8. What did you find most valuable and helpful about the course?

I took advanced macro econ before at another university. My course credit was not transferred over because it was not focused on the southeast Asian and pacific islands area. It was good as a refresher and I can't say that I did not learn a couple new things, but then some things weren't taught that I was taught elsewhere (there is only so much time in the semester), so personally not the best value for my money or time.

Professor McClain is very knowledgeable in the field of Economics. He teaches us well. He is open to questions and he knows how to explain the material so we understand.

Current news and how our lessons related.

The course is interrelated to current world economic events, thus making it more interesting. It gives a rather realistic application in terms of understanding the situation that we are in.

I think the lectures were very well organized and coming to class really exposed me to global international trade. The research project helped me understand how to read economies and will help me in my future trades. I can find strong and weak economies and decide where to place future businesses.

The country analysis project was very educational.

I liked his PowerPoints. they were very thorough and really helped when I was studying for his exams.

I learned a whole lot more about Economics and Financial Environment of Global Business. I enjoyed taking this class.

The professor communicated well with students.

We did not have to waste money on a textbook and still had the same outcome had we bought one.

Mcclain's willing to explain concepts to students, in and outside of class.

No textbook was required and all the slides were available on Laulima

the graphs and videos were interesting and helped me understand the concept and statistics better

I like that everything is well organized and a book isn't required. I appreciated the resources available on laulima and the hints on the exam were really helpful.

I enjoyed the current events portion of the lectures. I liked how he made the course relevant.

The only helpful thing I learned in this class was the hedging and arbitrage and that was because it helped me in my Fin 321 class.

We learned a lot of information about the economy that could easily be applied to real-life situations. I feel much knowledgeable about the subject and I now understand what is happening in the US and world economy.

I found all of the sections on exchange rates and monetary and fiscal policy to be the most valuable, because I can apply what I learned to the situations going on in real life. I thought the links that Professor McClain provided to articles, tables, and videos were also valuable in that they provided another means of communicating applicable information.

Looking at the bigger picture of business.

I really liked that he would always remind us on up coming assignments and exams. I also liked that we got to bring in notes to the exams because it is a broad subject to full understand.

I think the PowerPoints being online were fairly helpful. As well, explanations, especially on calculations, made sense once explained. I also feel that it was helpful to not have textbooks because it saves us, students, money.

Refreshing my mind about economic concepts

The projects that we researched was valuable being that we got the chance to explore the economy and well being of different countries.

His expertise in this course

The exam clues reviewed in the beginning of class was a good review of the previous lecture.

Everything. Not only did Professor McClain help me learn and understand global finance and economics, but also kept the class updated on today's news that relates or affect the course.

Learning how to compare the performance of each country and what factors of each country to take into consideration when deciding on who to invest in.

The fact that we didn't have a book was great, however, Professor McClain did not lecture well enough to make up for it. His tests are somewhat difficult not because of the course material, but because he structures them in ways to trick deceive students. Nearly the entire class struggled on our last midterm and I suspect it is because of his intent to trick us.

I liked how he allowed us to have a cheat sheet. That was super helpful. The instructor was very clear about things and posted everything we needed on Laulima.

The powerpoints were very informative.

The PowerPoint slides he used to explain each lecture was very useful and beneficial for the exams.

I enjoyed the stories most of all. I find that when teachers relate through stories it is easier to remember concepts.

The second half of the semester is a bit packed. I hope Professor McClain could put more material in the first half the semester. Moreover, the second Midterm is very hard.

More opportunities for credit.

His teaching style and methods are already seamlessly catered to student's needs. Please continue to do so. Laulima was definitely an invaluable tool for this class. There were a lot of useful information he provided that were not only helpful in helping us prepare foe the exam but reinforce our understanding in subrelated topics.

David Mcclain is very enthusiastic about the course he is teaching. I was delighted to be able to have a course taught by him.

Maybe have some of the math problems as take home assignments and then go over them in class. I felt overwhelmed on the exams because I was not as confident as I needed to be on the exam.

Please post sample papers for your students to read and use as examples when doing their write- ups. It was difficult to determine what exactly you wanted from the students in order to obtain an excellent score.

I know it is difficult because there are so many students in this course but if he can find a way to make the classes more entertaining. It was boring to listen to him lecture the whole class period and when the class is so large it becomes difficult to focus on the material being taught.

Explain and prepare students for the test much more.

