13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

LIKED THE ACTIVITIES, THEY WERE FUN.. well. i like doing the chapters in "Microsoft Office 2007" even though i did not have microsoft access 2007. It was an awesome course to take. I appreciated the fact that the teacher went over the material that was assigned for homework. I also appreciated how "on it" he was with returning test and work. It helped me prepare for finals ect. This class helped me to leanr simple things that I could use everyday...

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

NO hmmm... well... i say that he should try to make the subject more fun. then again how can you make this subject fun? if he could make the lesson more fun, it becomes more memorable. so if he can do that, then he will be fine. I wouldn't change anything about this course. Upgrade the text because some books werent the same as others.

13. What did you like about this course, such as activities, projects, assignments, etc.?

I liked how we went over the programs and flowcharts as a class. The material from this course was brand new to me. I have never done any programming or computer logic before.

14. Any suggestions to improve this course?

I believe with such a course that it's important to make sure students have a strong foundation, such as learning about variables and such. I think the course was done okay. I think doing more group lecture in the beginning of the course would help a lot. The instructor started with the assumption that everyone in the class had some knowledge of programming. Taking some time early in the semester to assess the knowledge level would have made the course much better.

Mr. Shoemaker is very knowledgeable. Toward the end of the course he was able to communicate the subject material in a manner I could understand.
