1. Which aspects of the course were most valuable?
Outside help and conferencing.
I think that teacher conferences were very valuable. The one on one time with the teacher really helped me stay on the right track.
Thesis and Mla format helped to build my writing.
Learning how to properly evaluate sources.
I feel as though all the teacher meetings were most valuable for the course. Her feedback was helpful towards editing each of my drafts. The feedback also gave me useful tips on what to do when I begin on a new essay.
"Conferences"
Research paper and grammar
My professor gave me really useful tips about how to improve my paper and she really made me think. I feel like I was forced to step up my game, and I learned a lot from that.
2. Which aspects of the course were least valuable?
Vocabulary wall.
Not too much I can think of, but possibly the need to be connected online in order to pass this class. That was somewhat difficult. Also I believe the very big one was having to pass the library test in order to pass the whole class. I personally believe that was completely unnecessary. Students should be held accountable for finding their own research their own way. I believe this aspect was a little extreme.
None
The interview essay was least valuable to me.
I did not enjoy how much time we lost during presentations that we could've used for other important tasks in class.
Did not like the hotseats
Hot seats, some of the readings I found irrelevent
Listening to other people's presentations weren't always that helpful of insightful, especially when the presenter was ill-prepared or too soft-spoken to understand. However, I did see a lot of value in reading the essays in the textbook. Although some of them didn't really make sense to me, it really opened my eyes about what can be done with writing.
3. Ten years from now I'll probably remember this course most by ...
Writing traits and usage of them.
Having a teacher that actually worked with you and helped you get in assignments maybe a little late, but not completely destroying your grade.
Giving the course what I had and taking away from it some valuable things.
My classmates and instructor.
how much I learned in english and pass on that knowledge to other people.
First college english class....
The friendly atmosphere, interesting subjects, nice proffesor
Like I said, I didn't know that I was capable of writing so much in such a small box of time, and I've really learned about dealing with stress and time management.
4. Please list your suggestions for improving the course and/or the instructor's teaching style and methods.

No suggestions, I really enjoyed her.
1. For Hotseat presentations, maybe it would be better if students had a guideline or rubric on the actual presentation of the hotseats. For example, to speak with a loud and clear voice would be worth a couple of points.

25. How did the instructor show concern for students?
Made time for them and checked up on student progress frequently.
By having one on one meetings.
By spending extra time to look over my work.
taking time to write individual notes on each paper and ways to revise them. providing a schedule of due dates and upcoming assignments.
She individually talks with her students about problems they have in class and how they can improve themselves, not only for her class, but in general.
Conferences
Always offering ways to make up for missed assignments, extra credit. She is very kind and always open to answer questions.
Professor St John made time outside of class to conference with students about their assignments. She suggested resources, carefully examined the content of each assignment, and was generally always available.
26. What did you especially like/dislike about the way the instructor taught this course?
She kept up with student progress.
She was very sympathetic and really tried to help us pass.
She was very on it.
I felt like a lot of time was wasted just sitting around
what I liked about her class was all the people in it. She wasn't the only person who would help, but the students would also help each other. I also like all the feedback she gives, her feedback was very useful towards each of my essays
Like- Very nice, good pace, lots of involvement out of every student. Dislike- Cant think of anything
I like that huge chunks of time were spent peer editing and conferencing one-on-one with the professor. It gave me a chance to form bonds with my classmates, and forced to me to scrutinize my own work carefully.
