real life application of math we can use. This type of course was contextualized for people in real life solving real problems.
Online or worksheet homework and reviews before each exam was really helpful to develop a better understanding
I learned about using statcrunch and basic knowledge about statistic.
This class wasn't your typical math. It's more of real-life, everyday situations, so that was definitely helpful. It was a very interesting course, and it made me think a lot. Also, I'm a Nursing major, and Jon applied medical situations into some class problems so I can see why this class would be beneficial for those pursuing a medical career.
The part that helped me the most was learning the concept of statistics because in another class that I was taking covered statistics.
Using math to discover the relative truth through the measurement of uncertainty is amazing. A mathematical understanding of error to determine a more accurate truth was fascinating. "The Truth shall set you Free" said a wise person. Now, I can consider the science and art of statistics an enlightening path to truth and freedom from ignorance.
I got a better understanding of statistics. It was certainly difficult but questions were always answered.
The instructor made learning easy and fun. Book with online was great too. It offered a lot of examples and extra help.
It incorporates like a "case study" types of questions that relates to nursing.
Math has been a tough subject for me, always. I took college algebra my senior year of high school and noticed a major improvement. I became nervous for the next level in math at college. But taking Stats made me confident that I can take on all math courses!
You can use this info and use it in the real world.

Easy going, friendly and able to get to the point quickly with a cheerful demeanor, I felt like learning from Jon was a treat and made me want to learn more.
He followed the class schedule that was given to us in the syllabus so that i know what section we are going to know that day.
He teach me clearly about the subject.
He is very knowledgeable about the the material. He was always available for when I (and other students) needed further clarification or to prepare for an exam. He explains things well. Positive attitude with a will to help his students succeed!
When I had a hard time on some of the mymathlab website homework problems I would ask Professor Kalk for assistance in trying to understand the question and some of the computer tools on statcrunch.
His knowledge.
The class met 3 days a week for 50 minutes each day. It was not enough time ask questions and learn from examples during class time. It was much to rushed to review and have discussions with other students in class. There was not enough time to practice the Statcrunch computer program in class. However, it was still a very interesting and stimulating learning experience.
Mr. Kalk was very prompt to responding to my questions or emails if I was having any problems understanding homework or upcoming tests.
Professor Kalk was very approachable. He encouraged us and made it very easy to get help outside of class, through email and/or in person. He was able to explain the work in many ways to accommodate our various learning styles and needs.
He was able to meet with me and a few other students to help us with some questions that we had on the review sheet that he gave us.
He was able to answer questions in person and through email.
18. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.
Honestly, I have no idea. ha ha. You did great jon. :) Alot of people kinda dropped off, so how to get everyone to stick around? Make it more exciting? I don't know, I love the course so I got alot out of it :)

No suggestions! Jon's teaching was fun and easy to understand.
One suggestion that I have for improving the course is a little more time for review for exams.
More time for discussion, review, questions and in-class practice and examples
I think his teaching abilities are great and would be hard to critique to make it any better.

For students that missed some of class- they need to come or fall behind. As long as your going to class everyday you will learn his teaching style and methods to calculate problems. Johns way of getting students come to class is have weekly quizzes which made more students attend class often.

I do see your frustration at times when students don't participate or get as excited but you still keep going knowing that what you are teaching will hit home with someone. Love the class, but disappointed in the limited time period for a more complete study and discussion in class. More time was needed for practice and enjoyment of applying concepts.
The only thing that was something I could suggest fixing is the teaching assistance he gets. The one we had this term didn't seam to know much. And the help given tended to be wrong according to the work given.
Great class! Learned a lot and am prepared to apply my new knowledge out in the real world!
Jon is a great teacher! Although I struggled A LOT in math 100; this semester I thought i would be struggling again but it's the total opposite and i'm doing really really well in his class. I'm actually surprised that I'm getting an A in STATS!

The homework and notes were really helpful. Problems dealing with the real world and problems dealing with physics where helpful. The homework was especially helpful to learn what we need to know for Calculus.

Very in depth look into math more than just memorization.
The journals really taught me how to think past the obvious and think deeper than I have in the past.
The most important thing I think about this course is the unit circle. You will need to know that thing really well for this class because it's something you need throughout the semester, not for just one topic.
It helped me learn without the help of my professor. I had to look up everything my self to actually get the grasp of the topic.