More review sessions for exams, hard to figure out what to study for.

i would like the teacher to explain the projects much better and maybe even post examples. He also graded our written projects hard and i feel his test were too long to be completed within the time period. When he grades our exam, he grades it like a SAT where if you mark the wrong answer or miss a answer then your exam would be marked down.

With the layout of the room it has been difficult at times to hear what the professor is saying.

I think that he should try to stop covering so much density of material and have a greater focus on what matters. He wanted us to know everything and allowed us to use cheat sheets and a lot of the class still struggled because the material was too dense. I know he used to be the present but he needs to realize this is not a 600 level course. it is 313 and we do not have the brain capacity or time to learn remember and cover the ridiculous amount of materials that were supposed to be learned in the tests. also, i think that if he is going to give exam clues, he should use them on the tests, stop trying to be so tricky, and actually allow us to know the information. tricking us and not using the exam clues does nothing to higher our knowledge, it just stumps us. what is the point of that? we are paying to be educated. not tricked.

Maybe to make sure students understand the computations more

Be more clear on what you want for the project. I feel like projects with less content and more graphs were graded better than papers with high quality content. Be more clear about what you will be testing on and what is important. Don't test on things you have only mentioned once in class.

I think it may be better to have a smaller class size.

The personal experiences from McClain and well as all the guest speakers.

I really enjoyed when we got into groups and answered questions based on past and/or hypothetical situations. The guest speakers were very informative. It would have been nice if it could they could have had the time to talk with students after class to give more information and to take the opportunity to bring such a successful person (from in and outside of Hawaii) into our networking contacts groups. Professor Mcclain's ethos was well-established upon learning of his experience as Dean, and he has a respectable reputation for having been one of the best that UH has ever seen. He had a lot to offer us, and he maybe a little too humble in his own experiences. He could have been a "guest speaker" for us to interview as well.

I think I listed them above, but if I had to add anything more I would say more in-class activities and more discussions on how we can apply what we learn to our future careers. Maybe taking more tests as to assess our leadership and personalities...how we can become better or the leaders we want to be. This would help to give us a road map so we can navigate to our goals.

I would strongly suggest grading rubrics so that students are able to know what is expected of them.

Really enjoyed hearing from guest speakers. Class was predictable, grading was fair, and our review of course content was thorough.

I think the time of the class may have put things at a disadvantage. While it may have fit our schedules, it was still late afternoon-many of us were tired and not in an optimal mindset for learning and listening. Regardless, Prof. Mcclain was very professional, kind, and collaborative. He empowered us, and the class culture seemed more like what I would imagine a graduate course to feel like...as if we were colleagues or interns rather than students. Very effective.

The teacher gave test question hints.

I've found that the information we gathered for our analyses projects is vital in many of my other classes.

Professor McClain was able to make the class room environment seem very open and comfortable. This made me as a student much more relaxed and willing to ask for clarification if needed.

Unsure, the class was very hard for me, maybe my lack of knowledge going into the class, or my lack of interest in the subject.

The clues he gives us for our exams and demonstrates to us how to solve problems

I thought the PowerPoints were most valuable. They directly linked to the subject matter Professor Mcclain was teaching us, and in such a way that it reinforced, rather than confused us.

The lectures and power points were very helpful.

We solved the problems together, but he allowed each student enough time to try the problems. Most teachers rush through the slides, he made sure we all understood before he moved on to the next topic.

His real world experience and complete understanding of the topic. We never asked him a question that he couldn't answer and he always responded with respect - "That's a great question..." At times I asked him to explain a concept again and he always did so with patience. I learned more in this class than almost any other in my three years at Manoa. I always wanted to sit in class longer and ask him a dozen more question. I truly value the education I received in his classroom.

Professor Mcclain's expertise in economics made this difficult topic easy. From simple macroeconomics to the exchange rates of currencies, Professor Mcclain made it all easy to understand. His unique teaching style coupled with his experience made learning very enjoyable.

I really enjoy his teaching style. He meets my needs in understanding the course material by giving sample problems, being interactive, providing powerpoint presentations, and giving a thorough lecture. I do not see any room for improvement in this course.

Continue to tell your amazing anecdotes. They bring humor and life to a class where the subject matter can cause some students to lose interest.

Maybe engaging the whole class more could keep everyone's interest and attention better.

Do not require students to purchase the textbook.

Keep doing what you are doing. The course is good as it is.

