all understood,and tried to explain things in multiple ways so that even the exchange students may understand the material as well ask questions he was welcome to answered question from all students He shows concern by emailing students back. If we were doing bad in the course he would come talk to us to see what was wrong He continaully encouraged and reminded students that he wanted them to succeed in the class and provided several opportunities for participation and extra credit. He also made class lectures and other informational sources accessible online for student use. He encouraged students' participation and showed concern for them to excel and do our assignments.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

maybe. yes, he is a good instructor. Yes, I would, because his lectures were very clear. Yes because he is a great professor that can lead the students to success in school. perfect No, Because It is not simple to get an A on his exams Basically you just sit in the class to hear him talk And I feel most of the questions on the test were not relevant to the study power points. I would because he means well and tries to make things funny. Although his presentations during the lectures are somewhat hard to understand. It depends on the student. There is very dry material which needs to be read repeatedly. Most of the homework assignments and answers to the exams come from his power-point presentations and not the lecture. High-lighting and taking thorough notes is a must, if a student wants to do well in his course. Also a power-point presentation of a topic chosen by the student is required. Students who don't like standing in front of people or who are shy, may find this assignment difficult to complete. Yes. A great class maybe, he's a very nice guy and encourages you to succeed, but his exams are kind of confusing and a little hard to do. Yes, he's the best geology teacher ever. He is very sweet, funny, understanding and enjoys teaching his students. He makes class fun to learn and exciting. I would recommend him to students that work well in lecture classes because personally, I would rather take a class with something hands-on. I dont know, he has a really strong accent so its hard to understand him. Yes, he's a very good teacher and is very knowledgable about the geology in Hawaii. He also makes the class easy to learn. Yes good teacher Yes and no. As a person he is friendly but, when there is a subject that is understandable and ask him about it, sometimes does not teach us well. His class is more about studying by yourself. Yes. He is a fair teacher. If you need help, and ask for it in a timely manner he gives good advice. YES. He is a nice teacher that only wants to see his students be ICHIBAN! Yes, because he made geology fun for the class Only to students who needs to take geology class,if not find alternative natural science class. Yes I would. He's a good teacher and is very likable. yes i would recommend, very fun and funny professor, though at times may get confusing on what he is talking about but overall a good professor and knows his subject area very well. he has to atleast give us gradecheck because i dont even know if im doing good in this class yes. his class is so useful and he is so helpful Yes, I would recommend other students to him because he is very funny. Yes, for his knowledge on both the scientific and practical relevance of geology and for his sincere desire to see his students succeed. Yes!!! He is wonderful, kind, caring and a funny!!!

he's cool Good teacher, thank you!! He know what he is doing and he is very passion about teaching mahalo Good luck with your life, you need to be more patient, you were hastily with me, We didn't bond at all, teachers like you make school difficult, And with all honesty I didn't learn a thing. Every test I took I had to jump the gun I wasn't completely sure what I was doing, the power point slides were poorly made and had excess information that were not essential for me to retain. The extra credit opportunities were the only reason why I have a chance to pass. Thanks for that, Also, For the final You advise us to study 6 18 19 20 21 22 for final exam that is completely ridiculous, it is selfish, and unnecessary. If the Slides were made good this wouldn't be needed each slide is 70+ the most was at-least 100+ This is time consuming and I don't retain facts this way, How the Hell Am I supposed to Ace a test where the slides are irrelevant. God bless. He's cool Chat with him about Geology as much as you can outside of class, it will help your over-all course grade. He deserves an award. He fulfills his job requirements and then some. I'm thank I got to have him as my teacher to learn from. I enjoyed how he had slides to visually show the students what happens in the earths surface. n/a Nothing. He is really funny ! All the different resources he provides really does help to get an understanding of the major concepts. A study guide for exams would be really helpful. Best science teacher I've had in a while. I hate science so for him to make it interesting enough for me is a miracle. I enjoyed this class! He is dedicated, proffesional and helpful none Nothing at this time. Thank you for the semester! More sample work. This requires tools and lab materials which cost money I am assuming. We couldn't test things out like in a real lab, so everything is on paper. It still gives us the idea, but a lab should be more hands on. None maybe some exercise would be challenging Nothing try to make the class easier to understand. I don't think any change that I suggest to Dr. Gazdar. He provided us anything that we need to study. . Just to be more clear in telling us exactly what were going to be doing. Get yourself organized. None none This lab was rather boring. I guess he has a ciriculum to follow though. Not to have the lab so late I suggest that you show the cause and effects of certain volcanoes and earthquakes had on certain civieslizations. N/A none. The only issue I had with this class is If students are paying lab fees, where is the lab fee going, the instructor paid for material that should be paid for with our lab fees and for samples of minerals, rocks, etc. If part of the curriculum is mineral Identification or actually testing minerals then why does the instructor have to pay for materials provided.

He cares about every student and explains about content very well. his knowlege of the material and his concern for the students Thorough in his approach to geology Honestly, he was the best teacher I've had during my two years at KCC. His best attribute was clear from the beginning, at this is he cares about each and everyone of his students. He treated everyone fairly, and went at a fair pace for our foreign students. Our field trip was absolutly amazing, and well worth going to school on a Saturday. He made sure we knew the information we were going over, before heading to the next chapter. Besides that, he really is a professional in his topic. I was pretty amazed with the information he knew without having to read from a book. He is very wise.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

No changes. Perhaps more concise powerpoints. none n/a spend time showing things out He is a really easy-going teacher. It is good but I think he sometimes should give warming to naughty students. I saw some students were talking on their cell-phones. It was bothering me in the lecture. none get the school to fund some field trips for us so we dont have to pay none Nothing worth mentioning, everything went pretty well.