Seems to have been a great prep for calculus but time will tell. With an instructor like Jon, it's hard NOT to succeed. Anytime I was ever struggling, Jon always had time set aside to help me in the tutoring center, and that definitely helped. My course grade is currently above 100 and I think part of the credit goes to him. if I had any other instructor, my grade would be high but probably not that high. I probably valued most his ability to get messages across clearly and his lectures never relied on the text book. If he ever mentioned the text, it was to show us easier ways

I found how he was always available when we needed help was very helpful. Especially, when we needed clarification for a certain concept. He was very understanding and caring of the students. Everyone could tell he really wanted all of us to do well.

That Jon really knew what he was teaching. I don't think there was ever a time where he was unsure during his lectures and even spends the time outside of class to help me and my classmates with problems we don't understand. Jon exaplins things really clear and knows how to teach it. Jon is awesome and im glad I had him teach me this semester.
He have a thorough knowledge of the subject and that's the only reason/factor that keeps him from being a below average teacher. If he had any less of a knowledge he would've been a good teacher at best.

He is always willing to help, and makes sure you enderstand the general concept in order to apply it in different ways, basically reassuring that we have a thorough understanding of the concept.
Jon really teaches to think for yourself and to really question "why?" instead of just accepting something as it is just because thats "what the teacher taught you". In other words, he encourages you to challenge the lessons you are being taught. Instead of just accepting 2+2=4, to actually understand why it is equal and where that comes from.

There is nothing I really would change about the course or his teaching style and methods. Maybe just that the exams shouldn't weigh so much into our final grade maybe like 40%-50% maybe making the homework worth a little more.

I think he just needs to stop assuming that every student in his class knows what he's talking about. He might ask if the students have any question but, sometimes no one answers because they might not have the courage to ask or they're just confused. He can be a great professor if he takes other things into consideration.... meaning that he should provide more in-class activities that takes on the topic ENTIRELY. There are students that don't pass the class because it is not their type to research the topic to know more about it.
i think that Johnathan kalk has made an environment that has made it enjoyable to learn and presented realistic goals. I do not believe that any improvement is necessary.

Go over every hand-out to make sure that we are doing things right, and teach everything in class instead of making us learn things on our own.
I honestly don't think I could think of a way to improve his course. If I could it would probably take me a long time and any critique would be minor. Jon is one of if not the best instructor I've ever had. He works hard, he is extremely passionate about his job and avid in encouraging students to not only succeed but to enjoy learning. He wants everyone to love mathematics. He goes above and beyond for everyone and anyone. He is also very good at explaining concepts. He has the ability to explain a single concept in multiple ways, so the student can choose which way helps them to think about it. That is a talent that few instructors have. Many can only explain something in one way, the way they understand. Jon can explain in the way he understands, but can also explain the ways other people understand.
Trig identity proofs were very hard for many people, maybe a little further explanation on how to prove them.

I really would like there to be a Calculus class earlier than what is being offered next fall semester. Possibly in the mornings. All math teachers are really good. I could see that all the math teachers really do care about the students. I really appreciate the teachers and the tutors working together to help the students understand math.
Please teach Calculas next fall!!!!! Youre the best!!! :) but if not, then im glad I had the oppurtunity to share this semester with you! You helped me alot, and helped me succeed, you've been great, it's kind of sad that Math 140 is ending with you! But it's been a pleasure! Have a great summer!
I really admire him as a professor. He REALLY knows this subject, but all he needs to do is to engage more in class. It's actually my first math class that I wanted to learn more because of him teaching less (no disrespect). GREAT professor CAN BE BETTER! :D

It would be nice to have a little more room for error on the exam when it weighs so heavily on your grade. Great instructor though who is very knowledgable. Would highly recommend to have him as a math instructor.

He is able to explain the concepts clearly and he answers questions in depth.
I wasn't able to come to class on time every day and it hurt me a little, but as soon as I came into to class Jonathon filled me in briefely on what the class went through with while I was gone.
He was also open to helping teach things students couldn't understand and taught students why things were making sense.
Jonathan help everyone out a lot with understanding calculus. I really enjoyed the class because it felt like a progression into the material instead of just starting new materiel; learning it, then moving on. I learn a lot this semester and am motivated to take more calculus because i had such a great experience.

