13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?
I enjoyed doing the goggle site project because I got to pick the topic I wanted to research on. Now I know (sort of) what goes into making a website and it's hard work especially those that have to deal with history or facts because it's important to make sure the information you use is accurate and can be backed up with trusted sources.
I enjoyed the poems and stories that was required to read. Some activities were very fun and encouraged me to do my best!
I enjoyed doing the vocabulary work because it was time consuming, but fun, and I was able to learn a lot of new words.
I thought Danielle did great and I learned a lot from this course. The amount of work was a bit much. I feel if I was taking any more classes I may not have kept up too well, but other than that It was fine.
I liked the way the quiz's were made. It really helped me understand the vocabulary words more.
I thought the vocabulary was a good touch. Everything was good. I may have been overwhelmed at times, but that was to be expected in a good course.
Danielle Carpenter shines at teaching online courses. She was the best prepared online teacher I have ever had. She had direct links to everything required in every module. She would re-post links we were returning to and made sure all the resources were available. I e-mailed her several times throughout the course with questions, and she always replied quickly and on point which was very helpful. I enjoyed the poems and literature she had us read, and learned a lot about understanding it's content. I enjoyed her Discussion and Private Messages methods with good guidelines about what to write about and what was expected. These guidelines were very helpful but still allowed each student to voice their own opinion and ideas on her open-ended questions. Having students write open-ended questions for other students to answer made interpreting some writings very interesting. She has improved my online class taking skills by helping me with small technical things. Her Research Reading Project was a little different that what I am used to in English projects but I like that it taught me something new and I have a better idea of how to use my computer and internet skills. I also really liked that Danielle always gives good feedback instead of a just a letter grade. It really lets you know where you stand and if/why you need improvement.
I appreciate that professor Carpenter was very organized and the entire semester the assignments were challenging but appropriate for the level. Thank you Mrs. Carpenter for sharing you knowledge and keeping me engaged the entire semester.
I really enjoyed doing the research project.
14. Any suggestions to improve this course?
I know this is a college reading course but I felt like there was a little too much reading. At one point I got overwhelmed with the amount of assignments and test and discussions due the same time.
I felt that the class had an overwhelming amount of homework. Each piece was beneficial, but i felt it was a lot!
Less work because it was hard to catch up when I was missing late assignments due to computer difficulties.
Less assignments per week

21. Other comments:
Professor Danielle always made sure that we (the students) know that she was open to any questions and/or concerns with assignments. She replied to my emails on a timely basis and allowed me to turn in late assignments. She made sure that I tried to finish the assignments even past the due dates because she cares about us as a person and wants to see us succeed. She would put motivation quotes on the welcome page so that we don't get discouraged. She was an awesome and caring teacher that made this class, even if the assignments were a bit overwhelming, enjoyable and rewarding at the same time. AWESOME JOB!!
Aside from the overwhelming amount of homework, i did indeed enjoy this class and danielle as an instructor.
The teacher was great. I just wish I did my work on time and was better at managing my time well.
Thank you Danielle, for doing such a great job. Also, Thank you for preparing me to see how full of a load I really did put on myself. It helped.
Danielle's the best!
Awesome semester...I learned a lot and hope I will have the opportunity to be in one of your classes in the future!