15. How did the instructor show concern for students?

He encouraged learning outside the realms of the class. Field trips, outside talks and lectures... not showing too much about the tsunami b/c of the japan students His materials are very simple to understand very well he had funny power points He encourage all students always. He said to all students "you should write down anything you think on the paper" at exam day. He wanted us to write something then give us some points. he made sure that material was provided to ensure retention of material covered. he gives extra credit or some kind of opportunity to raise our grades. He walks around and talks to everyone. he helped anyone when needed Absolutely, more than any other teacher I've ever had!

Yes. Refer to question 13 yes, i learned a lot Absolutely. As the evidence, some of my friends have already resisted his class for FALL. Yes. because he knows his stuff He is a nice teacher. He knows Hawaiian geologic information. I recommend his class to students who want to know Hawaiian Islands more. Yes I would, due to his ability to cover material and be able to retain material. He passed around a lot of items so we could examine things for ourselves. I think that helps keep students engaged. I appreciate Dr. Gazar because he gave us nice opportunity and activity. I enjoyed his class very much.He is Ichiban. He does care about his students, and he's very supportive. He treats his students fairly with lots of concerns. He always wants to provide better way of learning such as field trips, and gives us a lot of information regarding this field(including degrees in UH, and further studies). He made sure everyone filled out the assignments correctly every time, and enticed participation with extra credit. Professor Gazdar knows his field well. He creates interesting and comfortable atmosphere for learning. He also gave opportunity for all of the students to speak and participate in the activity. He knows how to teach people in this subject He' a great teacher. He's a nice teacher and willing to help students. cares for students always show related video, poster and other stuff. He gave us several extra credit opportunities which was very helpful. He paid for lab materials and a field trip for us out of his own pocket. He wanted every students to speak and participate in the class. He was very supportive for those who needed help. he was nece to everyone by the great way. He's willing to help students after class and via email if any questions. by talking Helped outside of class. Not only is he an excellent teacher, he also makes our loooooong lab class enjoyable. We got to look at many rocks and minerals and perform acid and scratch tests. We went on a walking field trip to the kaimuki lave dome which was really interesting. He genuinely cares about all his students offering lots of extra help and always making sure were understand his lectures.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

Yes especially taking his lecture and lab together. He'll make sure you'll pass. Yes I would recommend Professor Gazdar to students because he is a master at his field and because he requires every student to participate so you actually do learn the study. He is also just simply a nice person and has an excellent characteristic as a teacher. definetely yes he is very funny and nie YES. Yes, off course! He's class is easy to get an A, make sure you come to class daily and take note. Everything will be ok. Yes I recommend him because he is a great instructor and you will learn so many things in his class. He is very kind teacher. Very knowledgeable. I would definately recommend him to students. He is an smart, excellent, and caring professor.

Very nice teacher, was very encouraging and optimistic, and told students that they are "ichiban," or "the best." He gives so many extra-credit points. He also always feeds his students. Muhammad Gazdar's major strengths were that he knew what was being taught very well. He made it fun to learn. I love to him. He is a awesome teacher because he can make us interest science. Has a tendency to go overtime, which was fine for me but not for other students who had other commitments after class. None It would be nice if we had engaged in some kind of group work. He always answered any questions we had and told us that if we ever needed extra help we could contact him. he made sure that we understood what was being taught. he also made sure that we never sat in class on an empty stomach. He constantly asked if anyone had any questions or needed any extra help. He was there to help us. He treated fairly to local students and international students. Nothing special. He's always available via email and help students after class. He encouraged everyone to study; took a personal interest in our lives and well-being by talking He would constantly ask us if we "follow that" meaning if we understood what he said. He offered to stay after class to help anyone who needed help. He gave us snacks because some of us took his lecture and lab which ran right through lunch (11-340)He paid for us to go to bishop museum so we could better understand volcanoes. He had a researcher come in an explain to us more on sea level rise and beach erosion. He took us to the kaimuki lave dome and had us do a worksheet.

16. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

He tried to get involved all students. Yes i would because he obviously cares about whether or not we are learning anything. yes, I would recommend Dr. G to students because he is a great instructor and he make the learning environment very fun. I would highly recommend because he knew the course material and how to teach it in an interesting manner. defenitely yes he is really good teacher. Absolutely YES. Yes, off course! I would recomment Muhhammad Gazdar to students. His class is very easy to get an A, make sure you should attend class daily, and take notes. Yes because I could learn lots of information of geology. Yes. Honestly, I think Geology is a boring subject to study to most of students unless they are so enthusiastic about geology, but I do recommend this class to other students. Because throughout this course, I was able to learn not only basic geological concepts, but also, more importantly, learned about natural disasters and how to be prepared for them. That is really crucial information for everyone who lives in this world. Yes! He is a really good teacher who is passionate about geology and passing on his knowledge. yes I recommend Dr,G because the student who will take this class will learn many things and he is a great instructor so. Definately. Up until I took his class, I hated science. I always felt it was boring and very useless as I wouldn't be using any of the info in my future. Now that I took his class, I enjoy learning about geology and I now know how important it really is. In fact I did recommend him to one of my friends who needs to take science and lab.