The homework should be more important and more connected with the test. For me, in math I learn about 880 percent from the homework and 20 percent from class. There doesn't need to be much homework but just enough to learn and it has to connect with the tests clearly.

I found that going relating calculus to real life situations made it interesting and easier to understand why things happen and how it relates back to calculus.

He really cares about the subject. Kalk has a passion for calculus and he makes it clear through his lectures and presentations. He also is a very kind teacher, who is understanding and respectful. He makes the student feel comfortable and allows students to freely asks questions.
Jonathan Kalk always explained our lessons very clearly and made them easy to understand. He was always very helpful with answering questions and going through our misconceptions. He is one of the best math teachers I've had.

The tests were very hard. I often felt extremely challenged by them. The examples before the test were usually not like the actual test questions. I wish that the test review was more accurate to what the test would actually be like.

I found everything valuable in this course.
Jonathan Kalk helped me to believe in myself that I can learn math. He made the material easy to follow, and focused on what was important. He allowed me to strive to continue to do my best, and he had faith that I would. Math is difficult for me to learn, but with mymathlab, the problems were very clear. It is a great homework website.
What I find most valuable and helpful about the course is that it isn't strictly math-related; there are things that really get people to think about the situation rather than getting the answer to a question. The course itself, I believe, blends with science, math, and English in a way that all three subjects encourage students to think critically and evaluate the problem rather than tackling the problem right away. Talking to people from higher math classes, I realized that this course blends with the other classes, which adds to a more enriching learning experience.
The time taken to make sure that the material is understood and the teachers help is available whenever it is needed.

That he is open and willing to help anybody in and out of class. Jonathan Kalk is also very understanding and makes math fun.
He explains math problems in different ways, relating them to different situations. It really helps me to understand.
What I find most valuable and helpful about Jonathan Kalk is that he is always encouraging his students to work through the problems in a logical way. He has also stated that while finding the correct answer is nice, it isn't the most important thing when given a question. The way to get the answer is what matters. In high school, I've been taught that I needed to get the right answer and that's it. In Kalk's class, it seems that the right answer isn't the main thing to focus on, which does impact my way of thinking but it has impacted me in a good way. I appreciate Kalk's enthusiasm in teaching his students as well.
He makes himself available to help out students and always take the time to explain the material in a variety of ways.

I suggest that Jonathan Kalk should keep up with students participating in groups because it strengthens the bond of the students and the students are learning from the material presented in class. I really don't have any criticisms on Kalk's teaching style and methods because his class has taught me some things that I didn't learn in high school. Maintaining what he is currently doing will definitely help the students who will be taking this course in the future.
The speed of the class was fast and the homework was a heavy load.

Math has never been my strong suit, I always struggled so I can't say I was entirely thrilled to be taking 2 math classes in 1 semester however Jon made this challenge a lot easier by always wanting us to do well, he was always willing to meet us after class if we ever had questions, he's quick to respond to emails. Honestly, it's his true passion for the class that really showed through. He's very knowledgeable in this subject, I can say that with a 100% positivity, he's very thorough with his lessons and really wants us to grasp the concepts and not only grasp but understand them too.
He takes the time to explain clearly the answers to the questions that I ask him. He does not get frustrated or impatient with me either.
He is very approachable and very knowledgeable about Math. He made learning fun, and suggested ways that I could improve. Math has always been a difficult subject for me, and Jon made me never give up and allowed me to believe that I will pass this class.
Open about asking for help via email or tutoring. Thoroughly explains the material of the class and provides good examples on how it would relate to nursing later on in the future.

I think the only thing I can say was definitely include the project next time as a grade and not extra credit. If it's one thing about projects, it gives us a chance to really show you how much we really understand the concepts and are able to do them in our own experiment. The project you have is a really good one, it covers the entire statistic standards and also makes a good review for a test.