The multiple choice questions are very difficult because there can be more than one correct answer. Instead it would be more helpful to pick the best answer for each question.

I personally relate very closely to the topic, but some students complained to me that it has no relevance to them. Kids! :) Maybe find a way to relate on a more personal level? I don't know how to teach people to appreciate what they don't yet know affects them, but I wish there were a way to do that. How to help a young person understand the personal relevance of Y = C, I, E, G on a global basis? Hmmm. A challenge for a better mind than mine!

Teacher is stubborn, bias, not helpful, not a good listener. It is only a one way street with him. Need new teacher please.

The book in my opinion is not necessary. Professor McClain is a very effective lecturer and I feel that if you take notes on what is said and review the power points, you are able to grasp a deeper understanding rather than simply reading the chapters.

Learning about leadership strategies is something you can grow from and use in all aspects of life. We learned fundaments that make a good leader. Which is very valuable to know this information because in turn we can use it to grow and become strong leaders within the different dimensions of our lives.

I really liked the book, it had a lot of good information and good cases to learn from.

I found the class discussions about the different types leadership and the cases that were at the end of each chapter valuable and helpful. I also found the guest speakers helpful in learning about leadership.

The Financial Crisis Leader Essay.

Professor McClain is an outstanding example of a teacher that is aware of leaning styles. He engages his students with interesting subject matter and challenges them to think critically. He also inspires students to be more curious about the ways that they will lead in the future. Also the book was quite helpful and appropriate. Professor McClain's experience combined with the material makes ofr an outstanding course.

I enjoyed having amazing guest speakers. This class was one of the best I have ever had in University this far because of the opportunity to communicate with many very intelligent people - our Professor, guest speakers and other students.

Please provide some feedback on ways we can improve in things like the presentations and the guest speaker papers. If students are able to understand what areas they were weak in and because of those weaknesses they got some deductions, then it will be more defined on how the students can do better next time.

Provide reasons to how he grades the group/individual projects. We were confused as to getting praises that we did well, yet the grades we were given did not fully match what he said. Feedback to why points were taken off would be greatly appreciated.

More teaching by McClain himself, to many boring group presentations. My favorite classes are when McClain is up there talking/teaching.

One possibility for change would to have the students each prepare at least one question for the professionals who come to speak.

It would be nice to attend some business event as part of the class. Possibly the Business Night organized by Shidler College of Business or some presentation/lecture or small seminar by some well-achieved leaders.

Allow for more student feedback- Very rarely was there a purposeful discussion. Also, multiple answers to multiple choice questions needs to go. I (and others) spend more time second-guessing ourselves. In traditional mulitple choice, if a student has studied, the answers get narrowed down to one or two choices...

Showing more examples would help. Also, maybe not make the multiple choice questions so tricky or put too many of them where there is more than one answer. Also, providing maybe at least 5 points extra credit it always good for students to boost their grade and raise their spirits that they could do well in the course.

Some of the material was kind of interesting but the monotone made it seem boring and made me sleepy.

Tests were quite difficult and unforgiving. I did not like the multiple choice/true or false style used. Maybe more short answer would help. I felt that exams tested memory rather than understanding.

I would suggest having a few problems that students can do on their own to practice for the exam.

The only suggestion i have would be to focus on the problems for the exam since i found myself caught off guard with some of the problems.

The blackboard lessons were much more involving. It stopped people from zoning off and made students take notes. I learned the most at these moments. Other than that, If the class was a bit more involving I suppose it would be nice.

Professor Mcclain is a kind professor. He takes the time to get to know everyone in the class by their first name. He is willing to accommodate others if they need it. He is a very knowledgeable person in his field.

I think the exam should be more structured. The short answer questions were random.

Having guest lectures made it an interesting class but the professor wasn't there, which was weird.

Tests were too unforgiving. A better test style should be used since it makes up so much of our final grade

I'm not a fan of economics but Professor McClain was really able to get me interested in the topics that we talked about.

The question for the 1st guest lecturer, Paul seemed a bit irrelevant since it his lecture skipped over a lot of slides. However, it was not hard since there was only 1 question on the exam about it. I think I would've preferred the final not to be cumulative since there is so much material, but the cheat sheets help a lot. I think it helped that the 3rd paper was combined with the 4th. It really helps when the material covered in class is relevant to the paper because then it helps to know what you want. Overall, I really liked the class and it was very clear that the professor was knowledgeable about the subject.