He has a rough accent but he always tries to explain in a different way until we understand it my answers is the same as the last geology survey on Dr Gazdar Professor Gazdar's major strengths are his knowledge of the subject area and his passion for it. He also has real and genuine concern for his students and he takes his work seriously; but at the same time he is helpful to his students. He is very thourough in providing accurate information to his students so that we can understand the information. Same as GG103 lecture class. He knows the subject very well, and is very helpful. knows the subject well, makes learning fun, funny guy. . good Nothing special he strived students to be the best When we go through personal issues he is very understanding and shows genuine care and concern. I had to miss many classes for personal loss and his concern and helpfulness to help me stay on track helped me tremendously. Another example is during a video he showed in class one of the students was crying because of the recent events in Japan. He comforted her and took her outside to talk to her. He didn't brush her off; but instead took care of the situation right away and understood that she had to leave the classroom same with lecture class comment Repeating what he says until everyone gets it. ya always gave you opportunities, if you didn't take advantage of them, your fault. Answered students questions about the subject matter promptly. Same review in conjunction with GG 103. excellent Yes, but a few students made it hard for him to continue because of the interuptions. He stopped it each time however. yes He tells the students what's wrong or right. always talked to us personally asked us about our progress in class.

Get to learn some history and important information about Hawaii and volcanoes!! He knew geology very well and relate it to a lot of everyday things we do. He explains the subject quite well and it's easy to understand geology even though it's a tedious, hard, and not the most interesting subject. very informative He know much information about Hawaiian giology, and he gives interesting knowledge for us. Very familiar with the subject matter. Uses humor to keep the class engaged. Knows the subject very well Professor Gazdar is very humorous which encouraged me to deepened my study and participation. He was also very helpful to students outside of class and even to those who are not currently enrolled in his cource. I felt that he really cared about his students. He knows the area very well and I can understand him even though English is not his first language. His knowledge on the subject. He is soo enthusiastic about geology! He lives and breathes it! Good Job! he is friendly He made geology interesting and used humor to enjoy the learning process. He took the time to explain to students what they should do to improve their grades in the class and he was willing to give us an oppourtunity to learn more of the material in class and outside of the classroom. Keep things the way they were. none Nothing. Do not change a thing. none, he's been doing it forever now! wise man Grade checks if possible after major exams to know how we're doing in class. I wished that his test could be clear in words. I couldn't understand what the question was sometimes. No changes. Let the students talk to the teacher. none none NO thing really has to change in his teaching skills, he helped us alot in class and was willing to email us about any updates for the class and the news around the world. none n/a hands on learning activaties . He always check up on our progress if he notice we're not attending his classes often. meets the students needs He always asks me about that I can understand or not. Always available and willing to help students who want extra help. By repeatedly telling students to participate in everything in class and on field trips and visits to the museum. ya always gave you opportunities, if you didn't take advantage of them, your fault. Answered questions about the subject matter promptly. He is always telling the students to keep up with their assignments and if any assignment is missing he'd find time to give the student a late make up for the assignment. He gave out snacks during the class. Always pushed us to be "Ichiban" always strived for us to get an A! he always told students to strive to be the best We have Japanese students in our class. And he helped participated and gave us the opportunity to participate to donate to Japan. He was the only teacher that offered that. He was available in email and he responded in a quick manner. He was happy with us as long as we were willing to listen in class and learn something. He is a very patient teacher. Yes. It's a great course and teaches you a lot about the aina we live in. good teacher I really want to recommend to take this class all students!! Yes, he is passionate about his course material. Yes, he is a very intelligent man, and he teaches very well. ya, may be hard to understand sometime, but great subject and class. Get to learn some history and important information about Hawaii and volcanoes!! I would recommend Professor Gazdar to students because his class is very enjoyable and I felt that the class was very tight with each other. I believe that it was because of the atmosphere of the class Professor Gazdar creates in the class. He use examples to clear his teachings. Yes, because he's class is simple. All you have to do is listen to his lectures and take notes then you will be able to pass the class. No. His teaching method is not motivating for the students. Yes! He is hillarious, and knows his subject matter good. he is very friendly Yes, because you will actually learn something. Yes, because he will take the time to explain to us about what to do in class and how we can learn outside of the class room, like going to the Bishop Museum. Yes, he is a good teacher and you learn a lot from his class! yes because he is such a sweet and nice teacher yes because he teaches the subject very well . I guess so. As far as Geology goes, he knows his stuff, it is sometimes hard to understand him sometimes though. great

Ichiban! Haha, super funny guy and the kindest person I met. I'll miss him. Nothing. He is the nicest teacher ever! He sends a lot of emails, but now a days with technology and emails going to your phone, we had a tsunami warning and got his email, he will SAVE someone's life one day because of that. He's a very good professor. Thank you! thank you for being a great teacher It was great that he encouraged class participation, and gave praises where it was do, and was very hands on. There was always visual items, like sand, rocks, maps, etc, that he used to show us what he was talking about. That really helped out a lot. He's a very good teacher. He is always willing to help students in need and is patient with them. He takes the time to explain everything we have to know and helps us alot to prepare for the tests. . He's alright. great