Longer class periods, i felt like every class was a rush, and noticed that near the end of every class we always had to squeeze in what we needed to learn for that day; i feel that about a 2hour 30 min - 3 hour class would be more effective.
Provide the statistics project for the final instead of an extra credit assignment and have us start it at the beginning of the semester. I really wanted to do the assignment but I didn't want to stress over it if it was optional. Also, a little less lecturing and more time to solve problems and check for understanding with the students.
In improving the course, if a student were to take two math classes in one semester (the previous being Math 75, which took half of the semester), I would suggest that the Math 115 class to be more packed with information. The class was a bit behind on schedule (but not by much), so Jonathan had to remove some information he really wanted to teach the students.
Have a better flow of the course material. If there is something that needs to be taught for the homework or a test and it is not taught then it is hard to do good on the task that we have not learned yet.

although this class wasn't my best class, it did make me think outside the box when we worked on different chapters.
I learned a lot and it will help me in my nursing career.
The textbook used was very helpful and easy to understand. The online materials used (StatCrunch and MyStatLab with Pearson) was well explained and simple to use as well. Professor Kalk's help and availability along the support from fellow students was very encouraging and aided in my comprehension of the covered materials.
This class has made me more aware of misleading information often released in print and other forms of media that I often didn't think too carefully about and generally believed. Now however I have the skill set to carefully analyze statistical reasoning and draw my own conclusions based off of actual data.
I enjoyed taking a math course unlike any I have previously taken. I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did!
The course was very helpful on knowing what to expect in the real world. Plus there were many things that I didn't know what had to pretend to us people for the real world. This course along with another course has made a BIG impact on how things could or be later in my years.

The fact that he was willing to spend endless amounts of time with his students to make sure we understood the material. I also found it very helpful how quick he was to respond to emails. He was very passionate about his job and extremely helpful the whole semester.
He made time for us to have study groups with him to go over the things that we were unsure about. He also explained the topics thoroughly so it was easy to understand them.

Mr Kalk is a great teacher. He really cares about his students success. If there is something that you don't understand he will present it in a way that you do understand. This is a tough subject but Mr Kalk teaches this class in a very non-intimidating way which makes it much easier to understand.
The most valuable and helpful thin I found about Mr.Kalk was, that he made us feel comfortable to ask questions, and even if we didn't ask questions he was able to see that some people of the class didn't understand.(counting me)
You can always count on him when u have questions and problems. Just email him & he'll have answers for you. He was always willing to help when you don't understand the problems. The Group studies that he makes are also helpful for students when they are having hard time.
Professor Kalk was very helpful. He is a great teacher who is very thorough and effective in his teaching methods. He was always available to answer any of our questions, and encouraged us to do our best.
Professor Kalk was extremely willing to answer any questions my classmates and I had about the material and often encouraged that we send him emails and meet with him if we thought is was necessary. He is highly capable of using different methods of explanation and providing excellent visual examples so that I always felt confident in my knowledge of the subject matter. I would take all of his classes if it were possible.
I was dreading taking this class but taking it with Mr. Kalk, he made it fun & kept it interesting! I would definitely recommend him to anyone & would take another course from him. He knows his stuff & is very enthusiastic about his work which makes him a great teacher to learn from!
Kalk has many valuable and helpful things to make me have a better understanding of the course and that things were on a rocky road and as semester gone on things got a little better of knowledge to know what to expect for the materials or lecture on each chapter that was being teach in class.

I thin to improve the course and Mr. Kalk is, more group discussions and homework examples. And on Pearson there is this think to help us with the homework "view an example" and the way he shows us to do it in class and the way they show us on Pearson is really different.
I have no suggestions, I like his current methods and wouldn't change it.
There is not a thing that should be improved on Kalk's teaching even though it was his first semester on teaching, but it was really interesting how things came to be of what I have learned from Kalk.
Help explain star crunch a little better and allow to use stat crunch skills table during tests because some are hard to remember.

Statistics are every where and now that I have a common knowledge of it, I know it'll help me in the future.
im not sure. he said at the beginning of the semester he would relate the course to nursing because majority of the students were nursing students but i only remember one problem being related to nursing.
Mr. Kalk made himself available to help us a lot. He replied to questions asked about homework quickly through email and set up tutoring times for extra help.
I found the use of Statcrunch to be a valuable and helpful tool in solving statistic problems. It made it easier then doing some of the problems by hand.

The way that we had 3 attempts on homework questions. It helped so I knew what my mistakes were.
The handouts were super help that layered out the materials in a really effective manor. This helped so much because when we kept learning new material it was nice to be able to go back and refer to these sheets.
That the test and homework used technology to help save learning more and more formulas to do by hand, it helped cut out a lot of time that would of spent doing everything by hand.
The course help me review concepts that I was not comfortable with in past science classes. Stats will better help me analyze peer reviewed papers in the future classes if/when I actually go back to school.