I really liked the textbook. It put numerous leadership styles in a short, clearly written format. There was a nice amount of graphics and charts to make things even more clearer. The weekly case write ups were also helpful with learning the chapter's material, even though most of the cases didn't make much sense and could use an update to be more realistic and modern.

The most valuable thing I am taking from this course has to be the friendships and acquaintances I've made with my classmates and instructor through open discussions and group presentations.

Since it's a writing intensive class, I would say that I wish I'd hear about the writing tips from your experience of producing professional reports.

Like we discussed in class, it would be more interesting if we could somehow see how the topics in class are applied in real life. Possibly find a way to incorporate examples in the real world with the types of leadership styles we learned in class. Also, it would be great to see how we could become better leaders too rather than just learning about leadership styles.

Learning the concepts of being a leader is good, but learning how to be a leader is better. Watching videos of how to be a leader would be most helpful.

As we discussed in class. Having some more time in class to develop ourselves as leaders would be helpful.

I would not include role playing for this course material. I would also mix up the groups (if it is a small class) that way the students are able to strengthen their interpersonal skills with different personalities and it would (hopefully) encourage more group discussion because everyone is interacting with each other more.

The class that we had to act out the cases was not very useful. I think if we had advance notice to prepare something as a group to act then it might have been a little more effective.

Aside from the role playing, keep doing what you're doing, it seems to be getting a good response.

I would like a little more direction as to what material is relevant in each chapter as it pertains to the final.

McClain answered his students in a condescending way when approach privately for help. He is very critical on the presentations and essays but is unwilling to help and provide suggestions for improvements. When asked for clarification on my essay and how I could improve it he simply stated "I'm not the one writing the paper!". He also doesn't provide explanations for why he gave the grades he did. McClain didn't actually do any teaching, each week the students presented a chapter in the book and he simply provided comments and opinions. He is teaching a class on leadership when he is a terrible leader himself. Professor McClain should stick to his specialty, finance and economics. The class is a waste of time and money considering I could have read the book and not taken the class and be just as knowledgeable as I am now about it.

I believe that it might be useful for future courses to incorporate material on how to become a leader. Other than that I liked the way that McClain set up the course with a mixture of presentations, discussions, and lectures.

Nothing to really improve on. Timeline for turning in the assignments were reasonable. However it was kind of stressful to turn in a case analysis every week because some of use forget to do it and we have a lot of things to do. But overall, it's college so we should be able to handle it. The grading was somewhat unfair because it is a reflection and some of the cases did not relate to the chapter, so points shouldn't be taken off for what we said in the papers.

The grading criteria should be explained with more clarity. I felt at some times the "response" papers were graded on a strict measure that did not make sense since it is a response paper.

All writing assignments are useful. I really enjoyed the guest lecturers. I really like to hear people's experiences and the things that have led them to the place they are at.

The case studies seemed to be subjective as we answered the questions but it seems we were graded on a 'right or wrong' scale and were penalized for our interpretation of the questions. Case studies should be pass or fail as long as content reaches the minimum 200 words and pertains to the asked questions.

The writing assignments are fine, its the instructor's approach to grading and helping the students with the writing that I would change.

I would space out the times between the first and second drafts for the guest speakers so the students could receive feedback and be better prepared when writing the first draft for the second guest speaker.

I enjoyed this class a lot and learned many things about leaderships. Because this is a small class, I had a chance to talk to most of classmates. I was happy to take this class from Dr. Mcclain.

I wouldn't recommend taking this course with Professor McClain, Professor Suarez is far more suitable to teach it.

I enjoyed McClain's enthusiasm for the topic and his enthusiasm toward his students. He showed that he cared more about the personal growth of the student over the grade. It opened the students up and opened the course up for a variety of opinions and allowed for mistakes to be made.

I found the information about how the central banks and government can control interest rates and the money supply as one of the most relevant chapters, because I can now connect outside factors to the news reports that I hear and magazines that I read.

The review session were the most helpful. I often found myself getting lost in the class and the review sessions and exam clues really helped to clear up some of my confusion.

I thought that the focus of the global economy was valuable due to globalization of the world economy. The thought process on a macro-level was helpful in understanding the concepts and events today. I enjoyed the course project that was broken into smaller papers. It was a load off our shoulders and also helped me to refine what types of information Professor McClain was seeking. It wasn't a hit or miss type paper, thankfully.