Nope. Thank you very much for teaching us. I really enjoyed learning about Hawaiian giology in this class. If I have a chance to take your LAB class, I really want to take the class! You are ICHIBAN! You cannot feel too sorry for student that you let them have their friend help them during exams. i think it is unfair that some Japanese student took the exams with their friend because you say they don't know English. If they don't know English then they should not be taking the classes that require English proficiency. That is not fair to them or the other students. thank you ^^ Thank you great

Very smart, caring for the students, and is enthusiastic! His knowledge of the subject area Dr. G is a fantastic teacher! He encourages students to participate in class activities which help us better understand the geology of our Hawaiian islands. He is very knowledgeable in his subject area he is like an encyclopedia! His method of teaching is incredible! He uses humor to captivate his students into the geological mindset! He is very understanding and waits on you, he makes sure you get the information he's teaching before going forward. He also tries many approaches in ways to teach students because we all learn differently. the ability to create a fun environment to learn Knowledge in subject and keeping the class focused. He is able to keep his classes interesting. Truly an experienced teacher. clear and concise instructor, also repeats subject matter so students can grasp easily Very good professor!!!! He made learning easy and fun! No changes at all, great work! None what so ever. none answer students questions more clearly. Sometimes students ask questions and the answer he give is not so clear or is irrelevant to the question. none NONE! He is GREAT! nothing More field trips to other interesting places. none NONE HE IS ICHIBON!!!! He provides a lot of information in the power points that he shows in class, but my suggestion is that he should be more systematic in their presentation and do less of jumping back and forth over the materials. I also suggest that he has a list with certain requirements to grade students when they give their power point assignment. There is no standard set when every student gets the same number of points for every presentation, regardless of whether it was a presentation that was well done with relevant research, material and time put into the project, or whether it was a presentation put together with 10 slides or less, very little information, and just thrown together with little thought or effort. The class gets the idea that anything goes! No changes no needed any changes. i enjoyed his lab. That he would teach more classes

He always looked around class to see if anyone had questions, and would answer them. He helped peopel out in class Other than talking to us personally, he would also take the time to email and make sure we get on the ball! He is so cool, kind, and concerning. yes, my grandma passed away early this semester and he was understanding for my missing of class and let me make up my assignments. yes always making him self accessible outside of class. making sure we have the correct / accurate information. always had snacks for students, especially those who looked like they were tired from a long day He was always available for additional help. He did, he also encouraged me to enroll in his enviromental studies class at HCC. I think he sees my interests in geology and thinks that i could doo well in his enviromental studies class. By informing the students that they needed to do better in certain areas. by telling us what was important and telled me to study harder He made sure to tell students to study to participate and gave alot of encouragement in class and by email. He shows that he wants as many students as possible to do well in his class. He provides the class with good handouts, printed material and power point lectures so that we have a lot of information available to us, without having to spend money on buying textbooks. Talk to them and ask if they need help he went to each group or desk asking if we understand and if we are following through. he would help with patience to studnets. he was very leniant when a student had a problem referring to the class He would always ask the international students if they needed translation, and would always ask us if he were speaking too fast and what not.

OF COURSE!!! His class is fantastic!! It's also really fun because I like his similies and his comparisons for the different subjects and terms for Geology class Sure, Funny teacher, he never fails to make me laugh In the words of Shirley Temple and Alice Faye in the old film Poor Little Rich Girl, "Most Definitely!" Yes, he is one of the best teachers at Kapiolani community College. Its hard to find passionate teachers now days. yes. YES, i enjoyed his class very much. The class being so interesting and fun to me, it was a break from my other class. You learn a lot of interesting things about Hawaii and volcanoes that you never knew. ICHIBAN! Yes, because he really really cares about his students. sure! pass in the love. Yes for he makes the class fun and enjoyable. yes because of the good atmophere in the class that he gives YES!!! he is one of those rare teachers who is more concerned for his students than his pay check. I would recommend him because he is knowledgeable, he gives out relevant material for the course, he is kind and caring, and he gives all the students many chances to succeed in his class. Yes because in the class hes very funny and you are able to learn about the land in Hawaii yes, take his course and the lab. i would recommend gazard because he works for hard with his everyhday lesson plan and he makes the course fun. yes, because its a fun and interesting class. examples are easy to understand and related to current events. Yes, because he genuinely cares for his students.

Gonna miss Dr. G! Very fun guy, and is always encouraging students to learn! Thanks! He is "Ichiban!" He's knowledgeable of Geology. very nice and concerns for the students Great teacher! numero uno! That he is one of the most patient and heart warming teacher i have met. His is a genuinely nice professor with the knowledge to boot. thank you He is the man, he is very compasionate and knows what he is talking about! and one of the most inspiering teachers I have ever met at KCC, I did not know people like him were still around, truly amazing teacher. His kind personality is also shown when he often gives snacks like rice crackers, Quaker oat bars or candy to the class, because it is evening and he doesn't want the students to get hungry. He also treated us to pizza before the end of the semester. I think we can tell that he cares for his students. When we had the field trip to Waikiki Aquarium, we did not have to pay because we went under the UH student banner, and when we went to Bishop Museum to see the Volcano Hotspot demonstration, we went on Family Sunday which is when we get a good discount on the entrance fee. Those who went got extra credit and he thanked us for going! Thank you for all the knowledge I have gained from your class! He is ICHIBAN!!