The course textbook was a little difficult to follow because it didn't always explain things enough.
One suggestion could be to set more time in class to go over questions people missed on the homework.
Perhaps interpret more "on-hands" for the students to do, considering that at times, the lecture wasn't as interesting nor was it fun to pay attention to.

I found very helpful that my instructor would make sure each student understood the lesson before moving on to the next. Also, I found the quizzes after the lessons very helpful, it showed each of us that we knew the lesson and we all fully understand.

If we ever needed to ask him questions about any of the homework or lessons, he was always reachable. He also makes sure each of his students knows the lesson well before moving on to the next, if one of his students doesn't understand he will go-over the lesson again so that we will understand it more.

He is a kind, smart instructor who is never condescending towards students. You can tell that he wants his students to succeed, and he prepares his students for classes in the future. If you ask/give a "dumb" question/answer he won't embarrass you but rather finds a way to relate that to the subject (although sometimes it's not at all). He doesn't just state that he is available for help outside of class so he can claim that he's good teacher, but time to meet students at a convenient time.

I founded that Math 100 was most valuable and helpful because it introduced me to a different way of thinking and using math in my everyday life.

The most valuable things that I've learned through this course, is that it made think very hard and critical to understand each assignment. But I have progressed very well and that I pretty much hated word problems, but as time went on, it kind of came to a point that I have learn a lot from this and that now I can say I'm loving math.
Strangely, I found the Journals to be extremely helpful! I never thought that a journal would be of any use in a math class. However being as we studied probability as well as reasoning is was nice to just be able to vent or get excited about specific problems or sections I also really enjoyed the use of online tutorials suggested by Jon. These really opened my eyes to math in a completely different perspective.
Logic
Jonathan Kalk doesn't just teach us the material in our textbooks, he implores us to make personal connections with what we're learning and encourages us to find ways to apply it to the world around us. Jonathan teaches that math is so much more than computing numbers aimlessly, rather- math is an important and invaluable application for life.
It provided me with a good understanding of deep knowledge behind mathematics in general.
I liked that Math 100 provided a different source of learning about Math. It opened my mind to become even more knowledgable of the way life works in terms of Mathematics. Although it is a difficult course and takes a lot more than just numbers and letters, it helped me to think harder and appreciate math in its most raw form.

He's able to help you whenever you have questions. And within the my math lab there is an ask teacher button so that the problem you need help on will be emailed to your instructor so that you are able to help us.

Everything looks good, and everything in place about it. I just wished that the school would give him more time in our Math 100 classes. One hour is not good enough to learn everything in time.

I don't think that there is anything that needs to improve as of right now. But what ever Kalk is doing, it's very excellent and on point to my understanding that I've learned a lot from him.
I know this may be weird coming from an adult at my age, but my learning style was not like the young babies in our class that are fresh out of high school -- I needed you to slow down alittle bit.
Jonathan mentioned in class that this semester was the first time he was trying the journal application concept, and I think that was a great idea. Keep that concept!!! Weekly journals really helped to emphasize, as well as broaden our understanding of the material we were learning in class.

Maybe spend a little more time on chapters 10 and 11. Also have the final on only the last chapters learned from mid-term to the end.
His class were not all to me seemed that hard but for myself whom were bad at english reading and understanding through out my teens, I believe students would succeed in that math department way better if, and which this course to me seems to be an essientrial; so I think considering a math lab class is a do to go for it, cause most stdent can't make it for tutoring and signing up for a class with lab and no interuption of other class mix up would do just fine.
To have a more set syllabus for test dates and to give study guides a week before the tests.
I think he needs to improve his teaching style. He is super smart when it comes to Math so he would explain things more complicated then they needed to be. He needs to start off with a simple explanation and slowly build up to the bigger picture. I found it at times easier to read the explanations on the homework because I was not able to get a grasp on what he was trying to explain. It would be useful if after he passed out a worksheet, he would also pass out a answer sheet so that I know I'm doing the problem in the correct way. This would help prepare better for the tests.