I think this is the one class that I've taken in Shidler that relates to international business. This was also one of the few classes that I learned the broader perspective of economics. My other classes, as an entrepreneur major, are more focused and relate to businesses.

Learning about how the world economy works, how the value of currencies happened.

The cheat sheet. And the mere, not having to go to class aspect.

The real world examples and stories helped a lot to punctuate the difficult course content and add context. Everyone needs to know about the global economic environment and how related financial concepts work!

Review Sessions

I found it most valuable that we had such an intelligent teacher. The professor related the material to real-life situations, which made the material much easier to understand. This is not easy in economics. I believe this is probably the best and most informative class I have ever taken. I would take any class this professor would teach. I believe that students who take his course are pushed to achieve great things, while doing so without too much stress. I especially liked how the professor gave readings and articles that the students could read to understand how the concepts of the class are being applied in the real world.

Could place more emphasis on the written problems and computations, less on the multiple choice.

I felt that covering nine chapters for the second exam was a bit much as far as the breadth information for the exam. I felt this also did not allow the material to be throughly reviewed. At times I was not sure if I had questions, because I had not processed the information fully. I also feel that a comprehensive final sets expectations of the student rather high, since they also have other finals to study for as well.

Interesting exam format - I like it, however, too little marks are allocated for open-ended questions.

The most valuable and helpful thing about the course would have to be the first midterm study guide. The second midterm study guide was lacking study guide questions. I like how the first study guide had questions like the midterm because it gave me a better understanding.

Course is straighforward, no surprises. Professor McClain lets you know what you need to know and does not waste your time. Accomodating and helpful. Relates topics to current domestic and international economic events.

I thought that the country report was a good project because it allowed us to use what we learned and apply it to a real world situation.

I like learning about exchange rates. I know I will apply this in the future and its not something you learn about alot in school.

Professor McClain is a nice teacher, who works on explaining concepts so that everyone can understand. He was able to answer all questions asked in class, and overall seems like he definitely knows his stuff!

What was most valuable and helpful about the course were the powerpoints available to students on Laulima. The powerpoints covered information from the text and were useful for studying. The country profile project was also useful as it allowed me to study and conduct research independently while learning new things about a different country.

The powerpoints were helpful on learning the course. Although, the powerpoints were too lengthy in the beginning, the key slides were really helpful. Also, the videos we watched during the class really helped.

I liked the global perspective, especially with the emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region since I am interested in different Asian countries. The discussions about current events also kept me up to date on things since I'm not one to read the newspaper or watch the news.

I think that reading the textbook in addition to attending class lectures really helped me grasp and understand the course material... Professor Mcclain also was willing to help students outside of class when they were struggling to grasp a certain subject...

I learned a great deal on economy internationally and it gives me a better understanding of how other country operates.

Althought Professor McClain uses an array of examples from current events, maybe he could use even more.

I think having more exams with fewer chapters and having it not cumulative would help students struggling, this way, there's less information and chapters to take into account. The amount of information and number of chapters is a lot.

More practice on the math problems. Maybe an example uploaded on laulima, so students can refer to it when studying for the exams.

Review exam materials a little more extensive. Descriptions get really narrowed down and simplified sometimes, but on exams the questions are longer and more specific.

The exams with different possible answers is not fun and it is almost confusing for me. My brain was taught to have only one answer for multiple choice so by having many possible answers it severely confused me. It's also like trick questions. Maybe having more quizzes with 3-4 chapters instead of exams with 7-9 chapters. And reducing the number of slides was very helpful!

He should come up with his own slides instead of using the text book slides because he brings up information not listed in the text and its hard to refer back to.

Do not forget to go over all material before midterm. The calculations really killed grades on the second midterm.

More time and emphasis on second portion (exam #2 contents) of course.

I feel that the map quiz could have been done in a better format as it was hard to see the map and the numbers and alphabets. Also, the constant changing between the maps made it hard to focus on that particular map.

More mini tests. Each exam contained too much information to study. It was overwhelming.

The exams were comprised of short answer math/arithmetic problem related to economic equations. I think it would have been very helpful if Professor McClain went over the problems more. Instead of compressing six different types of equations in one class session.

The original power point sucks, please tell that to the author of the book, or use a different book next semester.

It wouldn't hurt if he spoke louder, or used the microphone. Other than that, he was a great teacher and I enjoyed taking his class.