he knew his subject area very well. he knew a lot about the hawaiian islands. Provides a lot of material through power points, laulima and class handouts. In this way we do not need to buy the text book. His major strength is his caring attitude towards students, and he is very approachable. He is a very funny, interesting person. He knows a lot about his topic and makes it very easy to understand. His greatest skill is interaction, even if you get the answer wrong he makes you feel alright about it. Dr. G knows Geology very well and he makes sure he explains the materials concise with a little bit of humor! awesome. same as the other evaluation for his lab. Good power-points. I love his teaching method. Dr. G. makes sure to be repetitive with the subject matter without making it boring. I learned so much because of how he would mix up his teaching methods. He would involve us when teaching and asked us to come up to the computer and solve random quizzes. He was so knowledgeable and was very clear with what he said. I really learned a lot. He is very kind teacher. -Responsible -Hard working - Caring -Smart He is very great.Teaches very well and also very understanding. His class was very fun and I really enjoyed and learned alot this semester. hi patients Knowledge in subject and keeping the class focused. He is able to keep his classes interesting. I didn't think I'd enjoy the class and was only taking it for a science credit, but owners up enjoying the greatly. That was all thanks to Dr. G. He is a great PhD. He has really large stock of knowledge. Knowledgable for what he does. His class was interesting because of his GG knowledge. kind friendly funny just telling us what is important He had many! Made learning so clear! I learned so much! I hated geology until this class! He really cares about his students. He has a passion for students to know about Geology and succed! As a teacher, Doctor Gazdar really knows his materials which makes it easier to work with us students. He always answers any questions we have. Knows his subject matter. He is very knowledgable and is a very nice teacher. He explains things very well and helps students when they need it. Very knowledgeable on the subject. Tries to keep the class interesting. great teacher, makes the class fun and interesting. helpful and encouraging he knows geology very well. as if hes been teaching for many many years He makes easy and interesting for us to learn. Very encouraging and helpful to all the students. He also knew the subjects of studies in geology. He explained objectives so well; I will have to say he has been my best teacher ever!!!! He adapts to all students needs and I am happy to know IO get to take another class with him.

14. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

when he send us the powerpoints of the day through laulima. he should have it organized in in folders like this is for exam 1 then from these power points these are for exam 2. His kindness can sometimes be a disadvantage because some students feel they can go and ask many concessions, and he tends to give them. My suggestion is that he should set some boundaries. In this way, the students who are conscientious and stay within guidelines will not be in the same category as those who are late or behind in their work. These are students who do not put in much effort, but get graded just as well as others. Of course, the only difference would be the scoring for the exams, which is scanned through the computer, so that means that is graded fairly. Try to be more aggressive over students because they do tend to take advantage of him. No changes to him...well maybe more field trips in! :) none what so ever. Nothing. I loved his class. There were some international students from Japan that always sat in the back and would talk like crazy played on there computers and so disrespectful even when people were giving their performances. I think that Dr. G couldnt really hear them so clearly but I wish they would have been stopped. I think it may be because they weren't as audible to the very front of the class where Dr. Taught. Please remember each student name. nope. Nothing. nothing answer students questions more clearly. Sometimes students ask questions and the answer he give is not so clear or is irrelevant to the question. Nothing really. He is good. He knows his stuff and loves teaching it. He is ichiban. None Please remember our face and name. no need read the other one NOTHING! NONE I don't want him to change. He's really good. Have reviews for the tests because there is so much information that is given in the weeks before the exam. maybe encourage more class participation. he showed great concern. he always motivated us. he helped us if we were confused. he was very caring. great teacher. Gives many chances, and also is considerate and kind towards everyone in class. He would ask if the student is all right if something is wrong. He tries to understand people. He makes sure we understand the material by letting us participate and always be ready with questions. Email and talk to them. Talked to student out side of class. He has an amazing memory because even whenI had missed one class, as soon as I came to the very next class he remembered that I didn't come to last class and first thing was that he would come and bring me what ever hand outs that I missed. I noticed this with other students before that missed class. I really thought he was so considerate and ofcourse I think his memory is really sharp. I really felt that he cared about his students in general that attended his classes. He gave pizza. ask them how they are doing and if they need help. He would make sure that we all did our projects and he always reminded us of our test coming up. by being very clear in his teachings. always making him self accessible outside of class. making sure we have the correct / accurate information. He always tell us that how study is important. He kept in touch via email and encouraged us to paricipate in class. hes so friendly every students likes him read the one He was always available if you need extra help. and he was so sweet about it. made sure to email students and talk to them if they had missed class. He always lets us know how we're doing in class and he always makes study guides for us so we can pass. Answers emails promptly. He answered questions in class and also responded to emails they day they were sent out. he was available in his office almost all the time, and was always willing to clarify whatever needed further understanding. encourages students participation. gives opportunities to help us get a better understanding of class. encouraged students to study more and do their projects Always asked if he needed to repeat something or if he was speaking loudly enough. He would always ask anyone had questions, and was available after class for one on one question and answer session. He instatntly stoppped if a student had a question and was able to continue where he stoppped prior to.

yes i would very much recommend gazdar to students because he knew about the course and taught it very well. he is also very funny. i enjoyed him as a teacher and as a person. great teacher. Yes. Students have a good chance to do well in this course. Study material is given, and students can get help from the instructor if they go to him should they fall behind. Yes i would because he is very kind and funny and interesting to talk to. He knows his topic and does a great job of teaching. Yes I would recommend Dr. G because this was a great class and I learned new material. Most Definitely! I donʻt know. Yes. He was also very prompt in email correspondence, making it easy to get ahold of him outside of class time. yes, because he is really good teacher Yes. He was recommended by my friends, and I found his teaching style very good and enjoyable. Yes, I would recommend him as a professor, especially if the student(s) were interested in the subject of geology and learning more about the Hawaiian islands because I feel like I have learned quite a bit and expanded my knowledge like I intended to. For a general science requirement, absolutely. yes. super cool I would really recommend his class because his lecture is interesting. Yes, I would recommend him. This is a very good class in terms of learning about the island we live on. He is a very good teacher and person worth knowing and spending time with.