Aside from Mr. Kalk, the program math lab was very helpful and one of the best programs I worked on.
I really liked the open seating and especially their arrangement in the class. It made me feel like a part of the class I and enjoyed having other older students who stimulated similar questions in my class.
In the beginning of the semester, I dreaded this class. Now I'm happy to say I learned a lot and this was the greatest math class I ever had. Never knew counting numbers would be fun.
overall he's a helpful teacher,he's always available, but I felt like we had to write about math rather than actually doing math. If he could teach in a more simpler way just like our homework online. He sometimes don't make sense when he's lecturing, but when it comes to the homework it makes much more sense. He teaches very fast and that's what discourages me.

I like having meetings and discussing the course material. Mr. Kalk made things seem easier to understand when I could not understand the text.
Learning how to teach math in a way that i would have never imagined was very helpful. I will definitely use what I have learned from this class and use the techniques to teach math.
The group discussions were the most helpful. To take what we were learning and collaborate with others really helped me to see if I was understanding the content or not; it also helped me to see the same content from a different view, which is so critical in teaching. Also, the type of program we were using, the on-line whiteboard, is a really neat tool that's fun to use!

Professor Kalk is very knowledgeable. He knows a great deal about all of the things that he teaches.

Jonathan's passion for mathematics really shows through his teaching and therefore makes learning fun and easy in his class. He did an excellent job at explaining just about EVERYTHING. It really helped to know that if we had a question, he wouldn't mind taking the time to elaborate. Also his mastery of the online program was really helpful during class time; time wasn't wasted at all. He was always well prepared.

Different text book or additional reference illustrating what an elementary school teacher or child may actually be looking at in the type of math we are covering. Less responsibility on us to prove concepts and more instruction as to the important elements or truths we need to grasp. Some exercises regarding proofs forces us to think outside the box but as an introductory course, more general instruction would create less frustration on the part of the students.

At first, I thought that I wouldn't like the class. But I really enjoy being in an online classroom. It is nice to interact with the students and hear an instructors voice over the internet and still be able to be home with my children.
The think that I found most valuable and helpful about the course is the working together on problems and the continual feed back to provide the opportunity to improve.
The amount of communication between the instructor and the other students.
This course really helped me to see many different ways math can be interpreted; English is actually a larger part of math than I thought, and the way in which things are stated make a HUGE difference in what might be communicated. Through working with others, it helped me to view the same math problem from many different angles and understand where misunderstandings and misinterpretations might occur. I discovered some new ways to help with explaining new/difficult concepts.
Definately not the book. Tutor examples and examples in class were the only things that were helpful. Ryland was very good at understanding my confusion and explaining it, though I have no Idea how he got his explaintion from the book. The book is awful! No examples just confusing words and then questions, it could have been in another language to be easier. There are lots of programs to translate other languages not many for english.

He is always open for discussion and conducts class very well.
The thing taht is most valuable and helpful about the instructor is that he is willing to spend the extra time to further explain information that may not be clearly understood.
I think the quickness and thoroughness of responses to any questions was very helpful, along with patience when explaining concepts.
Our instructor was very patient with the entire class and thorough in his explanations. If he noticed a few struggling, he made sure that everyone understood the topic before moving on and gave examples in class to help with any problems that any of us might have had. I felt that he was able to identify the strengths/weaknesses of our class and did a great job at pairing/grouping us together in class in order to optimize our learning both in and out of class, and not only from him but from each other. He is very knowledgeable of this topic and does an excellent job at breaking down terminology to the nitty-gritty.
When he would draw examples. Talking about them... if you don't understand to begin with changing order of words doesn't help. I use to think Math was easy to do, not here. The worst part was the book, class would probably have been better if there was a different book, this one is not good.

I would suggest some improvement with forums, not all the students are active enough in them. I'm not sure if that can be changed however since it depends more on the students.
I wish that there were stricter rules applied to assignment due dates and class start time. I felt that many students took advantage of the relaxed structure and would come to class late and would not follow through with their part of group assignments.
The time period is a struggle. A class that was a little later in the evening would be even better. Other than that I am enjoying the class. The online, interactive classroom setting is awesome! Being able to discuss problems with others, work in small groups on our own "whiteboards" and being able to see what others are doing at the same time, I think is great. If only all math classes actually had this same type of learning environment...because math should be interactive and fun!
CHANGE BOOK!! More examples for us that learn differently. The first 1/2 of the semester was soooooooo confusing! I cannot say that I understand what we learned already. Lots of words, not enough examples.