I really like the teaching method right now but I wish we could have gone over more problems that required us to solve them in the exam.

Always condense the slides as much as possible to the material that is relevant. It helps keep the students focused, save paper, and save time in the classroom to talk about the important issues.

I think i'd like to see the students get a little more involved in class lectures... We do every now and then, however I think we'd be more attentive in class if we were engaged through asking questions or giving short presentations...

Overall a good course, but towards the middle of the course material got really hard to follow. This was probably due to difficulty of material and time frame of the semester. Maybe incorporating other primary sources for learning other than mainly the ppt's, because sometimes the powerpoints can get a little monotonous.

Professor McClain is a great professor. He is insightful and intelligent and is always willing to help his students. He is one of the best professors I've had at shilder.

The review for the tests should review everything that will be on the test. Also, we should go over the entire review sheet during the review and make sure that all equations needed are listed. Also, I like the idea of having notes but the tests are still hard.

Textbook is not useful in learning material. Concepts actually seem more complicated, a waste of over $100.

McClain talks really soft in class. It is hard to hear him sometimes and a monotone voice never makes me enthusiastic about the material. Overall, I think he is a good professor and I woudl take a class form him in the future.

I think, in any campus and with any professor, BUS 313 is just a difficult course in general. I feel lucky to have taken it with what seems to be the best suited, most qualified individual to teach it. It was his first semester to teach this course and I feel lucky to have ended up in his class. No matter where you go or who you take it with, the class WILL be hard. But, Prof. McClain took what could have easily been a boring, monotonous class (although at times, it was ineviatbly so) and tried his best to make the class relatable, relevant, and interesting to his students. It is really a shame that most of his enthusiasm was lost on the uninterested and often indifferent individuals of my generation. He tried his earnest to use current events and examples to make the course easier to understand. He led me to consider majoring in Economics(even for just a day). He has become, hands down one of my favorite professors of my college career. He is an amazing teacher and person. As a teacher he made sure he was clear, very understanding, generous, and reasonable. I would take any other course he teaches.

Class contained too much information to digest in one semester. Exams were difficult to take because of the amount of information was overwhelming and hard to digest. Less material or chapters covered would ultimately lead me to learn and maintain the information.

I'm note very enthusiastic about economics in general, so it was difficult for me to retain the information and get a complete understanding of the material. I did like the study guides that you prepared for the first exam. It helped narrow down the information that I really needed to study and learn. Country profile was interesting, but I had some difficulties finding good information. Very good teacher, but again, I'm not fond of the material because of personal preference.

Having a rough draft and then a final. It helped improve my writing skills and gain the ones I've lost over time because most professors prefer only one paper, where most times content of paper is what matters and not so much grammar. Thank you.

I think that we should figure out the course structure at the beginning of the semester rather than in the middle of the semester.

Let the students talk...not necessarily present, but talk during a discusson. McClain often goes on and on by himself...and when he does want the students to talk, he calls on people rather than letting people speak on their own...so people's ideas get lost and the strong participators don't get a chance to shine. Overall, it just wasn't too much of a fun course.

A syllabus is usually the contract between a student and their professor. To change a syllabus in the middle of the semester shows one's students how unorganized a professor is. There are perhaps many reasons why, and most of them good reasons why changes were made. If these changes were made and said students had only this course to worry about it would be fine. It changed the items needed to complete the semester and the expectations. While all the changes weren't horrible or difficult, it did cause some problems in scheduling in comparison to other courses. Thank you for your time.

Maybe be clear about the objectives for this class at the beginning.

I would change the last leadership assignment to be 1000 words rather than 2000 words since our last paper ended up being over 2000 words.

I like how they were, as I would rather write a lot a few times rather than a little many times. I thought we could use more direction on our last famous/infamous leader essay.

Perhaps a better range of choices for types of papers to write. The Infamous/Famous leaders were perhaps the best. And perhaps instead of choosing a leader (first paper) we should have written about how said leader or leaders inspire a person.

In the beginning of the course, the professor mentioned that some of his past students viewed him as being a nice guy, but a bit haughty. He still comes off this way...McClain is very nice, but when he talks during class it seems like he drops a lot of names and thinks quite highly of himself.

The order the chapters were taken matched well with other courses in the school of business I have been taking through the semester. It has proved useful and understanding for the other courses. It is wonderful to see connections to other courses. Thank you for a wonderful semester.