Thank you!! he is a awesome teacher who teaches very well, helps me understand the terminology I expected to do more. Instead the lab was just a repeat of the lecture course, or rather the lecture was a repeat of the lab, leaving the lab students bored to death in the lecture because we already covered the material the day before in Lab. I expected to go outside of the classroom more and look at rocks and lava flows. We did 1 field trip to look at rocks, just a few blocks from the school. We also went to Bishop Museum on a holiday. But that was it. The lab was really a waste of time. The class overall was held back by the fact that most of the Asian students could barely speak English. During a geography lesson, one student could not tell which way was South-East, even after being told the answer! he one of the nicest teachers I know He is a very kind teacher who cares about his students. I think that he should work on his curriculum so that it is more challenging. He also should make what your course grade depends on more clear at the beginning of the class. He is really nice and raised my motivation a lot! i loved his class!! Very very nice Thank you for teaching me! It was a joy being in your class. (: Thank you!

I really enjoyed the class, thank you! Seeing how this was Not a 101 class, and rather a 103 class specific to the Hawaiian Islands, I expected to learn more things that were specific to Hawaii. Instead, we learned very basic geology, and geography. I was really held back by the fact that most of the class could barely speak English, and Nobody ever asked any questions. I wanted to ask more questions but I didn't want to stick out. Very nice and friendly. Prompt return of tests is always a perk He is a nice and friendly teacher. He is the best!! Great introductory class and teacher. Awesome awesome teacher! one of the nicest teacher I've ever had! I would highly refer people to this class. I feel like changing my major to Geology Dr. Gazdar's class is very enjoyable. He is ready to constantly assist any student that needs more understanding about what he is teaching. He furnishes his students with visual documentation and goes over his material before tests. He takes that time to understand and help each student during his office hour with their projects and questions. I will surely recommend this class to other students. This is a great class. It is easy to comprehend what Dr. G is teaching because he thoroughly explains the topics. Dr. G is extremely helpful. He knows his topics inside and out. The project that he assigned made me more aware of my island surroundings. For that alone, the class is well worth it. He assigns a lot of extra curricular activities that you can get extra points with. These events are also useful tools for any student. This class was a class that I would recommend to all students if just to have a better understanding of our island environment. This class was fun because during the class teacher passed the real stone and so on. so it was easy to understand. Also teacher was so funny!!! Class was good! I liked how he used a lot of pictures, slides, and hands-on activities to teach. I was happy that I had the chance to take this class and learn all that I did about a volcano and earthquakes and everything there is to know about the creation of Hawaii and how it all works. The professor is a very nice man and does a great job teaching this class. I would suggest this class to anyone that wants to learn more about Geology of the Hawaiian islands. SCI101 was an interesting class. The Instructor really knew his topic very well. The powerpoints were very useful. The class were prepared everyday and time was used up well. Overall, I think Mr. Gazdar thaught the class very well and I learned a lot about enviromental science. I really enjoyed this class.It made me have a greater respect for the environment around me and how precious our natural resources are A complete waste of time for a course. If anyone wants an easy A for a meaningless required course, this would be the one to go for. You never need to read the book or listen to a lecture. All you have to do is know when the tests are and when any random thing is due. And even then you can afford to miss a few because of the readily available extra credit. good class not bad teacher good class thank u!

nothing! just keep it up! nothing None, Dr G is a very good professor! None. Compared to my other teachers, Dr. G is very easy to learn from. His class is a friendly environment and he is easy to understand, thank you for using the interesting power points! They helped a lot. No change. The class is good. I wouldn't change anything, his class was very educational and fun. I always think this class finishes early for every times. He should plan class activity more! I couldn't understand his accent, my bad, but my classmates helped me out when I couldn't understand his accent. I had to speak to Dr. G to make sure I understood the syllabus and the requirements of the class..he did his best to make things understandable. none He should teach more huge subject area. Not only hawaii but also all over the world. None. maybe organize what power points you will cover for each class so the topic is covered evenly and were not jumping from topic to topic I want him to do take attendance. There are a group of about 8 non-english speaking girls in our class. They attend every lecture and talk over Dr. G. He is very patient with them, but 8 young ladies talking loudly in a foreign language through a lecture in english makes hearing and understanding Dr. G difficult. When the girls are quiet, which is rare, the class is interesting and interactive. When they are yapping away, it is frustrating. Dr. G has been to patient with them: they owe him respect and he should demand that they leave when they are being rude and talking over him. I think he should talk with every students not only Japanese girls. None some pronunciation is not clear.... n/a

He encouraged many students to participate in his class and field-trip. He made good class atmosphere. He encourages all his students to participate in class and study hard. He would ask us how we are doing, and talk to us about the class. He emailed us all of the material. He had us download on our computers the GEO program that he uses to teach us, which was very helpful to study from before an exam. And he involved all of our senses in his class, we got to feel rocks, watch educational videos, create our own presentations on a subject we chose (volcano,glacier,earthquake,landslide,rock slide, or tsunami) and teach the class, and we got to do fun games before exams like Who Wants to be a Millionaire. All of the things in class were fun and helped us all learn so much! For example, He has patience to his students. He likes students asking him question and he enjoys answering them. providing snacks, taking with students, encouraging students to do well He would let the students know if they weren't doing well and also offered a lot of extra credit. yes, he is so kind for every students a lot of extra credit He was really caring and made sure we did our #1 best! He was our cheerleader! yes He always suggest to go like Aqualium, Bishop Museum or wherever to learn geology things. That is good. He gave reminders to the classes about grades, assignments, and exams. did his part of grading our tests and giving them back by the next class. made sure we were prepared for tests. answered any questions at any time. very understanding and a good listener. He always think about student so deeply. He always made sure that students without a strong grasp of english could understand more difficult concepts and language. He gave GREAT feedback after my presentation, he encouraged me to consider a degree in geology and said I had done a professional job. When I forwarded drafts of my presentation to him, he gave kind, encouraging feedback for improvement. He helped me a lot. always gave extra credit and gave a positive answer to students who werent doing great yes i would. Yes, I recommend. He explains well. Also, his class is easy to understand. Yes his class is very interesting! I recommend Dr.G, because he is good teacher. Yes, because his assignments made sense, his in class worksheets made sense, and his exams made sense. Everything we learned, was on the test, unlike some classes where they try and teach us things we never are tested on. The current events worksheet we had to do, (where we'd find news current stories that were geological hazards) helped me see how geology is very important to us, today, in our everyday lives. Yes. He is a good professor. yes, good teacher, good at relaying the subject. very encouraging teacher. Prof. Gazdar knew his subject very well and was able to get it across to the students in a way that made it easy for everyone to retain. He was also always prepared for class and eager to help anyone who needed it. Knowing the subject area, explaining if things may be unclear, and using various resources in assisting his teaching. Dr. Gazdar knew the subject very well. Encourage students to do good in class so that they one day will become a geologist :) He is really friendly and care for each student well. He also provided us great atmosphere to learn. That he truly cares, and wants his students to be as passionate about the subject as he is. He is extremely kind and generous, and prepared to spend as much time as needed to teach his students. Very funny He was well informed on this topic. he is awesome! He provided a lot of information, posting all power points on line, gave many resources to study and learn with. He knew his subject matter. All of the activities were interesting. I liked working with actual samples of things and liked taking the field trip to see some of the local geology.

none. you did a great job! Lectures are basic and boring, I feel like you are teaching to 10 year olds. Most students do know basic things about the Earth and I feel like we are treated like we are stupid. NONE...don't change :) I have none, the course is pretty good how it is. Take roll, it isn't fair that some students only attended the class a few times, and if you don't know their names, then you don't know who to mark down as absent, giving them an unfair advantage. Keep it up none Make the lab longer and include more activities. It could have been more challenging.

He responsed e-mails really quickly. yes he did. He was very helpful and made sure that the content presented you fully understood it. he made up games to play before tests so we could better grasp concepts. made powerpoints. and made sure we understood what he was teaching. Encouraged class participation. asking questions and walking around during labs to make sure everything was okay Always asked He would email and be happy when they return to class from being absent. Dr. Gazdar encourage his students to read the class powerpoint to get more information on the lecture. By checking to see if we were all ok, he was understanding to situations that may have prevented us from attending class. Help after class He'd allow them to come up infront of the class to do little quizes. yes, very!!!! i love him!!!!

I recommend this instructor to students because he is a nice teacher. yes of course yes. as long as you do your work and show up. you'll do well. and he is very kind to students. Yes I would recommend this instructor because of the valuable information I have learned about Geophysics and Hawaiian Geology. yes - he makes class interesting and is fair to everyone. No. He is hard to understand, lectures are dull and redundant. I did not learn anything important that I did not already know from 8th grade science. I constantly felt like I was wasting my time in that class. YES! I would definitely suggest Prof. Gazdar to others students. Because he was a great teacher and I learned a lot from him. Dr.Gazdar knew his subject matter very well and brought visual aids to help students understand the topic more clearly. he knows the subject area. He also is great in teaching a lot of different students from different places. He was well informed on this topic. He provided a lot of information, posting all power points on line, gave many resources to study and learn with. He knew his subject matter and he was enthusiastic about it. He knew the subject matter, but that was about it. Prof. Gazdar knew his subject very well and was always prepared to teacher :) Able to answer questions that are given with a thorough answer and really knowing the subject area. He knew his content so well that he answered every single question from off the top of his head. He was good at using word pictures to help us visualize what he was talking about. He was very humorous and kept us entertained. Professor Gazdar really knows his Geology. He is always attentive to his students and helps in anyway he can in terms of geology. The major strengths is that he made learning fun. I know that science can be boring but he tied it into life which made it easier to understand. He is the specialist of his feild. 18. What changes, if any, do you suggest to the instructor?

none at all We need more chairs in class. Other than that this teacher is great! If he could explain things more clearly Your lectures are boring, dull, and redundant. You treat the class like 10 year olds with no basic knowledge of the Earth we live on. I felt like I was wasting my time. No changes Get a bigger classroom because it was a little difficult getting a seat and at times it was uncomfortable. none, No changes none None. There was almost too much information provided so that I was hard to know what was relevant to the class and testing. studying for exams was difficult for that reason. Stop being judgemental and treat others with the same level of respect that you enjoy. If a student comes to you with concerns of missing instructions or homework, listen to their reasons and don't judge them based on observation alone, and then base your reasoning on your own personal limitations. NONE...don't change Don't go too deep into details on certain areas of the course. 19. How did the instructor show concern for students?

Mr.Gazdar always listened to his students and made sure that everyone was learning. He also thought about us and gave us snacks. If we needed to take an exam early, he would give us that opportunity. if we had to take a test, he would let take it. he was always free for any appointments in his office He made sure of us understood everything. He answers all of our question. if we didn't know a answer when called upon, he told us we need to study for the test. He encouraged students for participation and stopped any who disrupted the class from learning. Encourage students to do good on Exams by looking at the class powerpoint slides and study at least 1-2 hours a day. He seems to genuinely believe that every student has the potential to be even better. So he encourages them to try their est and it works, everyone leaves learning more than they thought they would. When I told him that I was sick and unable to take a test he allowed me to make it up when I got better. by giving extra credit assignments to make up for lost work help after class, quick email He suggested students to visit him during office hours if they needed clarification on the topic being covered. He made sure that everyone understood what was going on in class and get ready for any exams. And made the classroom more friendlier for those who were handicap He'd allow us to talk to him after class. He was flexible with making up classes in his other class periods. I have a chronic disability that limits me to complete remedial tasks at time, and Dr. G has shown me concern by asking why I had been absent. When I explained to him that I have a chronic disability and that, at times it restricts me to where I wasn't able to attend his late afternoon classes, he scowlingly started ranting about how he has disabilities in his knees, elbows, and head. He does walk with a cane, mind you, which allows him to walk a lot more easier than I am able to. Always asked Email or welcome them when they return to class from absences. He understood the difficulties of using a projector and all the parts needed so when it wouldn't work, He didn't deduct points but gave us the time we needed to fix things. He made sure the people that disrupted the class was quiet. He always answer all the students questions. He genuinely wants to help us learn and rise to our potential. And he always uses encouraging words. He made power point for each class. And he send them by mail. It is helpful. When someone didn't show up for class twice he was worried about them. He responsed e-mails really quickly. He got to know each of us pretty well for such a short semester and just the fact that he would relate with us and always keep reminders showed his concern for his students! We went on about two field trips and he would always show the class something interesting found in space by NASA or encouraged us to see exciting things happening here on Oahu relating to Geology which was so fun!

20. Would you recommend this instructor to students? Why or why not?

I would recommend this instructor to students because he cares. Prof.Gazdar wants his students to excel and learn about the Hawaiian Islands. He is a bit repetitive in the class material, but it is a good thing because the material sticks. yes a great teacher and u will learn a lot of the geology of the Hawaiian Islands YES YES YES!! DR. Gazdar is great..... i learned a lot in his class. He teaches well. yes, because he's a nice person and he knows what he's talking about. Sure, he has a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable, and he respects his students very much YES YES YES!!! Very good and Very active! No. Classes are boring and repetitive. Lectures are dull. Class was extremely full and the teacher was not enforcing a good, quiet, learning environment. I have been telling everyone about this instructor because he is great. His teaching method is very interactive including power points, videos, museums, lectures, presentations... He is really funny also, fun learning process. Yes I would because he knows a lot about geology and I like the way that he teaches. yes because he's caring and very intelligent and makes you feel smart too. yes will learn a lot Yes, very friendly, positive and approachable teacher. Yes because he knows the subject well. He is fun to learn from. You are able to learn a lot about Hawaiian Geology Yes he was very helpful. I would recommend him because he is enthusiastic about his subject, I would not recommend this class to those who would like more of a challenge. NO, but if you need this class, hes the only teacher. Reasons as stated above. YES! I would definitely suggest Prof. Gazdar to other students because he's able to get the information across to everyone very well. Yes I would because he makes the material fun and easy to learn. Yes, I would recommend him because he was very entertaining to learn from, he kept my attention and was a respectful teacher. Yes, I would. I didn't think I was going to like Geology. But, I really enjoyed it. I also learned so much. Professor Gazdar made it interesting and fun. Yes, I would highly recommend this instructor. He is intelligent, nice, funny and makes an all around good atmosphere. Yes, I would recommend this instructor to other students because I actually enjoyed this class instead of dreading a science class. Yes! because he gave us chocolates and cookies. Yes, he's real interesting and he has areal passion for geology. I recommend this instructor to students because he is nice teacher. Yes, Mr. Gazdar is such a sweetheart, he is very educated and wants us to be EXPLORERS!

nothing much just take his class & u will have have fun. He is very kind and treats everyone the same. he has a good personality. Thank you very much! If you do not understand something the first time he explains it, then he interprets it in another way so you could. I really enjoyed this course!!! he is very nice and very likable. I wish I took his lab class! Thank you Dr.Gazdar is super nice and always encourages his students to be ichiban(#1)! I enjoyed his class very much and learned a lot. Thank You! :)
